alot of these movies weren't on VHS, why the pretense?
❤️❤️
Let her see Rio.
Anne makeup is on point. Just beautiful.
tell us why the Brokeback clip wasnt included!!!
THE FACT ELLA ENCHANTED ISNT IN THIS IS A CRIME
Yessssss I love Ella Enchanted! It was light hearted and hilarious. Anne’s character Ella was hilarious in that movie!😂😂😂😂
yes!!
Part 2!!!!!!!!!!!
I literally just said that to myself XD
I SAID THE SAME THING 😭😭😭
Not even Anne Hathaway can't escape being impressed by Anne Hathaway
She could if she wasn't full of faux humility while really being condescending
@@ania5038 oh... alright. some people are just lovely people btw
@@ania5038keep projecting your own insecurities Mary
im so glad that she acknowledges herself like yes girl we should always be our own #1 fan
@@kad3629 My name's Ania and I'm pointing out that she is rude and condescending. But whatever keep idolizing false idols.
She seems so genuinely grateful for all her opportunities. It's lovely.
She really does! She seems so likable and fun to be around
Anne giving appreciation and love to The Princess Diaries was so special for someone who grew up on the movie and the books! I got misty eyed seeing her tear up about it. So much respect for Anne!
there are the books?! 📚😮i need to google smth real quick
@@yellowcatmonkey It’s a whole series! Like 12 books I think!
I never finished those books. I wonder how they ended? 🤔 Remember enjoying the ones I could get my hands on though!
I loved the books, have read almost all of them. I still love the movie, haven’t watched it in forever though.
She practically raised an entire generation of millennials.
um, no?
Millennials mean something different for different people, most people don't consider millennials what the studies says, xennial are one thing millennials are others
She was my childhood ❤
She’s definitely my generation, as a 1998 gen Zer.
Not only millennials but also us OG Gen Z’s
Her getting emotional about Princess Diaries is exactly how I feel about that movie, that was so validating
YES YES YES!! I REWATCH IT EVERY YEAR!
Haven't watched it yet but in remember finding a corner in my school library to binge read the novel series. It was such a hilarious read
@@ilerilawal6026 Highly recommend watching!
It's so nostalgic and comforting
Definitely straight childhood memories she literally has made legendary films
IT'S HER, THE QUEEN OF GENOVIA
I love how humble she is, but also of how proud she is of herself. Such an amazing actress and human!
I like how she refers to her characters as other people. Idk there’s a kind of humbleness to it. Most actors say “I” wanted to do this or that.. she says “she’s trying to be brave”, “I feel sorry for her”.
I loved that part
i don't get why actors refer to their characters as themselves cause they're not playing themselves, they're playing characters
@@paige-xy9nf In acting class, we're usually taught to embody the character by stepping into their shoes and thinking about the characters goals and desires as our own, that's usually why actors will do that. Sure, it might seem a little strange when an actor still talks about the character like that once the movie is finished, but that' typically why they do it
Before anyone says she’s ‘aged like fine wine’, she’s literally only 41.
Yeah, so? She *is* aging gracefully and we should admire that 🤗😅.
only?
Only?
She didn't age well 😭 looks like a witch!

