Dennis Quaid’s career trajectory has been something to behold. Major movie star, now faith movies and my friend said Dennis was playing terrible country music songs in a small club in his city and was touring with it well.

I was going to watch this movie and then I stopped, an thought , I will watch fish jelly’s review first. Glad, I listened to my self. My question is how the hell did they remove a dead pilot , I watch a documentary on a dead pilot and they had serious issues removing the body.

As someone who isn't religious at all, it will forever baffle me how seemingly impossible it is for people to make an actual compelling faith based film. These movies don't make people rethink their existence, it just makes them laugh at it.

Yes They kind of lost me when they said he had no flying experience. In reality he had about 120 hours. I have flown both 172's and King air 200's they are faster slicker and more complicated but rudder and yoke controls are the same as are many of the other instruments. Doug White actually owned this plane but was not qualified to fly it. I do have to think he may have spent a little time in the right seat before this. The other thing I don't get is the two kids following the story. What was the purpose of that made up side story? Did the have to add time to the movie since the real incident only took about 30 minutes (in clear weather BTW) The approaching storm was also fictitious. Actually so was the peanut reaction part. I guess we can chalk it up to artistic license. This is not meant to take away any of the importance of all the participants in the actual event. Everyone did incredibly. BTW Doug greased the landing as we say. He put that king air down like a pro. (not the way it was portrayed in the film. Sorry I just watched this last night and I'm still a little pissed at it ;-)

I watched this movie last night. I wish I had watched this review first. It would’ve saved me an hour and 40 minutes of wasted time. I stuck with it because I kept thinking it was gonna get better when it got to the plane part. It didn’t.
I just watched this film and, like you guys, was astonished just how bad it is. It's like a poorly made TV movie from the 1970s.

This film just boggles my mind.. It's like a Hallmark movie without the fun Christmas setting while also being literally preachy with the religious aspect...honestly Hallmark would have made it a much better film at a good hour twenty. By the way, I loved "I can only imagine". There is a way to make faith-based films enjoyable.
My favorite part is where Dennis Quaid finds out his brother died and he looks around all curious for a bit then says with his trademark disgruntled look "we gotta go back to Naples". HAHAHA, am I watching a comedy here?!!
The black-washing of real life character is disgusting to me. White-washing/black-washing..it's just so wrong (happening often with HISTORICAL characters now), and to see them show you so blatantly in the credits is almost hysterical because it just goes to show you how much they didn't care about telling the story accurately. From what I've seen on the news, they're trying to get black people more involved in aviation, well then they should have made the little girl black!
I swear that if this movie were made in 1999 it would have been great. They just can't aren't capable of making these films anymore..

Omg!! They botched this film so bad. I know the real story heard the atc transcript and also a pilot. I’ve even flown the King Air 200 in the simulator. Everything in this film looks so fake.
This movie is going to be my new onsession. Its soo bad, its the new sharknado. Just laughable, what a tribute to some of the real heroes by changing their skin colour for zero reason. Theyve managed to turn a good strory into absolute garbage. So bad its actually a great watch
