Can I use my Continental 245/40/R18 tires on a 18x9.5 rim setup? Worried about it being too much of a stretch… or should I stick with 18x8.5 with 245’s? And if I stuck with 245s and 18x8.5 what offset would be better than stock? Thanks!

Wheels look great. Was color or style your reason for choosing these? My only complaint with the AV06 is their overall weight; I wish they were a pound or two lighter. I guess I can look at a 8.5" or 9" wide version to save some weight.
I just got 18x9.5 AVO6 and am saying that they are a bit too wide and slow the car down a bit, I think I'm going to sell mine and buy new 8.5's and hope that helps, lmk if anyone else has any input
good to know. changed my mind and I am going with the 18x9.5 et42 Crucial by Mach V Motorsports (aka Fastwrx)...I'd love to go 18x9.5 et45, but any of those wheels are several hundred more per wheel and in the end, we're only talking 3mm. good luck with your next set

Will 18x10.5 be to wide on the front ? Ho them fit on the rear ?
Hey man I really like the fitment and I want to get these in black, is there anyway you can drop links for the wheels and the extra hardware you bought (tuner lugs, etc)
Did you need spacers to clear the brembos with these rims?

Wheels look amazing. The finish on the wheels is lack luster tho. Should have powder coated them. 😈

have you noticed your car being a little slower on acceleration? I have the same wheels and size and have noticed it. Thinking of dropping to 8.5 to try and help with that
It’s due to offset not being large enough. Subarus oem wheels are +58 I believe, and that’s the offset you wanna stay around
@@jacobclem8774 you need less offset if you are moving up to a 9.5” wide wheel.
Do you have a link to the hub rings?
...you don't need a link. Search for 73.1mm (hub diameter your aftermarket wheel is) to 56.1mm hubrings. Choose plastic or metal and what fits your budget. Simple as that.
What’s your tire size? they look thicker and are you on coil overs ?
Tires in the last clip are 245/40r18. Still sitting at stock ride height, since they are wider wheels with a deep offset they do a much better job filling the wheel well and close that gap a bit

Thanks! I'm not 100% sure, there is more than enough clearance for the wrx but i can't speak for the STI
It hits the caliper . U can shave off a bit to get it to clear . That’s what I’m doing now
It's been a year now since this was uploaded. Did you ever have any rubbing issues with this setup? I'm looking at doing the same thing, but 9.5 offset worries me.
No rubbing issues to speak of, everything is holding up great!

If u have sti with brembos they rub on caliper
@@Box_channel great point, this setup is just stock WRX limited brakes, I can't speak for STI brembos
Offset isn’t 9.5 That’s the width.

I think so, they offer significantly more clearance than the stock wheels
How are they holding up?
They have been holding up great so far! No issues with paint chips and they are super easy to clean

Im planning to get a set i have 2015 wrx with sti wing also rally blue but lowered it with teins flex coilovers im afraid it will rub with this rims/tires size?
@@gerald2935underwear yeah you could probably get away with lowering it an inch but because of the offset and width you would likely need to roll the fenders

No, I live in Wisconsin so I have winter tires on my stock wheels and I swap them out
