Running “Urn of Godfire” wouldn’t slow you down much. It can remove enchantments or creatures. “Haywire Mite” wouldn’t be crazy either, since you can technically make green with the stars. Thanks for the video! Keep em’ comin’ mate :)
Thanks for the suggestions! And I'm glad you liked the video! Yeah it may be necessary to pack just a little interaction and I like both of those you mentioned. A couple pieces would go a long way since there's DT, Inventor's Fair, and the fact that we draw/filter so well. The two strongest things against this deck are Leyline of Sanctity and Surgical Extraction and your suggestion might just be enough to cover Leyline.
Yeah when I fired it up again, I was really worried mostly because of Energy running Static Prison. Leyline Binding is another concern, but not as potent as Prison. I don't think it's the strongest deck, but it has a fighting chance in certain matchups and does blank any removal spells the opponent is running. Another strength is that it's really good at finding The One Ring, which can help win games that were slipping away.
you should cut 4 swamps in favor of Vault of Whispers, an artifact land you can imprint with Semblance Anvil. there are also Seat of the Synod, Darksteel Citadel and Treasure Vault, all helping with Anvil and Inventor's Fair
Thanks for commenting! I didn't know we had Vault of Whispers on Arena. Unfortunately, Semblance Anvil specifies Imprinting a nonland card, otherwise that would be sweet tech! However, they could still be worth it to strengthen Inventor's Fair like you mention. Which honestly, maybe should be more than a one-of.
Thanks! Yeah it plays a lot of unassuming cards to say the least lol. It's trending towards a budget deck except for all the rare wildcards you'd spend on Semblance Anvils and Cloud Keys which are otherwise not very useful in Timeless lol.
I asked to see more control gameplay and you delivered with the most grindy combo deck haha! Next time we get stax? :V Jokes aside, great vid keep it up!
Thanks! Yeah we need better stax pieces on Arena lol. Someone played a Chalice against me the other day and I was so hyped, I rarely see people playing it lol. I do have a couple of control-ly decks I'm working on. My problem is that I have too many archetypes I like haha. I'm always tinkering with stuff (auras, scam, midrange, combo, prison, tribal, control...). Would you believe that I have at least two other Eggs variants in my deck folders? lol
@@priorityholder Yeah, from what I can think on top of my head there is a lot missing for some competitive stax going on. Guess it is more likely to make a somewhat workable tax-tempo pile, but not even so sure about that. And yes, I can believe there are more Eggs for the future lol!
@@gobomania Yeah I've seen tax-tempo piles like you mentioned. I was once playing an all-noncreatures deck and got absolutely destroyed by Esper Sentinel, Thalia, and Thorn of Amethyst lol How about Smokestack and Tangle Wire on Arena? And is City of Traitors and Ancient Tomb asking for too much? Mishra's Workshop? lol
Thanks for the suggestions! Channel would be so nice. I wonder if how many Scry/Surveil lands would need to be cut to make it work? They can filter, but that'd be so slow. Chromatic Stars help out a little bit. I'm curious. Manifold Key would be really nice with The One Ring and provides a little extra value with Mystic Forge. Would be nice in the wishboard if one decided to adjust the deck and run KtGC. I'm not certain Paradox Engine would be at its best here (since we have no mana rocks). But maybe untapping Rings and Forges is enough? You've got me thinking lol
Good question! Unfortunately, Mystic Forge only allows casting Artifact spells, so we can't play any lands off it. But I've found the Scry/Surveil lands to be extremely effective in adjusting our top card. Especially in conjunction with all our other card draw/selection.
Thanks! Yeah land count is something I have been thinking about because once you get Mystic Forge in play, you really don't want to whiff. I'm not sure I'm bold enough to drop all the way down to 15, but maybe I should! I'll have to look into it, because with enough Chromatic Star/Spheres it might be possible since they are a mana-neutral way to keep drawing.
@@priorityholder you can play fountainport bell to act as a land in the eraly game and act as an artifact when you combo off You can also put sleeperdart instead of supply to have a better matchup against aggro
@@bastienbaivier3062 Thanks for the suggestions! Fountainport Bell is a good idea to help lower the land count a little bit. And I really like your Sleeper Dart idea, fogging a random creature for a turn might be exactly the kind of breathing room this deck needs to combo off. That might be more valuable than the second draw off Supply. You know your trinket-y artifacts lol!

Old deck, unfortunetly easily beatable in this format

@ oops, didn't realise the Anvil specifically calls for a nonland. that being said extra artifacts to enable Fair earlier are always nice
Great video! I lost to this deck the other day with lethal on board. Feels bad losing to a deck that's 99% commons. Lol

incredible deck. I love it
Thanks! I love it too! It really is fun to pilot and those stabilizing wins are such a rush lol
"we're kind of lantern control here" lolol, hilarious
Have to respect the great decks that came before lol. Though they should give us Lantern of Insight and Codex Shredder on Arena and let us cook haha

shouldn't we be able to avoid the land issue with mystic forge using the artifact lands ? Can only clear one per turn tho
