Extra Joker just makes me wish for a card knight deck, where it would turbo out arcana knight joker and their field spell would allow you to discard any card to get the negate effect, they could have a card called "shuffle" or something that would allow you to swap one card knight for another, and they could have a big boss monster that requires you to banish arcana knight joker, king, queen, and Jack from your hand, field, or graveyard and it would be called something like "Royal Straight Arcana Knight" or "Arcana Flush Knight", I just think if they expanded on those cards they could be REALLY cool
Using 3 Agave Dragons helps you activate the Wyrm supporting effects. I use 3 of them in a Dragon Deck, when the first one is destroyed and I bring the second one to the field, I have 1 Wyrm in my Graveyard AND Dragons. Same thing when I bring the third one. I also use it in my for-fun Dinosaur Deck. I use Uraby, Two-Headed King Rex, Crawling Dragon #2, Hyper Hammerhead etc in a Deck just because I am a Dinosaur nerd, so since this card seems to dwell on "Wasteland", I added it.
Agave Dragon could useful in a Dinosaur deck, considering Ultimate Conductor Tyranno Struggles very powerful Link Monsters with 3600 ATK or More, so using Agave would be a good counter against said monsters, if the amount of Dinos in you're graveyard are enough to give Agave Dragon the ATK nessarary to take them on one on one. It also helps if use 2 Reprodocus (which required 2 monsters to Link summon it) as added ATK point bonuses.
That Nephthys one is supposed to actually go with Nephthys decks. They've got a Level 2 and a Level 8 Ritual monster that are summoned with the same Ritual Spell and can bring themselves back easily, especially the Level 2. They also REALLY like cards with Nephthys in their name and they have a bunch of weak Level 2 monsters the Link monster is clearly supposed to protect.
Linkerbell fascinates me with its design, given that LANphorynchus came out almost 2 full years prior. It reminds me of all the Level 4 monsters with over 2000 Atk that have some kind of restriction to them-but even those monsters are given some extra effect nowadays to make them worth using.
I think Linkerbell is supposed to be a pendulum support card, as pendulum cards on the field go to the extra deck when they leave, increasing the number in your extra deck when they do
I love Nephtys in my Megaliths. It's really nice to end on because most of them don't have protection, or I want to push for game with this and Phaleg boosting it.
I was playing Agave in my dragonmaid deck, then I remembered, apollusa has better arrows for bringing out elpy and pisty, and 2-4 extra negates is better than dealing less than 1000 effect damage.
Honestly, Duel Link Dragon should have been here. It's that Crimson Dragon retrain that banishes useful synchros for a token that can only be used as a beatstick. It's beyond salvation.
10: no real complaints, 9: I think this is probably understated, its main value is protecting the other nephthys monsters from battle, simply by laddering into it from protector. the other bonus effects can come up as the game progresses, since avatar can revive itself every turn and you wouldn't mind ritual summoning her again. 8: Yep, there just isn't a deck that want's to throw away link monsters in such a manner. 7: Ehh, like 100 per dragon isn't a bad deal though. cowboy was a very popular extra deck monster and it only did 800 damage, if you consider how many dragon monsters can end up in the graveyard in a single turn, its easy for agave to be just as big a finisher. 6: yep, I wouldn't call it bad exactly, but nothing really synergizes to make it good. 5: Awww, targeting protection, decent body out the gate, double floating, I'd still say this is a case of a good monster that doesn't have a deck it belongs to. 4: WHAT Special summoning from the hand during the battle phase is AMAZING, you get to attack with the summoned monster right away and don't have to worry about it getting disrupted as you enter the battle phase. at the end of the day, this card is an incredibly generic link 2 which can eat a removal. 3: yep, he's pretty awful. he might have seen a little more use if there were better options to ladder him into, but rokket, the deck he asthetically matches, can't easily use him for the borrel dragons. 2: no complaints, imagine getting powercrept by a vanilla, 1: Yikes this card is worse then I remember, I think it actually saw some use early on for extra linking because that specific angle is very rare, but now update jammer and knightmare cerberus fill the roll much better, Overall, I don't really agree with this list, recovery sorceress, binary blader, backup-point guard, progleo, duel link dragon the duel dragon, flash charge dragon, It seems like there are so many more link monsters that would be harder to find a use for then the ones listed here.
