I love how the old Wario game boy games didn’t degrade themselves by having him rely on farting as an attack. Wario had his special hats in the first game and got his special abilities from his enemies in this one! And he just used his raw strength and brute force to get through in both. Also its too bad that this wasn’t Wario’s normal color palette. Yellow and black suits him much better than purple overalls and green shoes.
Tbh I was never a fan of Nintendo focusing on farts and stuff. Seemed to become a thing more around Smash Brawl, even more so than Wario Ware. Wario was a bit of a bad ass in the Land series, now he’s a bit of a loser

Wario Land 2 is the game that made me into the Wario fanboy I am today. It was just so *unique* for the time, and really felt more like a puzzle adventure game than a Mario obstacle platformer. Really fleshed out Wario and gave him a personality. And I was also sold because the path that is just "don't press anything and Wario sleeps through everything" is hilarious

Sheesh I forgot how unique and open Wario land 2 was. The alternative paths and unique endings make this pretty awesome to begin with. And ya ever noticed how Wario Land 2 feels like a Shantae game? Maybe I'm just dumb I feel like there's a lot of similarities. Also For some reason I kinda wish they took some notes from this game when making New super Mario bros 2. Would be nice to have an incentive to gather coins meanwhile Wario already had that.

This was my first Wario game, I first played it on an online emulator before buying it on the 3DS eshop and I loved how Wario couldn't die since I thought it'd be easy but now, I appreciate it since they still managed to give a good challenge even with Wario being invincible.
This video has convinced me to check out Wario Land 2 sometime. I'm not sure when I'll get to it with my backlog of games I want to play or replay, but this game looks really cool. It's weird I haven't played more Wario Land games cuz I love Wario. Of course, I've not really been much of a handheld gamer, so that explains it (I guess), but I need more Wario in my life.

Wario land 2 is my personal favorite of the series. I like how the main mechanic is doing something to wario and trying to figure out how to utilize said forms.
I didn't expect this game to have an Unknown Body equivalent of a final level! And I'm sure only the people who've grown up with Terminal Velocity on PC will get that reference. Or at least they will if they play the remaster coming later this week.

As a result, I'm trying to watch the other Wario Land videos to get me caught up. It really is amazing how much of a difference in time would change not only our attitude, but also your commentary! In fact, you even examined the rest of the game! With that said, you still preserved the charm of this channel, which is very good! By the way, I won't tell anyone you broke the pipe. My favorite of the classic Wario Land games. Wario Land 3, it's a bit hard to figure out where to go, sometimes. Wario Land 4 encourages you to take damage to undergo transformations, while simultaneously _discouraging_ you from taking damage because you're no longer invincible. And Wario Land 1 is fine. A good Mario Land alternative.
I'm pretty sure that the transformations in Wario Land 4 don't damage you. You only take damage from attacks whose primary function is to damage and stun you, not from things like getting set on fire or turned into a spring.
Correct. But unless you're familiar with the game, you don't know which enemies are safe to get hit by. So you're needlessly taking damage from enemies because they may or may not have caused a transformation.
Nice! As a kid Wario Land 2 always gave me trouble, I was too dumb to figure out anything and I had the worst aim for the rabbit basketball game. Great review as always covering the game and extras from start to finish. Will be looking forward to your Wario Land 4 review, since its my favorite of the series and I replayed it way too much over the years.
A neat theory about the giant tap that i've seen is this: Wario doesn't want to take a bath. Ever. So he bought a giant water tap, so that way it's impossible for him to ever take a bath because his water tap's too big.
This was basically the first youtube chanal with a theme and series i ever watched wayback in 2014 . It also introduced me to a ton of new english swear words and sx jokes. Little 10 year old me did not get 90% of the adult jokes back then but it did not matter since i hade finally found an animated mario character😅 Nowadays I appreciate the amazing commentary and gameplay instead. That’s not a bad theory actually. There’s a level in Wario Land 3 which has a similar level theme, it appears as a random portal on the world map. Could be the void between dimensions or something like that

@TheLonelyGoomba I also have another theory that the pyramid in Wario master of disguise is the golden pyramid in Wario land 4. It's sunken underground and the story of the barudo kingdom that the pyramid takes place at seems to fit in. What I can't understand is why Terrormisu's human form is tiramisu, which actually resembles the princess of the game: "for the frog the bell tolls" and also features the old man with the brain tumor from Wario land 4, who is also the same one who throws the invisibility potions at you from Wario land 3. I am Confused!

I was trying to watch all your previous videos before I looked at this one, but the fact that you uploaded the video of the next game in the series changed my plans a bit. As a result, I'm trying to watch the other Wario Land videos to get me caught up.
It really is amazing how much of a difference in time would change not only our attitude, but also your commentary! In fact, you even examined the rest of the game! With that said, you still preserved the charm of this channel, which is very good!

My favorite of the classic Wario Land games. Wario Land 3, it's a bit hard to figure out where to go, sometimes. Wario Land 4 encourages you to take damage to undergo transformations, while simultaneously _discouraging_ you from taking damage because you're no longer invincible. And Wario Land 1 is fine. A good Mario Land alternative.
I'm pretty sure that the transformations in Wario Land 4 don't damage you. You only take damage from attacks whose primary function is to damage and stun you, not from things like getting set on fire or turned into a spring.
Correct. But unless you're familiar with the game, you don't know which enemies are safe to get hit by. So you're needlessly taking damage from enemies because they may or may not have caused a transformation.
I really look forward to WL 3, my favorite of the series

Nice! As a kid Wario Land 2 always gave me trouble, I was too dumb to figure out anything and I had the worst aim for the rabbit basketball game. Great review as always covering the game and extras from start to finish. Will be looking forward to your Wario Land 4 review, since its my favorite of the series and I replayed it way too much over the years.

A neat theory about the giant tap that i've seen is this: Wario doesn't want to take a bath. Ever. So he bought a giant water tap, so that way it's impossible for him to ever take a bath because his water tap's too big.

That scary last level is a cave holding an opening into Rudy's dimension, which captain syrup discovered and used to hide away treasure.
That’s not a bad theory actually. There’s a level in Wario Land 3 which has a similar level theme, it appears as a random portal on the world map. Could be the void between dimensions or something like that
@TheLonelyGoomba Yes, it is that very level that led me to this theory! Also, It's a scary clown, so it living in a messed up place like that just makes sense!
@TheLonelyGoomba I also have another theory that the pyramid in Wario master of disguise is the golden pyramid in Wario land 4. It's sunken underground and the story of the barudo kingdom that the pyramid takes place at seems to fit in. What I can't understand is why Terrormisu's human form is tiramisu, which actually resembles the princess of the game: "for the frog the bell tolls" and also features the old man with the brain tumor from Wario land 4, who is also the same one who throws the invisibility potions at you from Wario land 3. I am Confused!
