Oh my gosh!!!!! I’m so glad AI referred me to this video. I had forgotten about the Full Stitch. This pattern will be so helpful. I’m going to start soon. I appreciate all the tips. Wonderful tutorial.
I just started tunisian crochet. I watched so many other tutorials but this is the first which I know I can do faster. The other ones were painfully slow and taking me forever. I’m so glad I found you!!
This is truly beautiful. I am a I would say advanced crocheter, but I have yet to try a Tunisian blanket. I just purchased my first set of Tunisian hooks. Your video was great and I will reference to it when I make my first one. Thank you.
I just love your tutorial videos, they really helped me a lot! Thanks! Been knowing you ever since I've started crocheting myself, and then tunisian crochet as well.
Hello there! I love this easy pattern and your never ending easy wonderful tutorials. May I ask where I can buy the same hook as you’re using in this blanket? Thank you very much B!
I've been crocheting for a long time and tried knitting, but it's just not my thing. I want to try Tunisian because I think it's a way to do somewhat of a knit stitch but without the knitting needles. Can I ask where you got your Tunisian hook?
My first time trying Tunisian, very helpful except, I struggled with each row being the same at beginning and at end space. . Ie. Skip last space at both ends or crochet in first and last space next row. This changed my stitch count. Watching other videos they did the opposite from first space in last space, thus made more sense to me and kept my stitch count consistent.
If your blanket is getting bigger on one side (or both) it's probably due to incorrect stitch placement on that side. It's a little trickier with this stitch!
@@saraclark2926 What happens is that so far I haven't been able to see how to use the cord. I would love to see a complete project for instance one metre square blanket ... Months of searching but nothing....
Hi:) I want shop on Amazon and suport your chanel, but how? Where did you buy this crochet hook with glitter:)? I have beeing searching on Amazon web site for days and didn't find it :..( I love this blanket and I'll try to make it cuz I never made blanket using tunisian crochet ,just normal crochet stich. Hi!! Thank you so much for your super easy videos! I was wondering if you could post a video of how to knit pumpkins? I’ve been trying and none of the videos on TH-cam make any sense. thanks!
Honestly, the Addi set is my favorite so far but there are a few I haven't tried. I have a review video of it from a few years ago when I bought them here on the channel! The next set I have my eye on to try is the Knitters Pride Dreamz Tunisian set. If/when I get those, I'll definitely post a review video!
Very nice pattern. I would like to make a baby blanket in this. Is there an easy way to remember which row starts in the first stitch versus the rows that skip the first stitch? I can see myself mixing this up a thousand times! I know it is alternating, but sometimes its not so easy when looking at it.
I have regular Tunisian hooks (I've just got into Tunisian hooks) can I do this on them? I don't like wooden hooks and can't find metal afghan Tunisian hooks.
Since all of the stitches have to be on the hook at once for the forward pass, a straight 12" or 14" Tunisian hook won't work, unfortunately. A corded hook is the only option. I agree with you about wooden hooks. They're not my thing either! Metal hooks are much more difficult to find, that's for sure. I really like the Addi set I bought a few years back but it's a little pricey, honestly. Definitely only worth it if you plan to make many more projects!
Glad you like it! The hook is part of the Addi Tunisian crochet hook set. I love the set and purchased it on Amazon a few years back. I have to be honest though, it's a little expensive to get the hook set, plus the cords and stoppers you need to fully complete the set. Definitely worth it if you plan on doing more Tunisian crochet projects in the future, but maybe not worth it for a single project. The size I recommend for this project is 8 mm but as always, you'll want to use the hook size that obtains gauge 👍
Hello, I am very new to this. I like the stitch, but no one is showing how to do it with the cord on hook, so I'm not understanding how blanket is ma see with this type of hook when u want to make a blanket.I'm trying to how an blanket is made but no one goes beyond actual hook to the cord.
I am with you. I have been looking at "thousands" of videos and none explains how to do a baby blanket. They only show a tiny stich and what I urgently need is to see how they do a one metre blanket...
I NEED your help! Your pattern is GREAT! However, when I chain a certain number of chains and complete the foundation row, and start the first row, I am getting an extra stitch because I go into that last stitch. When I watch other videos, they have completely different directions for the way the rows are done. I try to count the number of stitches you have in your video, but can never get an accurate count. I REALLY want to do this stitch in a blanket but I am totally confused. Can you please help me? PLEASE😫
Hi Sandy! I'll do my best to help. The full stitch is worked in the spaces between the vertical bars so it's really easy to add a stitch by mistake. Just make sure if you work in the first space at the beginning of the forward pass, you also work in the last space of that row. Then on the following row you will skip the first and last space. You'll always work in the chain at the end of the row to give you a straight edge.
I love the look of Tunisian but I can’t seem to find a corded hook, Micheals has a set of wooden Tunisian hooks with interchangeable cords but it’s a set and it’s $200.00. What size hook and cord are you using and any suggestions on where to get them?
Yeah, that's pretty steep! I found a single hook and cord on amazon (no set) and have it included in the supplies list on the pattern page because it's much more affordable. The Addi hook I'm using is a little pricey with the set too. Totally worth it if you plan to make more Tunisian crochet projects but definitely not for just one project. As far as the cord length goes, it depends on the size you want to make. All of the stitches need to be on it at once so you'll need a longer cord for the king size than say the throw size.
Amazon sells at a reasonable price a Tunisian crochet hooks set called Denise interchangeable crochet hooks. They are made of plastic and very light weight with cords in a nice case. Hope it helps. Good luck.

Does it necessarily have to be a Tunisian hook
Yes, this stitch can only be made with a Tunisian crochet hook :)

I love the idea! I will definitely try this fall. I started experimenting with one last year so I'll have to pick it back up!
Have you done this with a double ended hook? Makes for no curling.
Kathy Jenks how long of a double ended to hold all the stitches
I need to see how stitches hold on the longest length

I know exactly what you mean! Just take a peek at the row below. You can usually see if it's to the right or left of the first bar 👍