Just a few comments: 1: Nephthys could be used in a Cyber Angel deck as well. People think only about Nekroz when it comes to Ritual Summon decks, but Cyber Angel deckS can be pretty strong too and could easily summon Nephthys 2: King's Knight is not a Normal Monster 3: Battle Phase IS a good phase to special summon from the hand, if you have a good monster (such as a level 8, 3000 ATK monster). However, indeed decks that focus too much on Link Summon hardly will have such monster in hand
I use the Nephthys sacred flame link monster in my Megalith. The entire archetype is almost designed to get as many ritual monsters on the board as possible. I can reliably pull it off with my starting hand about 60-70% of the time, and if not, i can almost always do it next turn, even after a board wipe. It works really well, but it relies on the ritual mechanic, so prone to bricks. Still fun AF
I'd argue that Backup supervisor is pretty decent. Nowadays there's a lot of monsters that are generic link 2s, but before backup was a great option to link off and make borrelsword savage.
I actually run nephys in my machine angel extra deck. It's a situational gimmick play but since that deck has a decent amount of graveyard recursion it's not too bad either.
I'd argue against Vorticular Dragon being on the list. I play a lot this card and it's really good, atleast to me. - Hibernation Dragon + Noctovision Dragon + Return of Dragon Lord = Summon Vorticular Dragon = Allow you draw 2 cards. - You can use Darkness Metal Dragon for Special Summon it from the graveyard and draw 1, also you have a Link-3 on the field (useful as material for Topologic Zeroboros, Borrelsword or Rokket).
I mean to be fair, Agave Dragon has seen play in a couple of otk decks for its burn damage by setting off infinite loops using Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon, so it has that. Albeit only it's a bit harder with Summon Sorceress being banned, but since Geonator Transverser and Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons exist, it is still possible. Also what about top 10 cards to combo with Mystical Refpanel?
Decode Talker Heatsoul is basically a better Vorticular Drumgon in every way -Points down with two arrows -Draws a card as a quick effect at a cost of 1K LP so you can still chain it to whatever may remove it, also has no downsides to it except maybe paying Life Points (also has extra effect if you have ≥2K lp) -Still a link 3 but requires just 2 plus cyberse with different attributes, with is pretty easy in a dedicated deck With a this in mind, it's up to you to decide whether Drumgon is easier or harder to summon in its dedicated deck and what monster (between these two) has the better link arrows (Heatsoul has Decode Talker arrows so in the main zones it doesn't point anywhere while Drumgon could potentially help you extra link)
Btw, king's knight isn't a normal monster, it's an effect monster.Arcana Extra Joker was meant to set up King's Knight so you can summon Jack's Knight. Queen's Knight and Jack's Knight are normal monsters but King's Knight is an effect monster.
Agave Dragon COULD be good in a Dragon deck, simply bc a lot of Dragons like to be in the grave, but does anyone know of any better cards with similar effects?
Based on its name and design, I'm like 95% sure Link Bumper has such a specific Effect because it's intentionally designed to be Anti-Link Support, rather than being an Anime-First Card they "forgot" to balance.
I question Double Byte Dragon being on the list. All that needs to happen to make it better is to have a Judgment Dragon and nuke the field. The Double Byte Dragon should still remain because it's unaffected by Judgment Dragon's eff. Though, your point about link monsters makes sense.
@@nodeberiaestaraqui93 Seriously? I thought that a lot of Lovecraft's monsters had names that are ridiculous because they are barely pronouncable, not because the name is actually too stupid to be taken serious. Freaking "Tindangle"...
1: Linkerbell is also useful in pendulum decks, which gives it an edge up over Link Bumper, which, you called it, was used in the anime for a specific combo. Especially since it hilariously has 100 more ATK than Link Bumper, which makes it even more useful. Link Bumper was used for its effect once, then used to Link Climb in its only other appearance. I'm pretty sure Jar of Greed was used more often than Link Bumper. 2: Still waiting on that Top 10 Revival Cards (Best or Worst. I honestly just want to see a list talking about revival cards).
In my Megalith deck, I don't know how many times Link3 Nephthys has saved me after an interrupted combo or as my boss monster after I could comeback. TY indeed, Nephthys, you've been the opposite of useless or even a bad link monster to me.
Some of those link monser are just "bad" because there some of the first, like: Doublebyte dragon Linker bell(it took a really long time to come to the TCG) Link bumper
Agave Dragon will actually be very useful in the upcoming “Transcendrake” deck! That archetype is gonna be very interesting since it can very much use all four Types!
Isn't Bellcat Fighter supposed to be a Mecha-Phantom Beast monster? Its type, attribute, materials and token spawning effect obviously allude to that. Maybe they just to put it in the name. @@dustinvance243 Yes, but on that set, you already had better things like Decode Talker, so it was useless right off the bat.
