His generation had great talent, poets, musicians, civil rights leaders and pioneers who paved the way for so many African Americans.I loved him in Claudine. His deep baritone was thunderous. Any movie he played in he embodied.
Thank you. G.O.A.T. Wish I could have been here for the live. It seems all my artistic heroes are passing. God bless and give rest to his soul. Good to see Professor Charles Woods and you.❤
Black First 333 I'm just saying thank you for this evening true powerful video commentary is indeed in my opinion truth be told the truth and food for thought. Yes again thank you for this historical/history facts. Always, always with the true.
James Earl Jones was the personification of great artistry. Every character he made us deeply understand. The tired and dejected Joe in East Side East Side's 'Who Do You Kill?' Roops, love project in Claudine and his embodiment of the late Alex Haley in Roots, The Saga of an American Family, we believed every single character JEJ played. R.I.E.P King
Wonderful, Deep and full bodied voice of a great actor, cast in a myriad of roles showcasing his talents and versatility on the silver screen, as opposed to the typical stereotypical roles typecasted during his career.
Big up Mike for shooting our a true great. When I saw him, I knew a Black actor COULD stand toe to toe with DeNiro. God Father 2 vs Great White Hope. "Aaaawww Man, I ain't got them REALLYS."
Brothers, yes our Great has transitioned 09/09/2024. However, we celebrate, scream, holla' and praise his name right now!!! He completed his journey as he was to and for us. All majesty to King James Earl Jones!!!!!
In my opinion, James Earl Jones' sense of humor was deep and expansive, and resonated in his voice even with his voice's authoritative & commanding quality. Even Woods had to leave us with a guffaw at your expense, Mike D! 😉But we all know you are both classy men - much love and respect to you both! Thanks for all the info shared! I plan to see Claudine, The Man, and Great White Hope, and I will have to revisit the Coming to America movies. I think I might have seen that Sesame Street alphabet when it aired - it feels like it holds a place in my memory bank - 1969. I was born 1964.
His voice is so unique and iconic that it was cloned using AI. 🔉 "Jones was one of the first actors of his stature to actually work out a contract for how and when his AI voice clone could be used, even after he passed away." RIP James Earl Jones
My comment is in reference, of James Earl James, disdain for Black Women - I recently did some research into his biography, and learned , he was abandoned by both parents, first his father, from a very young age, and then when his mother remarried, she left him with his maternal grandparents - He called his mother, Aunt .He was born in Mississippi, but when his mother abandoned him, he later moved to Michigan with his grandparents, where he grew up - Also, he states is biography, his grandmother was one of the most racist person, he had ever known. ( She was Cherokee, Choctaw, and Black) - James Earl Jones, developed a very serious speech impairment, which left him, unable to speak,as well as to stutter - We often prejudge people, without, considering their past or circumstances, growing up etc - As a Black Woman, I too questioned , Why he never chose a Black Woman? I feel now , I can understand and fully relate to his choices - May Mr. James Earl Jones, Rest In Power, for a Job Well Done 💜🦁😀
Did he have a very brief cameo in a black and white war movie in the 1940s or 1950s? I can't find this credited anywhere. Could it have been before Dr. Strangelove?
Another giant of celluoid moviesgone, what a legacy you have left behind Thulsa Doom Conan The Barbarian Darth Vader the world has lost a genuine true talent god bless 🙏
