I enjoyed and appreciated your personal story and info. I'm 65 years old and my teeth are just now (hard for me to even believe) getting bad. I'm suffering bone loss and loss of some teeth.
I got dentures when I was 26 due to gum disease. Got tired of going to the dentist so decided on dentures. That was 46 years ago. I got immediate dentures that lasted 20 years and only relined once in Thailand. Few years later had a new set made here and some years later had a set made in Saudi Arabia. My latest set was made here in Thailand again and probably my last set.
I was considering 4 on 4 but my dentist told me the permanent denture will be temporary, made from acrylic and resin . Then I would have to upgrade to zirconia. Does this sound about right ✅️. I canceled the surgery. It would cost another, $4000 to upgrade. And can you please tell me how long the acrylic resin denture will last.
I had all my teeth extracted at 45 years old and wait a month to get permanent dentures upper and lower dentures. Now 25 years later I still wear the same dentures problem free.
@@joetoscano3875 Once full extraction - 2 days later stitches all the gum close, another week removal the stitches then form the dentures in cement. 4 days later form the permanent dentures took another week. All together about a month.
I work in a busy coffee shop 40 hours a week it took me 4 months to get use to wearing my permanent dentures. Getting my teeth reconstructed has helped me gain so much confidence and faith within myself.
Thanks for your info! just had my uppers pulled a week ago, the immediate dentures pinch and food taste is nearly non exisistant. Will I gradually get taste back due to the acrylic pallet? In May the will complete the bottom.
I highly recommend getting immediate dentures. Obviously for cosmetic reasons but also for health reasons. First, you don't realize how much of an adjustment it is to look at yourself with no teeth, talking with no teeth you can't prounounce words correctly etc. With these put in right away you can walk around and talk and not worry about your smile or what people think, plus it takes a while for your gums to heal and walking around with no teeth you're going to want your dentures within a couple months and it's not a good idea because they will never fit right if you get them so early, it takes about 6 to 12 months for your gums to fully heal. You want to wait at least 3-6 months before getting your permanent dentures, with temporary dentures you have a set of teeth so you don't mind waiting the extra few months..as far as healing they actually help with "healing" in the sense that they almost act as a bandaid so i was immediately able to drink out of a straw etc without the blood clots getting loose. If you don't smoke they reduce your chances for a dry socket by a lot. I will say that cosmetically it's the best route to go.. it really is an adjustment to getting used to looking at yourself with no teeth, in my case no top teeth, i was horrified, these help a lot.
Yeah I went ten months with no teeth and I’m young and now that I finally got my set I’m shocked and confused when looking at myself with teeth it feels alien now and I feel I look weird which is bizarre
Went thru same thing in April. All top gone and immediate dentures, it's been tough but I'd never have gone out in public without teeth, I'm finally getting used to them
I'm having the hardest time with my tops. The upper plate feels horrible, and I sound weird, too. I can't talk, swallow, or eat. How do people get used to that upper fake palate?
My wife is getting full dentures soon with Aspen Dental. The problem is one has no clue as to the details involved in getting dentures.Aspen Dental should buy your videos for patients to see and get and idea what is involved. We had to ask questions and were still unclear of the total picture.Your video is so helpful and well done.Your teeth look so great, thank you so much.
I totally agree!! I'm with Aspen Dental also and just had all of my bottom teeth pulled 3 days ago and now I have the immediate (temporary) dentures that I'll be wearing for about 6 months but yeah this video explained a hell of a lot more than Aspen Dental did or at least the video helped me understand it better
My main question is what in heaven's name do you eat with no teeth for a year? Besides broth? I have to make a decision ASAP, and would love an answer, thanks!
I just got my full extraction 2 days ago and spent the extra 1300 for immediates and they weren't able to put them in because I had extensive bleeding and swelling so they wouldnt even fit over my gums, and now they told me today it would be best if I just don't wear them, so basically the extra money I spent on them for absolutely no reason, but finally I realized to myself who cares about the aesthetic look even at work or in public, if someone wants to laugh or make jokes just because I am doing what I need to do in order to better my over all Health with no more tooth abscess or tooth infections and daily pain then oh well, 6-9 months without them will not matter once the process is over with and I am able to smile again without being in pain
I just wanted to reach out to tell you that I understand exactly what you're going through. I'll never forget how devastated I felt after getting all my teeth extracted. It sounds like maybe you were a little better prepared than I was. I absolutely depised my immediate dentures, but I was lucky that it was Covid and I could wear a mask. I admire your courage. You're not alone.
