Great video! I came across it by random.... and I'd already contacted Super73 and was about to buy the S2.... now I'm back to square one and looking at this Juiced HyperScrambler 2. I like the longer range and the higher top speed 👍
using the scorpion " tall seat set " a 2nd battery with a toggle switch can be added under the seat - inside the tall seat set. it would have to be a custom diy battery
I bought one! And it's more then what it's advertised in a fun👍🏻mud flaps are a must! I Road this bike all day looking for a new home 40miles of riding and I still had 5 bars left😳 the bike wore me out and it still was asking for more. It took me awhile to get sold on juiced bikes. This hyperscrambler 2 is worth every penny so far. I grow up in San Diego and live in las vegas Nevada. Great bike and a head turner and fits well here in Sin City💯💯💯💯💯
There’s a electric group ride that rides on sundays @ 9:00am on Hollywood and highland. It’s small ish but they group ride to the observatory. Super fun ride
i got the hyperscorpion and the hyperscrambler 2 - love them both. the horns are great when riding on the road with traffic but too loud and rude sounding for bike paths with pedestrians. i put a small left hand bell upside down under the display. i did have adjust the the display and mirror slightly to allow it to fit.
got 2 Ripcurrent S and 2 Hyperscorpions put over 6,000 miles on them last year (also lost 68 pounds)... tomorrow my Hyper Scrambler will be delivered can't wait 😃
@Finance Simply Explained I had a battery issue with the hyperscorpion but Juiced took care of it right away Overall extremely happy with these bikes biggest issue for me is blowing tires and it's cost me a lot of money last year
@Finance Simply Explained well with all those miles I'm bound to get a flat You can and should put goop in your tires and recently I found some hi tech inserts you can buy to minimize that My problem is that if I'm on the bike trail or on the street there's always going to be a deck screw 4-in long or a jacket piece of metal that you won't see till the last second because you're going so fast or not at all and then boom your flat It's always the back tire My theory is that the front tire launches it into the back tire But because of that removal of the whole back assembly plus repairs is usually about 50 bucks which doesn't sound that bad but happens to me all the time and sometimes you have to replace the tire which is 50 bucks Still chump change compared to what experiences I've had and losing weight on top of that
@Finance Simply Explained Omg Yeah read the manual it's an easy fix when you go to through the steps, takes a minute to get into the computer and change it My rip current S easily does 30 plus when you pedal your ass off I've had it up to 38 going downhill that's scary, but one thing I love about these is they're way more stable than the hyperscorpions You can easily ride no hands and I'm not even good and those fat knobby tires go everywhere I now have the hyperscrambler and it's everything that I wanted in a bike except for tires and I'm changing those out for nobbies Oh wait you said throttle, yeah I pedal all the time That's my thing if you want 30 mph throttle only you'll have to get the hyperscrambler
@Finance Simply Explained Juiced does an exceptional job of packaging the biked You can assemble them yourself with the help of another person, if you go slow and carefully it'll take less than an hour The biggest thing is to line up the disc to the caliper space when mounting the front tire, Don't touch the disc and make sure you align it very slowly should pop in easily Everything else should be good to go after that, just a little time consuming things like fenders and pedals Also remember that the left pedal is reverse thread the right pedal normal
Love the functionality. They should make one look like a puch magnum or the BlackTea! Don't sacrifice the 100 mile range and have an option for a faster max speed!
Just get a Puch Magnum and be done with it. Actually I mean just get started on it. 70cc kit, bigger carburetor, low restriction air cleaner, expansion chamber exhaust, higher gearing, go 50 mph, make noise, make smoke, HAVE FUN. Oh, and an unlimited range.
I THINK I’m in LOVE 😍 I WAS procrastinating About the aerial GRIZZLY perhaps THIS is WHY ! Personally I don’t NEED NO DARN APP I CAN’T load apps on my phone ANYWAY ( another story for another day ) ! are the head lights BRIGHTER than those on the GRIZZLY the way you stated SOUNDS like they may be ? I feel CLOSE to ordering THIS e-bike ! Will take a little time to investigate But LIKE the style and color and the standard features b4 BLACK was only what I was considering ... Redshift arclight peddles , rear bike rack I’m GOID to GO !
