This is brutal thrash if there ever was a type of sub genre. This is the ultimate destructive album from 1992. Basically thrash was dead by this time so DH ended it with a masterpiece. Vinny Dazes drumming was absolutely top notch. R.I.P. to the legend.

brutal thrash does exist, it’s also called death thrash, in fact albums like Pleasure to Kill, Morbid Tales, Morbid Visions, Beneath the Remains, Altars of Madness, Fear of Tomorrow, Persecution Mania, Obsessed by Cruelty and Hell Awaits/Reign in Blood were some of the first and biggest influences for brutal thrash and death metal in general

First off, Im 2 years younger than this record, but I still remember when I heard Epidemic of Violence for the first time around 2010-2012. my music taste has gone from deep purple to Iron Maiden to Metallica to Slayer to finally Hate Eternal and Dying Fetus. After that I softened up a bit and can enjoy all kinds of metal and softer music styles. When I listened to this song for the first time - my immidiate thought was "Is Dave Lombardo even able to play this?". That leg stamina is not human.
To this day - I still find this is the heaviest song i have ever heard, no matter what Cannibal Corpse try to create.

Also loved this doube time hi hat on the very fast skank beat... it seems (and feels when i try ti play) impossible to reach that speed , and to double the hi hat like that at this tempo. When you play it it seems so effortless though! (I„m talking about the beat that starts at 1:45).
@@kazarmageddon Yeah, I see. You know what? We don't double the hi hat there, it sounds and looks kinda doubled but it isn't. It is just a "random" speed spread out on the bar. That's how we get that effect. I talk about that on another video, but unfortunately for you it is only in portuguese. I'm trying to get the subtitles to work but no success.
