How did you know it was my Birthday, and that I would really appreciate a video from you analyzing one of the weirdest Nintendo games of my early childhood? Thank you! Also, the general weird, creepy vibes + the beat-em-up combat of Wario World can be easily explained by the fact it was made by Treasure. Treasure was known for some incredibly weird AND awesome games like Gunstar Heroes, Silhouette Mirage, Radiant Silvergun and Mischief Makers. On top of working on a Wario game for Nintendo, they made licensed games for random Western IPs such as Ronald MacDonald (the MacDonald's clown mascot) and especially a few games for the Tiny Toons franchise for whatever reason.
I gather most Nintendo fans aren't familiar with the tiny, celebrated studio behind Wario World (Treasure Corp.), as they were strictly a SEGA affiliate back in their heyday. They were a tiny, independent company, and the reason Wario World is short, sweet, and unbalanced is down to Treasure excelling at short, tight, 2D arcade/action titles (with outlandish creativity being their calling card) but sadly, they always struggled with 3D development. It should also be noted that they were juggling a LOT of work to pay the bills around the early-mid 2000's. Wario World was their second true 3D game, and possibly their last (the first one was the insane Stretch Panic on the PlayStation 2, from 2001, which Wario World borrows quite a lot from).