Anne Hathaway singing “I Had A Dream” on Les Mis had me on a chokehold for a while. She was brilliant both on the acting and the singing. She made me feel like there was a world where people sang talked/cried on the regular. It was so raw and real. I need to stop.
I cry each and every time. She filled this song with so much more emotion. Absolutely raw and beautiful.
Definitely a tear jerker.
oh the way she describes "finding" her character through a color?! incredible.
Shut up! What do you mean that it's been 23 years since "The Princess Diaries" was released?! Anne still looks as gorgeous as ever.
I see your comments everywhere hahaha, we must watch the same stuff
I beg your pardon? Shut up?
She’s still so young, can everyone shut up about her age?
When she was saying 20 years I was like wtf!! Has it really been that long? I remember seeing previews before its release 😂
I...I didn't say anything
Vanity Fair should put Ella Enchanted here too. Love that movie!
I was waiting for that one! One of my favorites next to Devil Wears Prada🥰
I absolutely hate Ella Enchanted (but because I feel it was a horrible adaptation of the book, not for any other reason)
I was hoping it would be in here too! oh well...
They should have Ella enchanted she was amazing in
The movie was a horrible, horrible, horrible adaptation. As a movie it's just okay, as a book adaptation. It needs to be buried forever so maybe a real adaptation could be made
Why is no one talking about The Dark Knight Rises? She is fantastic in that film. Probably my favourite part of the whole movie. You can tell she had so much fun filming it.
My bestie actually met her in the bathroom passing at SXSW festival 2024 and she told me even in the bathroom she was so kind. You can tell by her words she is humble and I get emotional her beautiful soul. Love you, Anne!!!
OMG yes my cousin has met her and her son (I won’t disclose the job through which my cousin has met her) but my cousin said she is very kind after speaking to her multiple times!
WHY tease us with a Brokeback Mountain tape on that table and not show us her reacting to it!?! LOVE Anne so much
Came here to say that. Was very confused.
Maybe it a part 2
THANK YOU. Came here to say this
EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same
feeling a little attacked by the fact that devil wears prada came out almost two decades ago, but happy to belong to the generation that saw it in theatres.
Me too! ❤
Devil wears Prada is on my top 10 list of movies that if I would choose I would watch for my entire life, is that iconic
Same 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Anne is so impressive. She beautifully walks that line of being humble and proud at the same time. I love her vocabulary and way of describing things too. Plus she's absolutely stunning. Now I need to go watch her more recent films... and rewatch the older ones!
Anne is so charming, the sparkle in her eyes watching the scenes is so beautiful, so genuine.
"Sorry I'm taking up too much time" I don't know about everyone else but I could personally watch Anne Hathaway reminisce about these movies for hours! These movies shaped so much of my growing up and it's so interesting to hear her takes on them. This was an awesome idea!
Me too! Wish it was longer.
Absolutely. I loved these movies and seeing her happiness reflecting made me appreciate that I did see them even more.
I was like: WHY IS SHE SAYING THAT, WHO IS RUSHING HER
When she popped back out, I was like I didn't even realise we were in there. if its an hour, we want the whole hour
When she said that I was like NOOO!! KEPP GOING
Her tearing up at princess diaries had me tearing up because that's my favorite movie and she and Julie Andrews were my childhood. They are two of the most magical people that are in Hollywood
Most of the time I think people forget that when celebrities tear up in interviews that most of them can fake cry so she's probably not getting that emotional it's probably just for the video to make you feel something and to try and foster connection to lean into your sense of nostalgia for childhood times
@@OriginalEntitySourced you must have a sad life
Have you read the books? 1-10 were great! I wasn't a big of a fan of Royal Wedding though lol
@@OriginalEntitySourced Or she's just actually happy and grateful for a movie that gave her the start of her career? That movie was basically part of her childhood too.
@@Blazing8756 completely probable. but it's not always the case. She's an actress after all and she's probably being paid to appear on the Vanity Fair channel as well so I would cry happy tears at the prospect of that alone
She seems so genuine in her responses, it's amazing to watch.
Ugh I love her so so much. She seems like such a genuine soul. The way she talks about The Dark Knight Rises makes me so happy. I still wish she got to play Selina in another film.
I would just watch an entire edit of Anne Hathaway reacting to The Devil Wears Prada
With Emily Blunt 😜
They could donate all the ad revenue to charity. I would watch it over and over.
yes!! I would watch the entire thing
I could watch along and recite the lines word for word !
I'm glad we all don't "hate" her. That was the most pathetic thing said about her in the last several years. She's literally magnificent.
That was such a weird era. Only because she was successful and in-demand 😒
Your success messes with people self-esteem and provokes envy. That’s what happened
Agreed! We were literally as a culture hating on a woman for being too eager and grateful for her job.
I definitely remember that era of people hating on her very clearly. I never understood it, she's amazing. It was probably just a round of hating 🙄 lol
@@FishareFriendsNotFood972or nudity

😢,
Some chronical online people have tried, but you know, screw them
Well i dont know why she get so much hate then pp say she change after oscar she more snob Thats why she dosent get Any roles anyway you don’t know her personally me neither so it’s difficult to say how she really is don’t forget she is a actor and actors “play” 😅