About Clara & Rushka, is a pretty decent Link 1 monster for decks that go 2nd or after using Evenly Matched. While Link Bubper not only requires specific materials and has really bad arrows, but also has an almost useless effect.
@@gsdarkus5014 top and left aren't bad arrows. In fact they're a requirement for extra linking! And the materials aren't bad either because you were likely only playing it in a cyberse deck anyway. It was actually a pretty decent target for transcode talker to revive when we got that, and at least you can summon bumper without eating your normal summon because special summoning is cyberse's specialty. The only thing Clara and Rushka has going for it is Sangan and witch dump and Sangan can be used to summon salamangreat almiraj since it only has 1000 attack. There is no reason to ever run Clara and Rushka.
@@dustinvance243There's even less reasons to think about using Link Bumper for extra link instead of the much better Knightmares.
@@gsdarkus5014 yeah well knightmares are frickin broken and currently have 2 of their cards banned. And anyway knightmares are for competitive players that have developed experience with the game. Link bumper is a card from a starter deck that is meant to be an introduction for new players. It's a good card for beginners. Not everything has to revolve around meta. This is why yugioh has a new player problem. because meta players force everyone to play their way or not at all. It's stupid. I shouldn't have to play exactly like my opponent just to be able to play the frickin game!
AGAVE Dragon?! Oh boy...
Lmaoooo it never ends
what is it with ygo players and pronouncing slightly non-english words wrong
@@the_breezyp what about “arc type” and “archeh fiend” and “tryo” lol he screws up English words too
@@kefkapalazzo1 The worst messed up one is "Spacian" in any Neos-related video he does. He always says "spay-see-an", but it's supposed to be "spay-shan".
I'm sad, because I unironically hard ran Agave Dragon in my Blue eyes deck, because I don't have a lot of extra deck monsters.
surprised that Clara & Rushka, the Ventriloduo didn't make the list
She used to be useful for dumping Sangan and Witch of the Black Forest back in Master Rule 4
Sangan and witch dump. She also had a niche use with mind control effects against true draco and especially against masterpeace
@@nodeberiaestaraqui93 so, it's not really useful
I like their artwork
Poor Tindangles multiple cards make us think they would make another Tindangle link but we never got another one.
> calls agave Dragon bad
*laughs in using it in beelze ftk*
I have to assume you mean the ftk that can be done with literally any effect damage?
@@TheDuelLogs yeah but agave Dragon is probably the best target to start it since it’s a extra deck monster and you are guaranteed to have a dragon in your Gy
> calls agave dragon "a-GAVE"
Agave dragon is one of those links that you will somehow find in the obscure combos for me while the obscure carda are necessary for said combos i won't consider them good cause of said obscure relevancy but i would'nt consider them top 10 worst links
@@hiimemily I was looking for someone else who noticed that.
Finally :D I've been asking for this video for a while, it's refreshing to see you talk about cards we haven't seen before on this channel.
Perhaps lists about the best/worst continuous spell and trap cards would be fun
I've been waiting for this video for a long time as while I don't play Yu-Gi-Oh anymore I love hearing about the rules and combos made.
Now can we get best link monster video as everyone on YT is outdated to as link spider and linkuriboh are cute.
It's just dragun of red-eyes and rainbow neos first turn and hand traps .
I can understand why you stopped.
@@emperorhadrian6011 honestly it got expensive as well and I stopped after xyz as honestly synchro is my favorite type and show.
If I did play honestly link would probably be my second favorite as it's blue and I love how they work overall as even the ealry link are cool monsters to see combo play.
@@ivanbluecool
I kept playing up until it became whoever had a hand trap first turn would win.
Up until that point it was possible to play cheaper rogue decks.
Early link was fun though, if only it worked like master rule five did.
@@emperorhadrian6011 guess after 5ds and zexal more hand traps came into play as yusie was kinda the original graveyard and hand trap user with how many cards he had back righr after fusion.
Yeah I feel my deck wouldn't be able to keep up as a mix of xyz synchro but I did play duel link a few months ago and got pretty high in ranking as my deck was fair enough for the old format.
If I could buy the original link deck I would. It has those cool old link monsters but I don't play with anyone anymore
@@ivanbluecool
Do you have/have you tried EDOpro?
It lets you set a room and what ban list and rule set for that room and for deck building you have access to all cards including all anime cards, it's how I've been playing for the past year and a half.
Syncro and xyz era is pretty popular on there you should check it out.