I like having my scrambler or other eRides in the house anyways. Every 5 minutes, look over from my desk lovingly, just take it in, and smile. And sometimes get up, throw a leg over it, and roll it back and forth. No power. Just rolling across the floor like a childish A-hole. It's like a work of art that you can ride.
Look, I like an Emmett Short eBike review just as much as anyone. But, if I'd known you were UNBOXING a $3k eBike, I might've clicked faster. Unboxing is still extremely satisfying. Regardless, amazing bike. I might have to steal this one, too. Wait. What?
Let’s go ride bikes! Because we’re nowhere near being out of this damn pandemic. Wish it was true that we were close to being back to normal. New sub from the Andes Mountains of Ecuador. Can’t wait till some better options for ebikes become available here.
I own it, it is great but if you want a pedal bike with ebike abilities so you can ignore the hills this is not the best bike. The reason is the positioning between the seat and pedal. You have to do a lot of downward pedaling where your feet have to go back too far to be comfortable, and more importantly you lose power pedaling that far back. It is great for in town short jaunts, but if you live in a rural area like I do there are some issues with using it. I am definitely not saying it is a bad bike or not to get it, I am just saying that you need to make sure it will fit your intended use. For me, I wanted an eBike that I could use as a pedal bike for exercise, and use the eBike on drastic hills, when I run to a local store. I had the additional requirement that it be a fat tire bike as many of the shortcuts around here are dirt trails. This seemed to meet all of the requirements, but having used it I found that the pedal usage is limited to the seating position and can become difficult on rough terrain, which is the reason for the fat tires. To summarize... excellent bike, excellent quality, just make sure it is appropriate for your needs. It was my first eBike, so I blame myself for not knowing what I needed to in order to make myself 100% happy.
Look at the specialized mission control app for the Turbo e bikes. You can use you smart watch to monitor your heart rate and control your pedal assist to maintain a certain heart rate. Excellent way to get cardio on the ebike, or also be efficient in supporting you not get sweaty at work with out eating more of your battery than neccessary. I am considering getting a GPS tracker for $125 with a $4 monthly subscription. It's another device to charge, but worth it. It would be awesome if there was an integrated option, even if it came with a subscription.
That's for people that care about that sort of thing. I want land cruisers! Effortless riding with speed on tap. And not pay a ridiculous price for it lol I've owned expensive big brand ebikes and they are no fun to me. Give me a 1000w bafang hub drive fat bike with the option to throw as many amps as I want at it with many accessory options (including Bluetooth tech) cool displays and have some fun for a 3rd of the price :)
Super 73 has a 2000 watt motor but that is peak power. Juiced bikes hyperscrambler 2 also has a peak power of 2000 watts. 1000 watts is the nominal rating. This is the reason for similar performance of the speed.
That was actually really good video. I like your attitude. Not sure if I want one of these next to 4 motorcycles but, who knows. Maybe one for half price.
Cheers thanks. Yeah motorcycles are very cool but you can take this think on the beach boardwalk and off the beaten path without people freaking out at you. I take it on the subway to commute downtown. It’s pretty great.
Dude, just come across your chanel and I couldn't help noticing your resemblance to Kevin Spacey! Has any one else noticed it? Great review btw, cheers
@@SpideyDelivers great purchase. I almost got the x class 52v. I like that it’s also full suspension, it’s lighter and $900 cheaper. But I am afraid if I don’t go all out then I’ll end up being impulsive and end up ordering the grizzly as well. I also ordered the d class for my wife since it’s a lower profile for her shorter legs
That other bike is a Juiced Hyper Scorpion and I have one. Interestingly they both come with the retro blade motor. I guess the original Hyper Scrambler 1000w motor bit the dust. I noticed on the web site they sell the retro blade w/wheel. Thinking about getting one as I worry about Juiced Bikes status as long time player. I say this as they are more focused on selling then customer satisfaction. Their web site promotes bike sales at the sake of all else. Would like to see more accessory choices that aren’t placative. That include promises made i.e., rear delivery rack (for all) as implied in the roll out vid. Also upgraded phone mount didn’t happen. Again the accessory list is dismal! Should mention I bought the duel battery switch kit and waiting for Panasonic’s 52v 30ah battery to put on the back rack fitted, with a Pelican case. I got aluminum color choice too yeah that is the best in my opinion as it doesn’t look dirty after multiple rides. Nice editing on you video. Hey how are your front forks? Those things suck man got new air shock Snow’s on the way. Also the brakes are crazy stupid and replaced them too (Magura). When “all” upgrades are dialed and tucked it’ll be best on the market!