I understand you very well,I also had all my teeth extracted at 53,now I have 12 implants and have been toothless ,at first I was very concerned about people's reactions but now I dont worry about it .I know im doing whats right for myself...good luck
I am 54 I just had all my top teeth pulled out and they put the immediate “healing denture” I feel my mouth sanked and the dentures were too small, It changed the way my fave looks, I am so sad they said wait a week they can reline it and when the permanent dentures are ready ot would look a lot better. I am crying every time i look in the mirror 😢😢 is there anything they can do with this temporary denture??
thank u for ur vidz. I have immediate dentures right now. I know ppl w dentures, n do not recall them going thru what I am going thru (maybe they just nvr talked about it). These awful immediate dentures are so ugly, I can't smile - I cry alot. Your vidz give me HOPE for a time that I can smile again, and eat. I've learned that I'm probably not alone. I've learned I don't have to accept these killer immediates as they are - that I can go to the dentist for adjustments as this is what i paid for. Thanx again!
Just wanted to pop in and say that I’ve been watching your videos for years, trying to get my nerve up to get dentures. I had my consultation today, paid my deposit…And my dentist was very pleased with my level of knowledge and expectations. It’s a big credit to you and your videos! Thank you isn’t enough, but THANK YOU.
Hi Laura. I had all my teeth pulled a week ago. Like you it has taken me years to get up the nerve. This was a walk in park. I dont know what the fuss was about. I should of done it years ago. It is a bit of a mental shock but after a few days you will feel much better. Im not having temps. I wear a mask. thank you covid. Now I have accepted it , I can look forward to having lovely new teeth in 8 weeks. I have worn a covid mask for 2 years in public, its only another 8 weeks . This is something for you to look forward to. Don't be scared. Cheers.
Because of the provider's procrastination I should have been ready for my permanents by now. I initially went in with the intention of getting immediate. They (for reasons unknown to me) did not extract all and as a result I still have to get the immediate denture..had they taken them all out ,in the time since I would now have been ready for the permanents. Had it not been for covid compelling me to wear a mask,I don't know what I would have done. I've been without upper teeth for two months now. I would have been ready for my permanent denture by now. Regarding the temporary denture, I'm not going to finance their business by getting endless re-lines... gonna buy a home kit and take my ass somewhere else to get my permanents!
@@aaroncrosby2173thank you, I’m at a crossroads as had my first appointment and impressions for temp done yesterday. My insurance will pay for one set every five years and that would be the temp set and perm would be out of pocket….but as you said I could wear a mask as I did for two years anyway
Exactly I am due for my soft reline. I am buying the kit to do it at home. Is this wise decision on my part probably not. But if I don’t get it right the first time. I can take it out and try again. I definitely think you should go somewhere else. For your permanent dentures. You should feel confident that the dentist can do the job for you.
I just got my immediate dentures about 12 hours ago - hence why I found this video. I had rotten teeth, several missing and broken as well. My process was VERY simple. I went in for a consult, they took x-rays (the kind that just spins around your head - didn't have to bite on those plastic "pods"). They decided dentures was the way to go, so they took "impressions". Now, I've made impressions before - the mouth full of play-dough....eww. Not this time. The technician had what looked like an oversize electric tooth brush. She ran it around the inside and outside of my teeth, top and bottom. That was it. I was pretty amazed. Several days later, I was in the chair. Within an hour, all my teeth were gone, and they slid in my immediate dentures. Now, I was under the self understanding that I was going to receive my immediates, and drive STRAIGHT to the steakhouse. Boy was I wrong! Amazingly the top fits quite well. Besides having something "new" on the roof of my mouth (something my toung is INFATUATED with, btw). The bottoms - not so much. Loose is an understatement. I cant swallow without knocking them around. Obviously, I'm frustrated, so that's why I'm look at videos, like yours. Thanks for the positive input, and you've put a glimmer of hope in my glim outlook!
Year later. How's it going. I was in the same boat 11 months ago. Did the soft line help? I had so much completed bone spikes that I finally just got my permanent dentures. Lots of trips to have tweeks done on sore spots. Still love my immediate lowers with soft line more then these new ones
Bottoms are very difficult for most people if there's no support for them. There's not as much gum surface at the bottom. Some people get implants to help hold them.
I’m a new Denture wearer. I had all my Teeth removed in one shot . I received immediate dentures …. Man idk where to start. My experience at affordable Dentures is horrible.. I’m still in the process of getting my immediate dentures. I haven’t been able to wear my bottoms in the last month just the top. They said I no longer need to wear them plus I have bone spurs on my bottom gum .. they are just for the money now I have to pay over ten thousand for extractions and adjustments for teeth i can’t wear. Now they have to make me a new set which they can’t get right. So basically I’m gumming it trying to eat and it hurts so bad.😢 I’m so glad I came across your video to help me get a better understanding .
