For anyone who's disassembling the exterior panel (outside panel) of DP728 instead of P718, the instruction around 8:23 is not correct. You should align the two small triangles vertically, NOT at a 45 degree angle. Following the instruction in this video, the DP728 bolt engages but immediately goes back, repeats three times, and ends up not locking at all. Aligning the two triangles vertically completely solves the issue. Check your model number before following the instruction here.

My door would amplify any click from the mortise, very loud. Is there a way to dampen the sound?
How long or how many months does the battery last? If you’re away for on a long holiday and it turned off (empty batt)- it means you won’t be able to enter?

Hi I installed samsung shp dh538 lock bottom latch bolt won’t open but top locks work

I noticed the latch bolt doesn't move when the handle is operated. Is that by design? Wouldn't the lock get caught in the strike when tried to open the door?
That is by design. There is a latch video which explains how it functions since that is a common inquiry.
Does the same apply to the SHP DP710 model?

Yes it does. The mechanisms and gears are all the same.
They just change the model names for the american versions.

By cons I have another problem, when the door is closed and locked, if I push the handle it unlocks the door without I have unlocked it with the code. so I have an accessible door from the outside.
