Nice vid. I just received my S73 R and also think the olive green is the best color. It looks way better in person than on their website. Took it for a spin today and man it was a blast!
Brian. Grab hold of the top of the spring and nut at the top of the rear shock and turn anti clockwise. This will reduce the spring compression and will soften the ride up for you. If you gain 200 lbs (joke) turn clockwise to firm it up. 100% No tools required with this. Drop off a curb if the rear bounces too much adjust the preload (red dial) . If it returns too slowly, back it off it returns without any kickback. Now you should love the bike even more if that were possible. J
The pedal crank is too far up for any serious trail riding. It really looks like it can do that, expect for pedal position. Otherwise I would keep it mostly on paved surfaces
I just found your video and I can’t stop watching! You earned yourself a new subscriber! Great videos and I can’t wait to get one of these one day. I’ve always wanted one
I bought the R cuz l love the color and l installed the kilbuilt headlight and blur boundaries low-rise handlebars but l kinda wished l would of bought the RX cuz had to buy a extra battery pack for the headlight and there's tons of wires the RX is plug and play with the same headlight it connects to the bike battery plus the RX has finders, adjustable front forks, more powerful charger, rear tail light brake light, the horn for piston brakes instead of two it's definitely worth the upgrade but the color scheme is just not as good as the R see in my opinion, put some extra options would have been worth the money for sure
Yeah I agree with you for the most part. Wish there were more options on the R and if the RX came in the green I probably would’ve just went for that one. I’m working on getting parts from Amazon to make my own headlight, but yeah sucks you can’t directly plug in to the bike like the RX.
I own an R and met a neighbor with a Hyper scorpion. We swapped bikes. They feel entirely different. The R feels like a minibike the way it sits and handles. Lots more power. It is fine if you know what I mean.
hello, i'm wondering as to what ur decision process was to get an R over an S2? i'm currently considering an S2 b/c it has front & rear lights and same motor & battery as the R/Rx. What benefits does an R have over an S2?? thanks!
My decision process was very simple. I already have the S1 and didn’t want something too similar to what I already had. I also really liked the look of the R. The benefits I would say of the R over the S2 is a better frame which I think makes the ride feel nicer and the rear suspension, the seat is also pretty comfortable. The benefit of the S2 is you get the lights, save money, and can put two people on the seat. If you’re coming from nothing the S2 would be an excellent choice. Don’t think about it too much, you’re only delaying how long you wait to have fun riding it!
@@johnfretz1938 oh yeah I know what you're talking about, that is a massive hill! I haven't gonna down that one but I did Rancho Del Oro down to OC Blvd which is kind of similar and I had absolutely zero issues
Torn between the r and RX. I just want this Olive green with all the RX features. If I were to add the lights and fenders do you think the suspension is really that much better on the RX? Riding mostly on flat land in Florida
Yeah that was the main selling point for me, the Olive green color. But I think the suspension will be fine for you, especially on mostly flat. I take my R on trails and I don’t really wish I had more
So I live in Los Angeles and want to stay legal, I see the unlimited mode at 12000watts, obviously I wont be riding in that mode but just having the bike with that option is it still legal? Its really this bike or the zx for me but i would prefer this one for the shocks. thx
Looks to me that battery easily could have been positioned below the frame bar instead of above, giving the bike a lower center of gravity. Anybody know the reason why not??
There are actually screw holes where you can put the battery under the bars or to add a second battery. But it was placed on top to look like a gas tank on motorcycles since Super73 makes their bikes to look like them.
I’m just hesitant to buy this style e bike since I live in the city where lurkers prey. I think I may be safer buying one that looks more like a normal 🚴 bike
If you put a lot of effort and take off the handlebars maybe. I put the Super73 Z1 in the back of my Jetta with the seats down but it's a much small bike
I would say that the advertised 75 miles are if you pedal assist on the lowest (eco) setting. anything after that 75 miles is not possible. Without pedal assist id say 35 miles max and with the highest (fastest) pedal assist you can add a few miles but I rarely use it so I'm not sure how many
Debating on getting the S2 so been watching a few of your videos. Still undecided! Just worried about the longevity of the motor and seen a few issues with getting ahold of customer service. Have you run into any of those? Thanks man. Sorry I know this is for the R. Lol.
Haha yeah no worries, glad you’re enjoying the content! If that’s the bike you want just pull the trigger man!! I haven’t had any issues and you shouldn’t have issues either. They are on version 3 of the motor now and those issues are from previous motor versions. I’ve also seen version 1 motors go 1000 miles. I think you should be fine, enjoy the bike dude!! 🤙🏼
