    Thanks for making this video. I just got this exact model delivered a hour ago, and as you pointed out, the installation instructions are rubbish and confusing - hence me seeking out this video. I also did not get a salt funnel, but unlike other comments, my instruction don't seem to refer to one.

      Thanks Bob 👍
      You could use any funnel if the tube has a large enough diameter but it's easy enough to pour salt straight from the box or bag anyway.

    I have literally just installed mine as our old one needed to be replaced. To be honest, I only searched YT to see if I was missing a salt filler funnel but although the instructions show one, we did not get one with the machine, I have to assume this is normal. Thanks for sharing the video.... 👍

    Ho handy video , we ha e exactly the same dishwasher. And found that on the first few washes and bit of a hot plastic smell, just wondering if you had the same. Hopefully the smell will go in time.

    Did you need to remove any transit bolts etc?

      No, I'm sure I didn't. I would have shown them in the video if there were transit bolts.

    Very good! We got exactly the same washing machine. Not sure why the instruction shows a water filter but in the UK, we didn't get any water filter on the inlet. Any comments on this will be appreciated?

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the feedback 👍 I didn't get a water filter either. I assume it's because mains water in the UK doesn't need one.

      Yes the picture of a water filter threw me too.

    I have bought this dishwasher but there was no previous dishwasher installed so I am trying to work out what I need to connect it - all I have with it is the water supply pipe which needs to be connect to the copper pipe, there is a flexible hose attached to the lower pip further down so assuming I can put in a t-piece of some kind? And then what fittings would be needed to attach to the dishwasher supply pipe? Also under the sink the waste pine has no appliance outlet so need to replace this, which is fine but what drain hose would I need?

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This link gives a very good explanation of the plumbing alterations you need to make before you install a dishwasher. www.homebase.co.uk/ideas-advice/kitchen-and-bathroom/kitchen-fitting/install-a-dishwasher-or-washing-machine/
      Every house is different but this shows you how you can T off the cold water supply and how you can connect the drain. If you are unsure of exactly what you need, I would take a photo and measurements of your current plumbing down to a local plumbing supplies specialist and they should be able to advise you and supply everything you need.

    Hi,I've just received the same dishwasher today,and I was wondering if you know what that strip is used for,the one you took out of the dishwasher, I've looked at different videos and don't know if it's a spare or whatever 🤔, also do you have to connect your dishwasher to the Internet or can you just e8n it as normal without the need for that app,thanks in advance..

    • @karenfarr4026
      @karenfarr4026 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Karen, The plastic strip is only needed if you have to take the top of the machine off to get it under your worktop. You can then use it to fill in the gap. Most people won't need it. It's the same with the app. If you want to start your dishwasher remotely then you might want to use the app. I fill mine up and turn it on using the start button 🙂

      @Big Ted's Home & Garden thankyou for getting back to me about the questions I asked,so just to clarify you can use the dishwasher as normal without having to install the app,I would only be using the dishwasher when I'm at home..its not an actual requirement to download the app..?

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Karen Farr Hi Karen. I did download the app but apart from checking that it had connected to the dishwasher, I have never actually used it. I'm pretty sure that you don't have to download the app and can just use the machine on manual.

    we just installed it and it leaves water at the bottom after every cycle.. there si no drain blockage and obviously filter is clear as it was for the first cycle

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Check that the drain hose is not kinked when you push the dishwasher into place.
      A glass or two of water left in the machine is not unusual but if there is more, I would contact Bosch for advice. If the dishwasher is new, it will be under warranty. Good luck!

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Michael, I believe that the grey plastic strip attachs to the top of the dishwasher to form a seal if you have to remove the top of the dishwasher to fit it under the worktop.

    Hi! I received two of those white strips with my machine... Where do they go? Thanks!

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The white strip I think you are referring to is used to seal between the dishwasher and the worktop. You only need to use it if you are removing the top of the dishwasher. Most people don't do this unless they have to.

    Does it matter if you don’t remove the drain hose bracket from the back?

    • @bigtedshome
      @bigtedshome  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really, the worst I can think of is that it might rattle a bit while the machine is running but it's not going to harm anything.

      Is it grey and about 4 inches in diameter? If it is, then it is the salt container lid. The salt container is inside the machine, on the bottom towards the front left as you look into the dishwasher.