Thanks for the info! Yea I’m still waiting on a few accessories. I hope juiced stays in business. My front forks are good. Shots are good. I could use some higher handle bars. Brakes work great too!
Cool review amigo. You got the right personality for this. I have a HS2 with 1500 miles on it. It's super fun. Best features: dual battery capacity, full suspension, key lock, turn signals, and speed. Worst features: terrible seat, squeaky brakes, crappy tires. All of those features can be upgraded of course.
Yeah actually I will! I was trying to find someone with one so I can do a comparison video. I actually am about to do another ebike review too. After it would be cool to compare all three in one big video.
Are u related to Kevin spacey? Your could be ;-) But great review and sad it down come in Europe or here in Denmark. Greetings and good luck on it, just buyed a Coopop Cox scooter ;-) All electric
Nice edit btw. But as for the bike idk, Super73 just have that IT factor...especially the styling of the S2 very classic cafe racer look, and let’s face it we Americans love personalizing. So the aftermarket upgrades for those bikes are half the fun of it.
How has it held up? I keep reading about juiced bike's battery connector issues and then they wait for your warranty to expire before they respond to you the yu have to buy a new battery or other parts. Have you had similar problems? Thank you.
@@emmettshort unfortunately no, but audio engineering, I find is fairly flexible l, virtual doesn’t seem to interfere with workflow too much. @Matsuemusic insta.
Hi! Great review! That thumb throttle was something I didn't even consider before! How is it going up a decent hill alone? I live in Seattle and....we got hills...a lot if them. Thanks!
Man I know I said Ariel rider is the best cafe e bike but shoots I’ve been saving so many delays and these juice e bikes literally comes way faster. I would totally get this bike and just install a 72v 50ah battery with a new controller.
That similar acceleration between the two different motors isn't surprising. Wattage is really one of the least important specs for a motor. We're used to combustion engines expressing power in horsepower, as an output, and we think that just because 1 HP is roughly 750W, that it's exactly the same concept. For an electric motor, wattage is just a measure of how much power is being drawn to run the motor. Losses to inefficiencies in the motor and electrical systems notwithstanding, watts in equals watts out, sure, but the wattage is really only expressing _one_ characteristic of the motor, how thirsty it is. Internally, two identically powerful motors might be geared differently, or be optimised for different cruising speeds. If a 1000W motor and a 2000W motor give the same acceleration, that tells me their torque is about the same, but the 2000W motor might have a higher top speed, or be more efficient cruising at a higher speed. It's like the old wisdom comparing 4 cylinder cars to V8s. A 4 cylinder might be more efficient for city driving, with lots of stops and starts, but a V8 hits its stride on the open road, for long haul cruising.
Hi Emmett - have you taken a look at the Rize Blade 2 ? New model coming out soon. Its about $700 cheaper and seemingly better equipped. Just put down a deposit.
I bought a Hyperscorpion but it never arrived from FedEx(pretty sure it got stolen during the riots)...Juiced was pretty cool and gave me a refund I ended up getting a Monday Gen7 bike and I love it
2000watt motor is illegal in CA for a bike. Unless you intend to register it like a moped or a motorcycle the limit to legally ride without registration is 750watt motor. :-( I know.
Good luck trying to register it with the DMV lol. It’s a 50/50 shot even with electric bikes as powerful as the Sur Ron and Onyx RCR. They see this as an ebike. These bikes fall into a grey area that the law really hasn’t adjusted for. As of right now, no cop is gonna care or ask if the motor is over 750w. You really gotta piss a cop off for them to waste their time on paperwork for this lol
This bike without an adjustable seat will not fit everyone comfortably, if you have to buy online, keep this in mind especially if they don’t have at least a week of a no questions asked return policy. This is especially important if you need to pedal for exercise and the seat height affects your pedaling.
I haven't gotten mine yet, it's in shipping Hell. I'd like to see a video of shifting. What gears dod you use? Do you start out in the lowest gear? I read some people only use the top three gears. It seems to me properly shifting would give you better range.
