Her yodels are so clear that they sound silvery and almost mechanical. Stunning.

It’s so good! Thanks for taking the time to comment! I did a small gig in Virginia years ago and we had a few locals who were blue grass musicians join the show, none of them could read a single note of music, they had no idea what a “key” was, but they played the heck out of an upright bass and banjo. Learning by ear is in the culture of her style of music, whether it be country or folk, cattle ranchers used yodeling in their music since they migrated from Europe. It’s amazing that they showcased it, it’s an original piece of Americana.
Ruby Leigh is as beautiful a person as she is a vocalist. Had the opportunity to hear her close up and observe the audience. Everyone was weeping. She brings the emotion of any song.
The dynamics of her yodeling range is INSANE
Her voice has everything. Power, clarity, and could hit those high notes!

It's no accident Ruby is in the Semi-Finals on the Voice. All her performances along the way have been great! Now we will see if she makes it to the finals. She has competition, but she also has the talent and skill to win the show!

I grew up with my momma singing and yodeling to this exact song and many more and I have to agree, you either can or you can’t and as much as I’m a huge fan of Reba, she doesn’t have the natural ability to yodel like Ruby and my momma. It was effortless! LeAnn Rymes is another natural yodeler. ☺️ thanks for you professional take on this.

I have rewatched this audition, all her performances on The Voice and all sorts of older videos on her official website and things posted on you tube over and over again. David Brailey, sir, you would NOT BELIEVE there was actually an adult who commented on her Voice audition video that it was bad karaoke at best. I was appalled at the audacity of a grown man whose pleasure seemed to come from bashing this amazingly talented young lady... She is phenomenal, and anyone with ears can hear the joy she has in singing...
