- The saloon is a body shape that is massively overlooked in the modern automotive landscape, with the abundance of SUV's they have almost been forgotten about. But not here at Rybrook, we have such a vast variety of brilliant Saloons to choose from we thought we would bring together 3 of our favourites for the first ever Rybrook Saloon Showcase.
It also gave us a great opportunity to get all 3 of our presenters together for the first time, join Emily, Jack and Matt as they take you round the Bentley Flying Spur V8, BMW 7 Series & Volvo S90.

The Bentley is garish, the BMW is dependable, but the Volvo is the car of today with a superb interior, better price and better economics

Give the Volvo a 5 cylinder engine and some physical buttons for the a/c, volume controls and I’m NEVER getting any other car.
The Volvo has a 4-cylinder engine.
@@benjaminsmith2287 they really need a 5 cylinder. If RR and Bentley are feasting with 12 cylinders I don’t see the fuss to shy away from a 5 cylinder masterpiece.
@@hastensavoir7782 They're going all EV. I agree. I loved their inline 5s and 6s but they went all turbo 4s years ago. Confusing they call the engines T5 and T6 but they're 4s. Now they use B5 and B6.

Hi Peter, thank you very much for your kind words, we are glad you enjoyed the video.
Volvo is the best looking and gives most for the money. If you buy the American stretched version you will also get automatic sunscreens for the 3 rear windows and remote control of the panoramic sunroof. In addition there are 4 different driving modes, plus heaps of stuff that was not presented during this video. And finally: the maintenance cost will also be the lovest of all three.
Team Rybrook TV. Oh did you all have some fun? All three would not be out of place around W1 London, as in Bond St. What you didn't mention was the jaw-dropping depreciation of all of these cars. And is there really a future for such cars with the advance of 'Luxury' SUV's like the X7? As for making a decision, i will take an XC40 or a 1 Series and use the change to put a deposit on a property. Nonetheless really enjoyed the video. Excellent as always. Stay safe Team.

I thought the rich don't part with their money easily, so how do they stomach the depreciation? (even on hire it's just as bad)

S90 is not even full size
@@anw3997 you’re correct on that. The S90 is considered a mid-sized sedan. Much bigger than the average mid sized sedan and it’s a very beautiful vehicle but I believe it’s an unfair advantage to put that vehicle against two other full sized sedans that are very luxurious especially against the Bentley flying spur.

Saloons aren’t overlooked, like m5’s and e63s. Chauffeur cars are, for obvious reasons.
Love Bentley but like bmw no seat can compare against bentley in any way but bmw comes close in terms of size

We think so, yes. When it comes to value for money, and level of specification, the Volvo is a seriously tantalising prospect. We couldn't cover everything off in the video, but pound per spec the Volvo is a hard car to match.

Bentley is classy, the BMW is ridiculous, the Volvo is just right.
No way is that Volvo more economical then the bmw.
Check prices for service and spare parts. Beamers and Mercs have rediculous prices for this compared to Volvo. In addition, the dealerships where I live (Norway) are seriously better for Volvo than for the Germans. I drove Mercedes S-class for 12 years, and after having brought Volvo S90 plug in hybrid I realised that I had wasted a lot of time and money on Mercedes.