@@johnalex6309 You're right I was originally going to get a mid drive and I think pedaling is necessary. However pedaling a hub drive at startup will save some battery.
Great review! Thanks. My wife and I just got Scorpions from Juiced and just love them so far. Couldn’t agree more about the mirrors - I didn’t even instal mine on my Hyper Scorpion... had the same thought on the bar end mirror. Can you link to the one you picked up and does it work ok? Also... love the sticker idea. Amazon for those too?
Supper 73 is full of it. If I had to guess the 73 has a 750w watt motor and a 28amp controller. That would put it around 1350 peak. And that would put it in line with the original X class. Definitely not 1200 continuous and 2000 Peak. When you had your first scrambler were are you able to derestrict it? I have read that thay are stuck at 20 mph throttle only. Is there a way around that, that you know of?
I actually just started checking these bikes out. Already falling in love w/ them. At first I thought they all came w/ 2 batteries. Will a single battery have a 100 mile range?
It all really depends on what speed you're going. In the product FAQ, you can see an expected range for the batteries. It's kind of disappointing the 2 battery version is sold out at the moment.
What are the benefits of having 2 batteries on the Hyperscrambler 2? Is it just more range? Does it give you better acceleration and or speed? Also, how comfortable is the seat? I cant' decide between the Hyperscorpion or this.
I believe it's just for range. I don't think you get any added acceleration. The seat is pretty great compared to normal bike seats. It's a tad stiff but not enough to be uncomfortable and I'm assuming it will get broken in a bit. either way... use my link! :)
I have a super 73 RX its a different look and total different e bike mine I love and I also want one of these The best one I loved was the original super 73 bike this hyper scrambler reminds me of that one !!!
Clip-off rack? Right after you told us how the previous one was stolen? Nah, they're good there. I think the fender set should be included at this multi-kilobuck price point, or at least don't gouge for them! ($150? Really!?)
Been a while sense you made this. But there are these $15 thumb throttles and if you put it facing upwards, when you press it down it'll be level with the bar so you're holding it flat. I find with those, I can hold the throttle, have my hand on the brake lever ready, and still be able to maneuver the bike one handed around tight curves. Less of a pain on your thumb and a better ride all around.
Hey man. I wanted to ask what you think of the weight difference from the original scrambler (I think you said you had that model first)? The Hyper 2 seems to be about 40+ lbs heavier. Is it super heavy in comparison? Does the extra power in the hyper 2 motor make up for the extra weight? Any thoughts you have to share would be great. Thanks and great video! One more thing! Can you remove the rear license plate holder or is it looking like a permanent thing? Thanks again!
It’s def heavier. I removed the second battery and attached a bag under the seat. I think this improved the looks besides making it lighter. This one is def faster than my old city scrambler. Much quicker off the line. Looks like you can remove the license plate but not sure if you’d lose the brake light too
@@emmettshort Awesome. Thanks a bunch for the information! Even though it's heavier I'm glad to hear it's still quick. The license plate holder would be nice to remove but that's not a deal breaker. I'm getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger on the purchase. Thanks again. Peace..

It's always the back tire My theory is that the front tire launches it into the back tire
But because of that removal of the whole back assembly plus repairs is usually about 50 bucks which doesn't sound that bad but happens to me all the time and sometimes you have to replace the tire which is 50 bucks

Great bikes but their tires suck, many folks wiping out with those slick tires, swap them out for all-terrain tires.
Except you can’t take it on the subway or side walk cause the motor is to big and it’s illegal but everyone does it anyway and so would I
I have the Hyperscorpion. The rear rack is so nice, and I made a clip to easily snap between multiple racks or a passenger seat. Nearing 1k miles 😀
Can you send me a link to what you did? I wanna do exactly that
How many miles are you getting on a full charge?
Really cool show great work The Gillman in Germany.
Great review bro! I have a S73 S2. I live on the west side of LA. You should come to group rides with us or go for a ride together for content haha 🤟
Great work, thanks ;)
Great review!!
Dammit just another thing I need to have. Although I really want an electric scooter that will go like 40.
Nice edit btw. But as for the bike idk, Super73 just have that IT factor...especially the styling of the S2 very classic cafe racer look, and let’s face it we Americans love personalizing. So the aftermarket upgrades for those bikes are half the fun of it.