They should have more _Princess Diaries_ representation at Disney Parks.
Shes gainikg weight quickly
I could listen to her speak for hours, she's one of the most charming women I've ever seen in my life. This video made me realize that she had been a legitimate sponge while she was working with such sensational talent.
seeing how her brain breaks down things and the process of the movies she’s been is such a beautiful thing to see. i love her and have loved her in every movie she’s been in. what an AMAZING actress
“The Princess Diaries” & “The Devil Wears Prada” are the reasons I fell in love with Anne Hathaway -& I did not know Miranda Priestley’s hair was fake. That weave was laid like the film depended on it. They only missed “Ella Enchanted,” as it would’ve added one more film worthy of a mention ❤️
She's got that 'evil queen' make-up I'm digging it
Yesss same!
Yeah, she's naturally so beautiful, why all the makeup???
@@johngalt5411 because she wants to wear it lol
@@johngalt5411I know this may come as a shock to you but not everyone wears makeup to cover up their insecurities.
Make up is also an artistic expression its not just about looking “pretty”
This was so fun and touching to watch. The older I get the more convinced I am that developing Anne's kind of range comes with being a humble and dedicated lifelong learner. I thank her for all the sweet memories and wish her all the best.
So many iconic roles, and such eloquent, authentic insights. Love her!
Ugh “The Devil Wears Prada” is my go-to comfort movie. I’ve watched it so many times lol, I love it so much
She is THAT GIRL, I'm ready for the Hathaway Renaissance
I could listen to Anne reminisce about her career for hours on end I just love her! She's so down to earth and radiant! Shes gotten even more and more beautiful over the years too. I love how much she's moved by watching The Princess Diaries, her relationship between herself and Julie Andrews in this movie is everything.
The Princess Diaries will always hold a special place in my heart. So nostalgic. I still watch it at least once or twice a month .
&& The Devil Wears Prada is one of my all time favourite movies.
She is undeniably one of the most stunning actresses ever, which is saying something considering that the majority of Hollywood is filled with beautiful people.
That's your opinion.

Her Oscar win for Les Miserables was very well deserved. Despite the fact that she was unhappy about her win simply because she was uncomfortable making Les Miserables, she did a great job with what she was given in the movie. She was the best part of Les Miserables for me 🤗
Why was she uncomfortable making the movie?
@@Ohana9999Apparently Tom Hooper's direction was too much for her to handled

I love how much she loves Princess Diaries and she know how much the audience loves it too. It’s so nice to see someone with something so close to their heart.
No Ella Enchanted? I am HEARTBROKEN.
this!!
What was she in Ella Enchanted? I don’t think she was. Are you confusing her with Amy Adams?
@@cwalker6911 Enchanted is a take on Snow White/Sleeping Beauty. Ella Enchanted is a take on Cinderella. And Anne Hathaway played Ella.
@@WhiteRaven696 thank you thank you!!! I knew I was confused
I tried to come back and edit but got distracted 🤦🏽♀️
She is so stunning. Everyone should always take time to look back and see how far they've come. And also just appreciate special moments in life.
I don't comment often, but this trip down memory lane was really special. I absolutely loved watching Annie reminisce and add additional context to various films in her career. She has always been one of my favs; I wish she had time to reflect on all of her films with us!
She was also great in INTERSTELLAR, RACHEL GETTING MARRIED, BECOMING JANE, LOVE & OTHER DRUGS, THE INTERN, & BRIDE WARS. I totally see her doing a biopic on Ava Gardner. No, they're not identical, but I think Anne could pull off the role. She's very talented and easy on the eyes.
Also a biopic of Audrey Hepburn
She needs to play the other Anne Hathaway. Shakespeare's wife
Rachel getting married is such an underrated gem of a film
Anne has always been unproblematic, TALENTED, and humble.
I would love to just sit and talk to her about all the different roles she’s had through out time. I love her so much.
She’s so graceful and radiant.
Remember that time period about a decade ago when Anne Hathaway was winning all the awards and being hated by everyone at the same time in some crazy paradoxical way?? Glad we've collectively moved past that, because she's quite lovely and cool, and it's nice to have her around doing fun stuff like this video 💖 Thank you, Vanity Fair!
Wait why did people hate her???
@@dancingdani25Because she was miss goody two shoes. Beautiful, successful, popular, in demand, kind, and people are envious that people like her can have it all, so they start hating on them. Same with Taylor Swift.
@@dancingdani25 Because she is unproblematic, and the entertainment industry and a lot of people hate stars who have no "failed" events in their lives, like drugs, alcoholism, broken family, low character etc.

