Great review Jake. I'm on my second Bosch dishwasher. The first one performed brilliantly for over 20 years. I use the all in one pods, plus the rinse/drying agent and have no problems with dishes being perfectly clean and dry (except plastic containers, water always seems to pool in the ridges, which is to be expected)
I'm like you Jake, I wouldn't go without a dishwasher because I a: can't stand washing dishes by hand and b: literally can't stand at the sink for any length of time due to severe arthritis in my hips.
I still find it odd that you keep your fridge and dishwasher in the garage, but it seems to work for you, so that's great.

I ordered this Dishwasher after watching your video. Thanks! It's replacing our 25 year old Bosch that finally packed in. We decided to stick with the brand

Well spotted on making sure the upper rack clicks in at the back. I’ve had that issue with my Bosch dishwasher many times.

if you use speed perfect option it reduces the time of the wash. Steam at the end is used for drying the units. leave unit closed for about an hour or so

Brilliant stuff. This washer has been in my top 10 white goods for a while but this in-depth review pushes it into the top 5. Witty, factual and riveting with a sense of balance and immediacy rarely found in reviews of washers on other channels.
    Bravo.

good job your on low energy prices they use a ton of electric, especially as i'd class that dishwasher as empty my one is stuffed every time😁😁

You need to contact bosch about the cracks on the top of the dishwasher because tbe crack should not occur.

Does the plant on top not drive you crazy every time you try closing the washer door

I’ve never seen a dishwasher where you have to add salt. Mine has been destroyed with hard water deposits so I guess that’s what it is to avoid. Interesting video for sure.

Sadly I can’t agree on thier reliability. I once had a neff by Bosch dishwasher and broke four years later. Now have had a Hotpoint dishwasher for five years and still works and not even once has it went wrong. All in all Bosch dishwashers are extremely unreliable in my opinion and that’s that . Four years from a Bosch made dishwasher is unacceptable especially when a Hotpoint has outlived the Bosch made Neff.

I got a 10 year old Bosch. It looks identical inside. My eco cycle is 30mins

I'd certainly look at eco mode if you are not in a hurry, they do actually use a lot less water and electricity than normal modes, also quick/express modes use an absolute shit ton of extra water and electricity.

Thanks! I've started using this mode now. Probably good to do an express clean once in a while, but the eco mode is definitely cheaper.

My previous dishwasher, a Whirlpool, lasted 19 years.
I bought this Bosch Serie 2 but the wi-fi connectivity is utter shite. It just doesn't work.
    It did but not now.

How do you get rid of the wifi symbol and use the machine normally. I much preferred my previous machine. Can't tell if salt is set correctly.

    Looking for a new brand....

2hrs to wash a few pots what a waste of money ,300 odd on a washer ,buying salt and tablets and all the water it wastes ,a few minutes in front of a sink saves you so much money .

You couldn’t be much more wrong. A dishwasher saves you money in the long run, provided it’s used correctly i.e. when full.

    • @alexandermajor6467
      @alexandermajor6467 ปีที่แล้ว

@@headred76 show me the stats - everything i've seen just looks at the energy cost to heat the water and doesn't include the cost of the machine itself - quite an expense when they're around £300-£1000 when my sink is free and can be used for multiple purposes