I think a good double top 10 would be “Top 10 Cards banned in the OCG that don’t see play in the TCG” and vice versa
DRAGOON TrollDespair
How about "worst summon from hand, deck, or graveyard effect". Pretty hard to find but definitely interesting
Link bumper was an anime card. It was only used to link climb.
I just finished watching your "worst of "playlist and you post this. This made my day
God I wish you’d do MTG as well. Your format & quality is better than anyone in that community
Maybe Blade will quit Yugioh eventually and become a full MTG channel.
Extra Joker just makes me wish for a card knight deck, where it would turbo out arcana knight joker and their field spell would allow you to discard any card to get the negate effect, they could have a card called "shuffle" or something that would allow you to swap one card knight for another, and they could have a big boss monster that requires you to banish arcana knight joker, king, queen, and Jack from your hand, field, or graveyard and it would be called something like "Royal Straight Arcana Knight" or "Arcana Flush Knight", I just think if they expanded on those cards they could be REALLY cool
fun fact, I built a deck that ended up beating my opponent with linkerbell, and popped off so hard afterwards.
I love how fast your intros are, the list started before i even realised it
Using 3 Agave Dragons helps you activate the Wyrm supporting effects.
For Doublebyte, wouldn't you be able to use two Link-6s or does Arrival prevent you from summoning a second one?
correct, can only control 1
@@TheDuelLogs Okay, I haven't actually taken a look at it or what is does
Another downside to Vorticular Drumgon is the fact that just one extra material gets you a Saryuja with all of its effects.
You missed the legendary dual link dragon on this list.
I always forget Tindangles aren’t anime exclusives lmao
But Armatos Legio is...
Linkerbell fascinates me with its design, given that LANphorynchus came out almost 2 full years prior. It reminds me of all the Level 4 monsters with over 2000 Atk that have some kind of restriction to them-but even those monsters are given some extra effect nowadays to make them worth using.
I think Linkerbell is supposed to be a pendulum support card, as pendulum cards on the field go to the extra deck when they leave, increasing the number in your extra deck when they do
It was supposed to be released 2 years earlier than it did, given it came out AFTER I:P and LAN in the TCG. The OCG is where it got powercrept.
Correction on Arcana Knight Joker, it uses 2 normal monsters, but King's Knight is an effect Monster which exists to make the fusion easier.
Yooooo I love the tindangles. Turn 2 Cerberus with gorgonnes end and their continuous spell is kinda a beast set up.
The only one I knew of was Agave Dragon because it’s popped up as a finisher in a few gimmicky FTK decks
Hey you could do a 10 worst list of a really good effect just to show how good that effect really is, love the vids
Top 10 Mr. Logs' video that mentions Raidraptor - Ultimate Falcon
Link bumper was just used for link climbing in the anime, barely for its effect if I remember correctly
2 times. It counter gouki but it is horrible trash
...the hell is a Tindangle? I thought you were making that name up for a second.
Neat list video! Thanks for uploading!
Arcana Extra Joker is used in the Arcana Knight/Face Card Knight deck and it works amazing in it
I cannot tell if I got this video idea bc I commented it but no one pays attention to my comments unless they are cool but great video as always
10: no real complaints,
9: I think this is probably understated, its main value is protecting the other nephthys monsters from battle, simply by laddering into it from protector. the other bonus effects can come up as the game progresses, since avatar can revive itself every turn and you wouldn't mind ritual summoning her again.
2: no complaints, imagine getting powercrept by a vanilla,
1: Yikes this card is worse then I remember, I think it actually saw some use early on for extra linking because that specific angle is very rare, but now update jammer and knightmare cerberus fill the roll much better,
Overall, I don't really agree with this list, recovery sorceress, binary blader, backup-point guard, progleo, duel link dragon the duel dragon, flash charge dragon, It seems like there are so many more link monsters that would be harder to find a use for then the ones listed here.
Just a few comments:
1: Nephthys could be used in a Cyber Angel deck as well. People think only about Nekroz when it comes to Ritual Summon decks, but Cyber Angel deckS can be pretty strong too and could easily summon Nephthys
2: King's Knight is not a Normal Monster
3: Battle Phase IS a good phase to special summon from the hand, if you have a good monster (such as a level 8, 3000 ATK monster). However, indeed decks that focus too much on Link Summon hardly will have such monster in hand
Link Bumper was literally just pack filler. I have like 4 of them
I'd love to see a 10 BEST link monsters video
Top ten worst level 4 or lower monsters with 2000 or higher defence! I would love to see it
I use the Nephthys sacred flame link monster in my Megalith.