It's more so that people thought she seemed disingenuous. It started around the time of her Oscar win with that "It came true" speech. This was also around the time Jennifer Lawrence was on the rise and her brand was more down-to-earth, improper which really juxtaposed Hatheway's brand.
They did? Crazy. Always love her
The hair, the makeup, the nails, the furniture, the background...so well coordinated. The whole dark and sharp look is great on her!
It reminded me of her Alice in wonderland look
Love the makeup and nails too!❤
seeing anne appreciate and have so much love for the princess diaries hits my heart so much. sometimes i see a movie i LOVE, but the actor just sees it as another project they did. in a way it was healing.
I really love Anne downnnn. This is making me emotional 😭😭 she’s amazing.
Honestly, Anne Hathaway has the same accuracy as she did back in the 2000s. And she definitely deserved that Oscar for Les Misérables and when she said how radiant Julie Andrews was at 0:45 I honestly also loved Julie Andrews too. Loved her as the OG Mary Poppins and in The Sound of Music. Anne had always been lovable, iconic and talented as always.
She is so humble and genuine! So emotionally connected to and grateful for everything she’s done. I cried with her over the Princess Diaries nostalgia - lovely to know something means as much to the young actor as it did to the young viewer ☺
she's clearly a true artist who understands & executes her *craft* 💅🏻 her sincerity & depth makes me emotional
Love her ❤. Shes flawless and incredible in each of her movies 🎥. Shes so genuine
started crying when she was talking about princess diaries. that movie is sooo special to me as well, its my comfort movie. no matter how many films i've watched, i always go back to it.
Her performance as Fantine was just incredible and I always cry when I watch that scene when she's singing. So much emotion went into that role and she earned that Oscar!
🤎🤎🤎 her gratitude is so beautiful
I love this so much. I'm such a big fan, love her forever, have been keeping up with her career, and this is one of the best videos of these. She's so proud and happy of everything, it was great to watch, and couldn't help but get emotional with her. ❤
Her laugh at the start of The devil wears Prada 😂
I love the fact that Anne is Anne, she could raise the bar or level by being a big name in cinema but she remains humble and recognizes the people she works with.
Anne is everything!!
Acting and Personality are just beautiful. ♥️
It’s beautiful to see someone love themselves and their younger self this much 🥹
I re-watch Princess Diaries and Devil Wears Prada at least three times a year. Will never get enough of them.
Easily in top 3 unproblematic actress of all time. What a class woman.
She’s so pretty and i love her as an actress! She plays the best roles.
I could listen to her talk about her roles for hours, I wish she’d go on and on! I love when actors or musicians are passionate about their craft, the way they light up when they talk about jt
Hearing how proud she is of her craft is so inspiring. The passion, the attention to detail. I hope to emulate this through my acting career!
I personally think musicals that are filmed should all be live. First off it makes it less cheesy and puts way more emotion and natural connection. It’s so raw and beautiful
It's great to see some insight on her scenes and how she approached each film. She really is a talented actress with ambition and a sense of professionalism.
This was so beautiful to watch! I'd love to see her react to The Intern, its one of my favs along with Ella Enchanted 😭💖 Her acting is phenomenal and shes such a cool person 😭🖤🩷🖤🩷🖤
The way she is sitting and the scenery reminds me of the scene in "The Princess Diaries 2" when she is looking at the candidates for marriage 🥹🤍
Anne bloomed over the years. She started as a was a very eager and excited actress. I'm so glad she got involved in more complex roles. Kudos to Anne.

Shes just the most resplendent, stunning person on earth. I love her so much and she just seems so kind and happy.
Her roles have definitely become darker or mature. Starting with the witches and more recently mothers instinct and film last year which she was very manipulative can't recall the movie. Think it's called Eileen.
I love how the shock always comes in when she’s looking at other ppl not herself, bc it really shows you she’s seeing it again thru her eyes the way she did back then, vs just looking back at her previous self
