I think a lot of people overlook Prince Charmont's acceptance of Ella. Like, he didn't even know about the gift/curse and thought Ella was just a woman who impulsively did things. Like when his uncle told Ella to "hop to it," Ella literally hopped away, and Charmont was like, "Okay, I guess we're doing this now." Completely accepting of her and her "quirkiness." What a guy.
Being raised by royalty he probably thought someone like her was so badass. They also empathized early on that neither of them like having to do everything they're told! And he's also a Prince, no less 😍
I don't think any mentally healthy human would say anything bad about Anne's voice. It's probably one of the best voices I've heard and that was a big discovery for me. It's pity she almost never sings
This actually brought me to find QUEEN... When I first saw this, like 7 or 8, i genuinely thought it is a good song. After a few years,when i watched this again, 12 yrs old, i searched up the band and admired QUEEN... then i just realized I know most of their songs even before I knew them... i have been jamming to Don’t stop me now and more even before I saw this movie... Now i am 18 and i am so grateful that I found their masterpieces earlier in my life.
Freddie wrote this song over forty years ago. He felt it was a better composition than Bohemian Rhapsody. Beautiful layered harmonies by Queen. His Mother’s favorite song. Anne Hathaway is one of my favorite actresses. She is so carefree and natural. In this movie, she basically does it all! She can sing, she can dance... and it's got a great message. I'm sure sometimes everybody feels like people are telling them what to do and say all the time. And it's good to know we are not alone.
