I actuly really like the Watchers Paladin. I know people think it's features are too specific, but really only of the of the channel divinity options and the 20th level feature you won't see in 99% of games rely on fighting certain creature types. And the aura in particular is amazing especially if you have spellcasters in your party. And I just love the flavor of the subclass.
Yeah I'll be talking about it in a couple weeks but I mean it gets Moonbeam and Counterspell so thats pretty lit and better Turn Undead since you get more options. Watchers Will is also quite effective at helping your allies make those crucial suck or save saving throws. No more Banishment or Polymorph getting in your way lol. I guess you'll find out what I think about it in a couple of weeks! Also I love the profile picture. I haven't seen that picture in a long time
@@DapperSnapperGaming Yep I just mentioned it because you said you don't think it's anyone's favorite, but for me at least it honestly is. And yeah, big fan of the Inheritance Cycle, I read them all when I was a kid and they've been my favorite books back then.
Everyone is entitled to their favorite! And yeah I read them when I was younger too and loved them. I still have copies on my shelf but I haven't picked them up in forever
How coincidental that I just came to learn how to play with that exact character! I never see build videos with warforged so thank you this is very helpful to me =)
Very flavorful build, thank you 👍 What I'd personally cut out is Defensive Duelist. While I like the feat in general, it's just too weak on a caster with access to Shield. Especially at higher levels where most monsters have Multiattack since it only helps against one attack.
This is fair. The reason I liked it is that it helps save spell slots for smites rather than Shields in certain situations where you don't have to worry about multiple attacks. I'm with you though. War Caster also works well in that situation and then you can use whatever weapon you want really
I think it's helpful. It's a cost effective way to have access to the shield spell. If you have this and protection against good and evil on, you're probably very hard to punch into the ground by a good deal of monsters
Hey Dapper snapper, have you considered making "all × party" builds talking about how you would make a party of PCs that are only using that class. Like all paladin party, all cleric party, as it might an interesting way of highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of class/subclasses (poor all monk party😢) and could serve af a nice overview of all of the subclasses that you've reviewed. 😊
That is an interesting idea. I am working on ideas for what to do after I get through all the subclasses if One D&D hasn't dropped yet. I'll keep this in mind
I don't see why not. It will be really MAD though as youll need a 13 in STR and CHA and then you'll want your INT to be decent for the Eldritch Knight spells. Eldritch Knight does give some interesting defensive options that don't rely on your INT being a certain number so it could work for sure. Thanks so much

oooh weeee!, DO you think there's a build possible for a paladin and eldritch knight fighter multiclass?
Also sick vid!