I felt this comment 😢 I have been trying to tell my dentist that I'm not satisfied bc I think mine look way to big and my kids say I look scary. The dentist will NOT redo my dentures bc I'm on TennCare
Got all my 16 Extractions done! I didn't feel a thing! Not even the needle. Boy, he was good. Now I wait 6 weeks for healing, then go for impressions & wait another 8 weeks for my Dentures. No immediate dentures for me. My Dad said when he got his & he tried to pull them out to rinse his gums was the worst pain he's ever felt. He compared it to Hemorrhoid Surgery! 😅
I was never told that I had a choice. They just pulled my teeth and gave me temporary dentures. It has not been a good experience. These temporary dentures change how I look. No one told be about a choice. Thank you for the information.b
I saw recently that some dentists don’t explain that you have A choice. They should because you should be given all the information. In order to make informed decision. Pretty crummy thing to do too you and other people. I am really sorry.
I am a denture/lab tech here in Colorado. You are such a breath of fresh air. It is definitely not and easy road to go down for any patient, but a must in many cases. Wish all patients understood this.
@@Os-Xp you can get dentures the same day as the extractions, but they would be considered "temporary". They are a good option for someone who does not want to go with out teeth. However There is always the possibility that they may not look the best or come together the best when biting. The bite can usually be adjusted. Basically its a matter of if you want teeth while you heal up. Or if you want to heal up first, and then make the dentures.
I waited for my permanents. Had my extractions when I was working from home during the Covid shut down. Plus I received a full bone graft and had stiches. Since mask wearing was required in public I had no issues when I had to go out. I found a variety of soft foods to eat. Within 3 months I had my permanents and they fit great. It's been a little over a year and they still fit great with no adhesive needed. My dentist even ordered the same canines you have from Ivoclar. You have been such an inspiration for me throughout this process. Thanks for sharing your journey.
I think I might wait like you did. I can wear a mask and nobody will know. It beats having to be frustrated from all the fittings with the immediate dentures!
I had extractions on upper jaw and because of shut down ended up having too wait for permanent dentures not by choice but it would have been painful too place dentures on still healing gums.
@@darealbullet how did you do since then? Did you gets your perms after that short time from extractions and temporaries? My dentist also wants me to get my perms after wearing the temporaries for only Two months!!!!!!!! No way!!!!! I’m waiting for gums to continue to shrink and also dealing with bone spurs………
My immediate dentures were terrible so I learned how to make my own with the proper materials and tools. I was successful after several tries but now everything fits and feels great after 4 years of practice. I even took some tooth brand advice from you. Thank you for your support and having a place where people can gain confidence about such an emotional, life changing experience.
HEY 👋, I'm trying to find the best diy denture kit I can buy. The impression putty trays the powder for the impression stone and the medallions of plastic and decent teeth h. You sound like u have been through a bunch of them what's the Best one company name?
doing immediate denture now, teeth were pulled 3 months ago, my adjustments are included in the cost I paid for these teeth. I am 75 years old, so this may be my only set come permanent ones. this was very helpful. thank you
My husband (23) just got his top teeth removed yesterday and he got immediate dentures. This was very helpful because I am doing some research to help him out. Thank you!
This is one of the wonderful gifts we get for a lifetime lived. I get my uppers tomorrow. It has only been a year and a month since I had my second hand arthritis surgery. Gotta love it!!
I'm getting both immediate and permanent dentures thru my plan. I love these informative videos. Only a week and a half out so still on soft food. Can't recommend enough about watching videos and leanining on those that have already gone thru the process. Thank you.
@@AnnieSmith-gmail I’m so confused with immediate and permanent? I guess my immediate will be my permanent, but now my last visit they used a wand inside my mouth to see all sides ( teeth, jaw, muscle, and bite alignment) But, they discovered I have a palatal torus, it’s a bony ridge on the roof of my mouth which will cause problems with suction. So, I can either have it removed or use a horseshoe style upper which will need implants. 😩 All I know is I’m having my extractions done on the 7th of July and I hope I’m doing the right thing. Because the implants are 500.00 bucks a pop, initially I was only going to have them on the bottom.
Hi there. Idek how your channel popped up in my feed, but dear god, I am so glad I found you. I literally just had this done the day before I saw your videos. I got the immediate dentures; as I have a job very much in the public and I just couldn’t be without. Literally 80% of my job is talking face to face with customers. Once I realized we could actually be neighbors, I was shocked you’re a local, lol. Truly, I am truly grateful to you for documenting your journey on TH-cam to kind of prepare me for what to expect. My dad even had a full set at 18, and I knew it was coming. Thank you for sharing your story and thank you again for your channel.
I’ve really appreciated your channel and I wanted to say thanks ! Watched before the big day and also since. 3 weeks out and I went with immediate. I’m 52 and dealt with 30 years of cracking teeth and exposed nerves. Had 21 left. All fronts. Those too started to crack in half. Went in to it after extensive research. Adjustments. Sores. Lines and relines all expected. Marathon not a sprint. Lol. Really appreciate what you’re doing and sharing with the world ! Thank you !
