Question, i am more than half way done with a blanket with this stitch but I have been only changing one not 2. Should I keep it that way or start chaining 2?
Hi Brittany. Love the waffle stitch. Great tutorial. Loved seeing all the different yarns and colors and how animal fibers make a difference. Thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend!💞
Hey Noelle! I agree with others here in that it’s best to stay consistent. Turning chain height, and the “right” number is based more on each persons individual stitching height if you ask me 😊 My double crochets are as tall as two of my chains so you’ll rarely find me chaining 3 like the standard recommendation. If I do, the edges are a lot less tidy with that tall turning chain.
I adore this stitch. Now I want to start a new blanket but I've already got two going.
This is a great stitch. Thank you for the tips about blocking the projects made with natural fibers. ❤
I love this crochet stitch
Love this stitch
Lovely I love this stitch ⚘⚘⚘
How lovely! I have 3 baby blankets to make. This looks like a nice snuggly stitch for one of those!!
It really is!
Excellent tutorial.. I also like the waffle stitch. 😊

Hi noelle I dont think it will make any difference if you change to a ch 2 now..hope that helps..⚘⚘
I would keep it consistent. Keep chaining 1 if it looks fine. That’s what I’ve always heard. Keep it consistent. But you do what makes you happy.

Thanks, Thea! It’s a good excuse to try out a bunch of different yarns so I’m all in on that! 😆 Have a wonder weekend!

Love this stich, although it's a bit of a yarn eater
💖💯
You make it very confusing when you stop in the middle of the stitch and finish the row , you start talking about the yarn thickness and block ing.😢