I’m personalizing mine a bunch. Video on that soon
Great review! Waiting for mine to come!
Nice. The rear shocks are everything
How has it held up? I keep reading about juiced bike's battery connector issues and then they wait for your warranty to expire before they respond to you the yu have to buy a new battery or other parts. Have you had similar problems? Thank you.
I’ve had zero problems with the bike. Other than I ordered some foot pegs that never showed up. But they refunded me the money for those
Love the editing. Great Content. Long time fan. One critism: 4:00 this gave me crazy motion sickness. Maybe I am the only one?
Hope so!!
@@emmettshort If you ever need a sound guy! Let me know! Would love to help your channel out!
You in LA?
Did they fix the issue with the upside down left handed gear shift ?
The girl friend part was funny lol
Haha. Thanks. She’s very accepting
I have the Hyper Scorpion 👍👍
Hmm I wonder if those rear shocks would work on the Grizzly I ordered. They look a little longer 🤔🤔
ya ur filming and editing is on point, u should do a side by side with the ariel x class 52v
you got one?
Hi Emmett - have you taken a look at the Rize Blade 2 ? New model coming out soon. Its about $700 cheaper and seemingly better equipped. Just put down a deposit.
Which one is better Hs2 or Ariel grizzly?
🤷🏼♂️
What software youtube video you use?
4:57 where did your arm go?!? Lol
Haha. The camera ate it. RIP ARM.
Do you recommend this bike or the super73 S2?
Emmet, you need to be the new host of Double Dare!
The good thing with most alarms on ebikes, you switch off the batteries... No more alam. You d better remove those switches
Love this bike had it for a week until I got killed for it... I love LA
:-( I know.
But this one has 1000watt
Why shift a hub drive? It has no effect on top speed unless you're pedaling, so leave it in "high" gear and adjust your PAS.
Great video dude
Thanks man!
How do I find your late night show about futurism?
I will be buying the same bike with my tax return. It will be my 3rd e-bike.
These are the bike's that'll eventually get actual ebikes banned from bike paths and sidewalks. That's a moped with pedals not a bycicle.
true! but I'll enjoy it while it lasts!
8:21 *YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO*

I actually just started checking these bikes out. Already falling in love w/ them. At first I thought they all came w/ 2 batteries. Will a single battery have a 100 mile range?
It all really depends on what speed you're going. In the product FAQ, you can see an expected range for the batteries. It's kind of disappointing the 2 battery version is sold out at the moment.

What a bad ass bike 🔥
What are the benefits of having 2 batteries on the Hyperscrambler 2? Is it just more range? Does it give you better acceleration and or speed? Also, how comfortable is the seat? I cant' decide between the Hyperscorpion or this.
I believe it's just for range. I don't think you get any added acceleration. The seat is pretty great compared to normal bike seats. It's a tad stiff but not enough to be uncomfortable and I'm assuming it will get broken in a bit. either way... use my link! :)
@@emmettshort Thanks for the reply! 👍🏼
How long was shipping
Hmmm.... so you got carpel tunnel from editing? You’ve earned my sub for your suffering.I’ll come here if I decide to buy this
Haha. I do!! I need a cortisone shot for sure. Thanks 😉
I have a super 73 RX its a different look and total different e bike mine I love and I also want one of these The best one I loved was the original super 73 bike this hyper scrambler reminds me of that one !!!
Great video and great bike! I’m still praying that they could ship internationally.:(
I love it! They should. I mean they’re all made in China.
@@emmettshort apparently they can’t and it’s just sad.
Nice bike! ....Nerd! That toy doesn't even cause hearing damage!
Haha. Unless you fall on your ear!
Clip-off rack? Right after you told us how the previous one was stolen? Nah, they're good there. I think the fender set should be included at this multi-kilobuck price point, or at least don't gouge for them! ($150? Really!?)
Didn’t see the link to buy it
Been a while sense you made this.
How many miles are you up to now?
What’s everyone’s opinion on the zugo rhino e bike
Haven’t seen it but I do have another ebike review coming
Yes absolutely very nice bike 🏍
Peace..
Do people ride their bikes on the sidewalks on the west coast?
Just depends. That’s what I like about this bike. It can go anywhere.
damn for the 3k price tag I think I'm gonna go for a grom instead
