It is healthy when you lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. This will happen with strength training or muscle strengthening exercises. As you do strength training, you will gain muscles which will automatically result in fat loss. When you keep on doing cardio without any strength training, you will lose muscle and fat together. It is always ideal to do 2 days of cardio workout and 4 days of strength training in a week.
Ma'am, when compared to other areas of the body, belly fat has a lot of fat stored in that region. So, reduction in that area will be slow but will surely happen when you consistently follow a strict diet and exercise.
I had an Open Heart Surgery for AVR in 2007....So I am banned from doing any strength training that involves isometric pressure. Any suggestions on any other weight training for people like me ?
