Crap you have to put up with in real life because you have no choice is sometimes 10x more annoying when viewing on screen for entertainment so Joseph's point is totally understandable.
YES!! I agree that Dwayne is very likable! He was the reason I started watching wrestling! But his movies as a whole are "Well...that happened." I had the same feeling about this movie but will watch it eventually. The music choices sound like they just pressed "shuffle" and walked away 😄 Pierce Brosnan stays looking fly so no shock there. Appreciate you reviewing this anti-superhero flick!
You are right, Joseph! Dwayne Johnson aka "The Rock" was called "The People's Champion" AND he had gotten permission to call himself that from his favorite athlete, Muhammad Ali, who was nicknamed that when he was a pro boxer.

The mistake DC keeps making over and over is throwing new superheroes at us that we know nothing about. Pierce Brosnan and the hawk guy were never established so that whole thing about their friendship and the sacrifice doesn’t have the same impact it would have had if we’d seen their origin stories and watched them tackle bad guys together before this movie. I hate how DC wants us to care about characters but refuse to take the effort to help us get to know them!
I have been binging the back catalog of your videos. You guys are very insightful and have a welcoming demeanor but sometimes with the influx of these superhero movies your comments totally are too funny and I want to thank you for at least trying to make the onslaught of these movies. The thundercat comment was priceless to a person who has read enough comic book in life to almost be ashamed.

I agree with you, Dwayne Johnson is definitely very likeable but it's so hard wanting to see his movies because they usually are dreck. Really wish he would choose movies that are more worthy of his screen presence. The backstory of Black Adam actually sounded interesting...like if Joseph went ballistic after Jesus was killed...but everything else you mentioned just sounds like a big clusterfuck afterwards. 😅 Anyway, thanks for the entertaining and informative review as usual, gentlemen! Great review guys, you really went in on the details on the story, people were actually leaving before the Superman credit 😂, I enjoyed the action but the kid and the moms acting are horrendous I agree with you guys, I just wanted to see Henry at the end, Pierce brought credibility acting wise, and the villain was weak. Thank you for the in depth review!

Love them or hate them I feel like superhero films have become like the Greek myths of our time. Even ancient civilizations enjoyed stories about immortals with super powers.
I liked it. It was fun (and I’ve LOVED Aldis Hodge ever since Leverage. I was so happy to see him).

00:47 - LOL! Was that deer-caught-in-the-headlights look upon hearing about Paris Hilton in 'House of Wax' intentional? It made me laugh out loud. And when I rewound and replayed, I laughed even harder. Joseph, you're a PILL! You guys are fast becoming my go-to videos for a guaranteed chuckle. I must know, is Nick bothered in the least by your antics with the eyes or does he just ignore it? He's playing oblivious to them which makes it all the funnier. It's like a modern day version of the Archie/ Edith dynamic. (And I mean that in the best way possible.)

it's a brainless film, but I'm seeing it because of JSA first time in film
It has a great lead…it always the same with fighting something big at end…. but it has a guy destined for this type of larger than life hero… a lot of that physique is real.

4:36 well it is a cave and it does turn out to be a proson so I do think time might be a factor there,, there are entire cities buerried under the dessert in egypt, the avurage dept of the sands is something like 180metric i think
The reason why you keep saying ISIS is because she gong to be the superhero Isis and black Adam is going to share his power with Osiris.
I thought it was OK…I thought Brosnan and Johnson were very good when they were on screen…. But everything else had already been done on other films. The Superman thing at the end was very interesting.

Agreed agreed agreed the worst part was the mother , it was a poor casting and then they spend so much time on her, and I didn't care or like them; but overall the movie was great I loved it . I needed more Black Adam scenes.

I actually really enjoyed the movie but I do agree the action scenes where pop songs were used were a little cringy. Especially the Kanye song, even though the song choice was fitting.
I like Dwayne Johnson as a person but boy is he a shitty actor. I hope that he skips some gym days and goes to acting school with the same commitment he has to his body. I will wait to see Black Adam on my big screen, ha.

Unfortunately, unobtainium (yuck) is actually a real thing. It is a science term for some that is hard come by. Aluminum was once considered unobtainium.
I think they were referring to it being the mineral/element that's from the plot of the Avatar movie.

I enjoyed this movie. I didn't mind the problems and I liked the intensity of the action, but Black Adam could have spoken a different language and him going through walls could be more of a problem in the movie.

I honestly really liked the movie, The jokes landed for me. Idk why they had atom smasher be a new kid instead of his cooler uncle, but that’s alright the comedy was well mixed especially compared to other superhero movies.
I was pretty upset when they killed fate and I honestly thought that when hawkman grabbed the mask that he was gonna wear it and become like a cool dr fate and hawkman at the same time.
I’m excited for what’s next because there’s a lot they set up. So adam will fight superman, and the JSA should get their own movies.
Yep! I didn't like this movie, other than first fight scene and the post credit, everything else just wasnt good, and the villian was terrible. Yep about the crown, are you telling me it was just floating like that for many many years and no one found it until that lady did 😂

I didn't think this film was as bad as some critics make it out to be. They make it seem like its SHOWGIRLS bad, and that movie wasn't bad.
Me neither. I think, with the supposed exclusion of Zack Snyder and his supposed "doom and gloom" vibe (I think it's practical when you're dealing with superheroes in a post-Sept. 11 world), they were expecting another typical MCU-like jokefest. Frankly, with the hero's son being killed 5000 years ago, what's there to joke about? Sure there's humor in the film, but it's subtle and it doesn't outlive its welcome.
