All your point are good, but I think you should not forget group role and solo role, especially in the purpose of the war. Group role can fit in milatary, basically individuals in one army who follows different patterns to change the pace of the war. solo role is the same thing,but more personal and fit more in the in personal ,rivals, and callbacks I have examples from SAO war of the underworld part 1, I was surprised by how well it was, even tho I have a lot of issues with this series. First there is a main purpose for the enemy who trigger the war, which was capturing a important person from the enemy, but this goal wasn’t know first by the hero armies, so they had individual goals with common mindset of protecting their kingdom. I want to specify roles, because all wars can’t have characters fighting mindlessly upfront, even with well executed themes, because it feels like more a battle royal.
I think the biggest problem with MHA is no one practically dying/ basically no consequence, unlike in JJK where they kill "important/popular" characters and the stakes are high.
