Chris Stapleton is a very talented songwriter and has been in the industry for ages but he destroyed Tennessee Whiskey which most know to be by George Jones (who made it a classic to begin with), but was originally recorded by David Allen Coe. Stapleton's relentless whining makes my ears bleed but hey, to each their own right.
They are killing it. Country is awesome music and i do not see why it should be restricted to americans. ALTHO to be real, i do not think a german can write country song. He does not live that kind of life, so to write a country song you would have to be from US. But when it comes to singing, anyone can.
Tulsa Time dude is going to be really good in a few years when his voice matures more and he has more experience under his belt. Loved how he put that little swing in there.
