I hope so too. I'm curious about the v60. I've heard it will follow the same design language as the v90 :)

they are renewing all the cars and something was also told about a xc40 but it might just replace v40 cc
Volvo has nailed their design language recently. Would buy this over any of the German marques. First time i've ever said that. We done Volvo, well done!

I think they could immediately improve that by dropping the badge letters to the middle panel, so the line of the upper part of the lights would angle toward the name in the center.

It looks copied from Audi with some volvo traditional vertical bits added on top.
The design of the front of the car is some of the best looking things i have seen on a saloon in a while. Same can't be said for the rear I'm afraid :/
Personally, I give a 9/10 to the V90's rear and a 5/10 to the S90's.

For me, the rear view of the S90 looks the best of any car in its segment. The V90 and XC90 also look great from that angle. Not sure about the Thor hammer LED running lights, though.

You know how I can tell this was well shot and generally extremely well made in all areas? At 6:28 when it fades to black I was expecting ( no joke) to hear applause, a camera panning in on Jeremy Clarkson saying "Well! That's volvo blah blah blah blah".

Well Volvo is rumoured to release a successor to the P1800. Its supposed to have a electric engine and a petrol engine with over 500hp combined.

Fantastic review!! At first I was in absolute awe because of the design but later on I started to see a blend of a mondeo, xj, a4, superb, xe/xf. Not that's a bad thing. The interior on the other hand is incredible!! The integration of the headrests is beautiful.

The designer of the Volvos comes from my hometown in germany :D And I think that besides the rear the new Volvos look awesome!
This is one of the few cars that look even more impressive in real life than on screen. It really grabs your attention.
Estate cars are usually ugly but Volvo have had the designs nailed on for decades now, their estates are beautiful.

Its funniest thing ive ver heard lol mercedes just doesnt know how to make nice wagons. cls sb looks like funeral cars, e class and c class alwalys the sedan is much more beautiful. Only one germans that make nice wagons are audi vw and opel. Bmw 3 series is nice too

volvo always had small engines i remember the 90s they got only 2.3 2.4 2.0 engine but with as much power as a 90s bmw series 7, i remember volvo 850 with 250hp and a 2.4 turbocharged engine

my gosh all of the 90 series of Volvo is breathtakingly handsome. Forget about the germans, this is the new king of executive suv, saloon, and estate...at least for the look

Am I right in thinking that the V90 is an Estate version of the S90?
i saw one in person and it really stands out
Being designed for the US market it does give me cause for concern. I believe it exceeds 2m in width and you'll find many lanes in the UK are limited to "access only" for vehicles of that size.
So happy a minivan is not my only option for a former coupe owner dreading something bulky and ugly. Such a beautiful car!

The V90 should be very welcome in the US, as it will be one of only two full-size wagons available, along with the E-class. We haven't had the A6 avant or 5-series sportwagon for years, and have yet to see a Jag estate. Ditto no Mazda 6 or Fusion (Mondeo), both highly rated where they are sold. Perhaps the ubiquity of SUVs on North American highways will mean these larger wagons will be appreciated again, for their novelty as well as practicality and handling. And many of them are simply better looking to my eyes than their sister sedans.

They had the same kind of leaf springs on the first s90 and i have it too in my 1996 cadillac deville which also has active suspension. And yes thos Advanced leaf springs nakes the ride very comfy. Looking forward to try the new. S90 but not gonna buy one cuz i love my cadillac and first gen s90 and the caddy has much power without any turbos and decent fuel economy with 0.7l 10km and a vibratiom free v8 is just smoother

I like your videos, but just a tip. Even though you are based in the UK you should try and test drive more petrol cars as in other parts of the world the petrol models are more readily available and more often bought.

HI MAT - ARE 18 INCH RIMS ON THE S90 INSCRIPTION A MORE COMFORTABLE RIDE THAN THE 19 OR 20 INCH RIMS - WHERE IT IS SAIS THAT 19 AND 20 INCH RIMS ARE A HARD RIDE BECAUSE THEREIS LESS RUBBER OR SIDEWALL

Sad it won't come with a 6 cylinder. But I suppose since it's smaller than the XC90, it might not suffer the same downsides with a 4 cylinder.
