      No Brasil é muito comum confundirem os pronomes demonstrativos e os determinantes, pois não respeitam a regra da proximidade em relação ao objecto.

    I like the way you explained determinantes and demonstrativos. This is a good review for me. I knew this grammar but what I didn’t know was how the plural works with isto/isso/aquilo because I just realised that I have never used those words with a plural object, only with something singular! Probably just as well since I would have used incorrectly. But, now I know how to use them properly.

    • @portuguesewithmaria

      Practice making plural just for fun. If nothing else, you're improving the pronunciation and training your brain to get used to the sound /sh/.

    Love these videos, I'm new to Portugese and this has helped break it down which is amazing. I was wondering if there was some learning exercises to do to really sink it in the brain after your explanations ?

    • @portuguesewithmaria
      @portuguesewithmaria  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a great question and I can answer from my personal experience because Portuguese is not my native language. Whatever you learn, the best practice is to apply it in your daily life. You need to use it intentionally, you need to put it into practice so that your brain can understand that's actually something useful and applicable and not just another (useless) piece of information. It's good to repeat with me, it's good to write it down, but then comes the hardest or the most interesting part- understanding when and where you are going to use it. So, whatever you think about, whatever you talk about in the next couple of days, force yourself to use these words intentionally. Formulate every sentence around these words. After a while, that will become natural.