Should do a Top 10 worst Rush Duel cards list
I'd argue against Vorticular Dragon being on the list. I play a lot this card and it's really good, atleast to me.
- Hibernation Dragon + Noctovision Dragon + Return of Dragon Lord = Summon Vorticular Dragon = Allow you draw 2 cards.
- You can use Darkness Metal Dragon for Special Summon it from the graveyard and draw 1, also you have a Link-3 on the field (useful as material for Topologic Zeroboros, Borrelsword or Rokket).
One time playing tenyi, i won a tournament because agave dragon give me the duel for the time rule
The first google result for link bumper anime had the specific 2 episodes it's in (5+7) and each of those have a synopsis.
Decode Talker Heatsoul is basically a better Vorticular Drumgon in every way
-Points down with two arrows
-Draws a card as a quick effect at a cost of 1K LP so you can still chain it to whatever may remove it, also has no downsides to it except maybe paying Life Points (also has extra effect if you have ≥2K lp)
-Still a link 3 but requires just 2 plus cyberse with different attributes, with is pretty easy in a dedicated deck
With a this in mind, it's up to you to decide whether Drumgon is easier or harder to summon in its dedicated deck and what monster (between these two) has the better link arrows (Heatsoul has Decode Talker arrows so in the main zones it doesn't point anywhere while Drumgon could potentially help you extra link)
You're right about Link Bumper. It's an anime card they turned into an actual card.
I didn't even know about tindangle cards until I saw them in a box in Duel Links
I realized the only 3 cards I knew about before this video were linkerbell, back up supervisor and link bumper
Btw, king's knight isn't a normal monster, it's an effect monster.Arcana Extra Joker was meant to set up King's Knight so you can summon Jack's Knight. Queen's Knight and Jack's Knight are normal monsters but King's Knight is an effect monster.
I misread Arcana Extra Joker's effect and put it in my deck for a few weeks until I realized I was never using it...
Clara & Rushka, The Ventriloduo
Agave Dragon COULD be good in a Dragon deck, simply bc a lot of Dragons like to be in the grave, but does anyone know of any better cards with similar effects?
Based on its name and design, I'm like 95% sure Link Bumper has such a specific Effect because it's intentionally designed to be Anti-Link Support, rather than being an Anime-First Card they "forgot" to balance.
Agave dragon was part of an ftk when summon sorceress was legal
Feel like an updated version of this vid could be cool to see sometime.
Top Ten worst link monsters
Number 10 tindangle acute Cerberus
Nice accomplishment Akira zaizen
I question Double Byte Dragon being on the list. All that needs to happen to make it better is to have a Judgment Dragon and nuke the field. The Double Byte Dragon should still remain because it's unaffected by Judgment Dragon's eff. Though, your point about link monsters makes sense.
Imagine being this super intimidating demon spawn only to be named "Tindangle"
You know the name comes from the H.P. Lovecraft's mythos, right?
Nyarko-chan kawaii😍😍😍
@@nodeberiaestaraqui93 Seriously? I thought that a lot of Lovecraft's monsters had names that are ridiculous because they are barely pronouncable, not because the name is actually too stupid to be taken serious. Freaking "Tindangle"...
@@r4nd0mguy99 its a portmanteau of "Tindalos" and "Angle."
double byte dragon is one card away from becoming broken. A card, that absorbs the attack points of monsters used for it's whatever type of summon
What about Clara & Rushka, the Ventriloduo?
In my Megalith deck, I don't know how many times Link3 Nephthys has saved me after an interrupted combo or as my boss monster after I could comeback. TY indeed, Nephthys, you've been the opposite of useless or even a bad link monster to me.
Some of those link monser are just "bad" because there some of the first, like:
Doublebyte dragon
Linker bell(it took a really long time to come to the TCG)
Link bumper
Agave Dragon will actually be very useful in the upcoming “Transcendrake” deck! That archetype is gonna be very interesting since it can very much use all four Types!
Hi! excuse my ignorance, but what's so good about two downward pointing diagonal arrows?
i am pretty sure duel link dragon is worse than link bumper. link bumper is at least easy to summon given how many cyberse monsters are.
Isn't Bellcat Fighter supposed to be a Mecha-Phantom Beast monster? Its type, attribute, materials and token spawning effect obviously allude to that. Maybe they just to put it in the name. Though, if that was the case, it would be a shame that such a terrible link monster was in the same archetype as Auroradon.
