    In a few minutes you explain that which the hopeless instruction manual fails to do in many pages of meaningless woffle. Brilliant presentation and content.

    Thank you that was so useful. I've just bought the Smart one - only reason I can think to use it Smart is if you have loaded it, all ready to go and forgot to press the on switch and now you are in bed, can't be bothered to get up so use your mobile to switch it on. So I don't think anyone is missing out using the SGS model! One tip - they gave me a replacement machine because there was a problem with the water and it wouldn't work; however I found elsewhere it was a drainage problem - not evident that my sink was not functioning as it should but I put soda crystals down the plughole followed by three buckets of water swooshed down and lo and behold no problems with my new dishwasher.

    Thanks for informing about difference between SMS2ITW08G and SGS2ITW08G. Was beating my head around why would a later model have the connectivity feature removed. Very helpful!

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It was a component availability issue. The SMS models used to be around, then finished and SGS models introduced, then the SMS have come back on board as the availability of the home connect components are better now.

    Very informative; I really appreciate you pointing out the negatives because so many appliances are sold on the positives but you soon find out that perhaps the appliance isn't the most suitable one. Expensive mistake!

    Really helpful video. We've just had this model installed in place of our old John Lewis/LEG model, and we were flummoxed, it's so different. We were even having problems opening the door. We quite agree with you about it being a nuisance not having a time remaining indicator, especially since this machine takes so much longer than our old one. I wish I'd seen this video before we bought it, because we'd probably have thought twice. Only criticism is, the video is so tucked away in TH-cam - enter "Bosch Dishwashers" and you don't get anything useful. We agree with others that the Bosch manual is pretty well useless, and makes things seem even more complicated than they are.

    Honesty beside the turbidity sensor this model is very modest.Reminds me of the cheap models from a decade ago.
    And about the detergent,you won't really notice a great performance difference between _big brand_ vs _store brand._
    Didn't really get the "quality salt" part lol

    Bought this model - it's brill. On the 65 min wash (+ extra dry time) I don't need a timer. In and out in about an hour - what could be simpler? The wash/rinse/dry indicator is more than adequate for showing the approximate time.

    Turned out the problem with my dishwasher was that my water softener was leaking resin into the water system and affecting the pressure of water to the dishwasher. Sadly a new water softener is now being bought since my existing one is too old to repair. I've disconnected the existing water softener and now the dishwasher works with no problems!

    Hello, I've just received this Bosch dishwasher today, it seems great and has good reviews. I'm not sure how I know that the cycle has finished though. It's showing up red on the eco cycle that I chose, and red under the drying sign. Will these lights go out when it's finished the wash? I've been waiting to open it, but I'm not sure if it's already ended the wash, and stays like this. Thanks.

I have a question about setting the programme, we normally use the express programme which suits our needs, but how do you cancel if you accidentally picked intense setting rather than the express. Have tried switching off to change but it comes back on on intense setting.

      Sounds like the program needs resetting or have you interrupted the program after it started? Try to press the On/Off button and hold down for 4 seconds. Hopefully this should reset it for you then you can start again.

    I have just today, replaced my 9 yr old Bosch dishwasher for this model.
    My immediate impression is that this is very flimsy in comparison, even the cabinet .
    The old model controls were straight forward and simple for anyone to understand, without having to refer to a rubbish booklet,.
    This is unnecessarily far too complicated, particularly to set up.
    Even the racks are less robust than previous models and the high level cup rack is no longer. Everything is cheap and nasty plastic.
    Having filled the salt and rinse aid dispensers, read and re-read the instructions, I am still at a loss as to how I am supposed to set up the salt levels and rinse aid levels.(our water is very hard).
    The instruction book jumps about all over the place and is probably one of the worst I have come across, very confusing.
    My mistake was in replacing like for like and buying this on the internet, without physically checking the machine out.
    This is a lesson to me, just because they used to be good machines, is no guarantee that they still are.
    The electronics seem so fussy and flimsy, that I worry it won't last long, certainly not 9 yrs!
    I think an extended warranty may turn out to be an expensive but essential added extra.
    Learn by my mistake, don't buy it.

    We bought a SGS21TW08G. We've just tried to run the first use/wash - the ECO50 light comes on but the button doesn't allow us to move forward to the other programmes.available. So the machine is chugging away for the next 4 hours. I like the simplicity of your demo. Hopefully there is a simple solution. I'd be grateful for any help you can offer or suggest. Thank you.

    On my hotpoint dishwasher there’s auto programs please can you tell me what it means when it says it is auto?
    Does it vary the temp , time and spray pressure?

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What Auto programs will normally do is to send a certain amount of water through at the start of the program, and depending how dirty the water, it will fluctuate the temperature of the wash and duration as well.

    Good video, is there a specific basket you’d use for half load? Some dishwasher recommend the top one, also the electric cable could do with being a bit longer, any suggestions of how to get a longer lead?

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There isn't really a recommendation for which basket to use.
      I haven't seen a longer mains lead but you may need to use a short extension lead. Don't cut the plug off the old lead and if you have to use a longer extension lead make sure it is fused
