So there I was sitting at a picnic table enjoying a milkshake and burger with my wife and dogs when I see someone strangely familiar-looking going into the cafe. Then I look over and see Elrond parked in the shade. Kind of a trip to have a wild Rosa sighting! We went and drove around on the playa too, of course.

Very wise to keep moving with the wasps swarming. In dry areas insects will swarm you for any moisture, even from your car/engine area. I got my rental sleeper van taken over by bees in Joshua Tree this summer. It took 2+ hours to get back in my vehicle. Thank you to the nice family that actually helped me to the ranger at the gift store! To hell with the 15 or so cars that did not 😅 and just left me there.

I bought a 2004 Honda Element today. I needed a low mileage daily commuter. I bought an Element because even though I'm old, I'm not dead yet and I still dream of better days and moments of wonder. I blame you and this channel for that, a little bit btw anyway. Thanks.
That was quite a dinner you rustled up - looked delicious. I love the Alvord Desert; was there 3 yrs ago this week - but I wouldn't do it in a tent again. I got rained on one day, and didn't think I needed to stake out the tent walls. 😆 it was a short rain, but strong wind. Blew one wall off the tent inward, and had to go out in the rain to pull the tent wall out, and hold it until the wind & rain stopped. It was a mess. BUT the worst was yet to come - huge dust storm pounded my tent. Needless to say, rainflys do NOT help in any way in keeping dust out. 😆 It was like a blizzard of dust inside the tent - coated EVERYTHING. Also, it destroyed the door zippers on the tent, so I had to replace it under warranty. I did get to see ultralight aircraft takeoff from near my campsite, and a small airplane land nearby.
I'm new to your channel and I been enjoying your vids. The places you go to are breathtaking. I hope to travel like that too someday-I think I'll be in a van though lol 🦋
The alvord is so amazing!! I’m sure you’re already aware, but there are at least 3 hotsprings you can soak in out in that area. Also, tons of wild horses hanging out in the steens mountains ⛰️

Rosa I've been watching your videos for a while, and I love them! You're such an inspiration to me. I started my solo road trip a few weeks ago and have had some trouble sleeping at night.. I get really paranoid and feel like I'm going to get hurt. I've slept in my car a good number of times over the past year and a half, but it was always in my hometown. Now I'm in very remote places and it makes me feel unsafe. Does it get easier? Is it just something I'll get used to? Thank you for all that you do :)
to not waste all that egg white, it will all cook into a ball, no wispies, if u make a water tornado by spinning the boiling water, then drop the egg into the cyclone and it will spin it while it cooks and keeps the wispies from wisping. lol

You're right, I did not appreciate Eastern Oregon enough, but Alvord Desert looks interesting. Never heard of it. I want a smooth ride. Again, thanks for showing us unique places! I just found your channel today. I started my car camping journey in June. Left Kansas for Oregon. It wasn’t planned, at least not this soon. I was forced into the situation and it’s been fun. I’m taking a break right now until I get money to go back to Portland. In the meantime, I am revisiting my trial period. This summer has been fun and I really look forward to doing this full time. To find you’ve been on this solo camping over 5 years had me scratching my head. Like the previous commenter….couldn’t possibly started at 13 that’s not even the legal age to drive 😂. I learned more about you with each video & also nosy me wonder about your nationality too which was answered within another video. I showed my daughter your channel and asked her to guess your age. She thought the same thing i did that you’re 18. I totally forgot the saying of “Asians don’t raisin”. What age we appeared physically, add 10 years to get an exact estimate right? Btw I did subscribe and have been enjoying your solo camping hitting all the famous locations through all kinds of weather. You’re totally awesome with “The great outdoor” experiences. I love all your cooking as well and especially with no meat is the way to go….Im not a vegan but I can go without meat especially red meat I’m cutting out health wise.

Almost like the Bonneville salt flats here in Utah. A giant salt flat you can drive on goes for at least 15 miles in each direction.

I usually don't! Depends on how hot it is, but I don't feel safe sleeping with my window open. I have a carbon monoxide detector just in case 😊

To find you’ve been on this solo camping over 5 years had me scratching my head. Like the previous commenter….couldn’t possibly started at 13 that’s not even the legal age to drive 😂. I learned more about you with each video & also nosy me wonder about your nationality too which was answered within another video. I showed my daughter your channel and asked her to guess your age. She thought the same thing i did that you’re 18. I totally forgot the saying of “Asians don’t raisin”. What age we appeared physically, add 10 years to get an exact estimate right? Btw I did subscribe and have been enjoying your solo camping hitting all the famous locations through all kinds of weather. You’re totally awesome with “The great outdoor” experiences. I love all your cooking as well and especially with no meat is the way to go….Im not a vegan but I can go without meat especially red meat I’m cutting out health wise.
