Samsung P-718 installation. Big mortise.

Installing the Samsung lock P-718 with a big mortise.
I used 1 inch wood drillbit. 1 inch chisel.
This was on an existing lever and deadbolt lock configuration, trying to use and cover the previous lock holes.
I just removed the Ultralock combo fingerprint bluetooth. It is a good idea, but it badly executed.

Thank you for this video! Its impossible to find this. I'm trying to replace another Mortise Lock in the USA and m wondering if the large Mortise included is a "standard" size that should fit directly into my old one. Do you happen to know?

I dont know. I liked this big one because it covered the two holes i had from the previous setup, the normal lock and the lockbolt.

Looks like it has structurally weakened the door with that large mortise.

My door will amplify the click sound from the mortise, very loud.

I knew this Samsung door lock was using indoor area such as those city building apartment. Do you have any issue so far for the weather conditions such as rain and snow weather

I had used this Samsung lock in a house. I live in Washington DC area, where we have all seasons, heavy rain, and snows in winter. I am pleased with the lock in general. There are no complains so far. Not a single issue with this product. I highly recommend it.