My husband just had all his upper teeth pulled & the immediate put in. I had so many questions about the process. You’ve answered so many questions. I feel better equipped to support him. Thank you for this amazing video!
Hi Kristie!!! I'm just post op of e-Day, yesterday!!! I just wanted to say thank you for ALL of your help, videos and talking about your story. I wouldn't have been able to do it without you!!! I love you like a family member ❤️ got my immediate dentures and I'm just so glad I've got thru the hard part. You're a true inspiration ❤️
You are a treasure to be sure! I mean...your life journey has been incredible, hasn't it?! It's probably crazy to think about it but all of your experiences with your teeth have shaped you and molded you into, what I would consider a guru. You are certainly a teacher and an advocate for so many of us who are struggling with our teeth issues in life. Cheers.
I recently started a job working for a prostheodontist with no experience and I have learned so much watching your videos. It's helping me understand the complete process even more.
I had a different experience than most in reference to extractions. So, I never had immediate dentures. My dentist extracted my teeth per quadrant. He made several impressions (3) after extracting my 4 quardrants. He keep my front teeth in until my dentures were completed. This worked for me because it help me adjust mentally. On my final extraction day, he removed my front teeth and I went home with my permanent dentures. It was a longer process but in retrospect, I don't know if I could have mentally handled extracting all my teeth and then attempting to adjust to dentures all at the same time. I am now beginning week 4 as a new denture wearer.
You must have an awesome dentist:) That is exactly how I felt.. Just couldn’t do it for almost a yr. Finally, I knew I just had to do it.. I kept on making an appt then canceling. I knew one more time of doing that my dentist wasn’t going to have it.. Like you I felt the same way.. But I didn’t even have 2 teeth to even keep like you.. I don’t even think he’d do that anyways.. That’s why I know you got a keeper for a dentist:) Someone who listens and understands.. Hard to find these days that’s for sure🙁 So good for you:)😊
This is the similar to the plan that my dentist gave me. I do for the first two quads on Thursday and next two on Friday. Then impressions at some point and then the rest. Immediates in after. Perms in 4 months though.I was nervous about this because I wasn't sure if it would be easier to get it all done at once. But now you have given me hope. Journeys are slightly different but hearings others stories makes me feel less alone
I am so happy for all of you's.Let me give you some insight on my personal experience. When I lived in pennsylvania I went to a low income based dentist She had told me.I needed root canals In crowns on my two front teeth , but given I could not afford that She told me.I could get my two front teeth pulled and The state would pay for a flipper. While she was pulling My two healthy big Front teeth she left one of the roots inside my mouth! Since the state did not cover the flipper I was forced to be toothless for a couple years until I could afford the six thousand dollars for my four part bridge. She had cemented my bridge on the teeth next to my 2 fronts. I knew something was wrong several years ago when I begin getting sick a lot. I couldn't afford health insurance let alone dental insurance. This bridge took place back in twenty fourteen. Two months ago I found out about the root tip Still being inside of me. Throughout all of these years my body has been fighting these infections and for the last 2 years I've been on antibiotics every other month. :( once my surgeon knew the gravity of my situation he removed the sides of my teeth on both sides. We let them heal for a few weeks. Then I went to get my impressions. My denturist stated that it was impossible to cram all the proper impressions in the timely manner my surgeon stated. My surgeon pulled my denturist to the side and explained and we did all the sets of impressions in that same day. The denturist told me it would take a few weeks bc this took place the Wednesday before Thanksgiving! The very next day I got a call from my surgeon. He reached out to a lab and he made it happen! They made my upper denture in 5 days. I was able to have Surgery the following Wednesday. The day before Thanksgiving! I am so grateful for my surgeon. He really saved my life! And I am so blessed he listened to me and didn't turn me away thinking I was some drug seeker since this has been an on going issue for 2 years now. I am blessed. And I'm very proud of everyone here in the comments. God is good to us all.. be thankful. He hears us praying. I'll be thinking of you all! Happy holidays!!! So happy for all of us. And so thankful we all had good experiences!! I pray others are as lucky!
I am happy to have found your channel. I had all my teeth extracted 2 and a half years ago. I have just recently went to see a denturist. I have two appointments left before I get my teeth. I’m super excited and will be watching more of your content. 😊
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for this video. I am in the process of reconciling that I need dentures. I am nervous, ashamed etc. Your video has helped IMMENSELY to understand the process.
Had all remaining top teeth + the 2 top wisdom teeth. Had this done 9 days ago. Woke up and had temporary dentures in. Was instructed not to remove for 24 hrs and additional 24 hrs but could remove for cleaning. It’s hard staying positive that things will get better. Can’t barely eat, somedays very depressing, like why did I do this, but didn’t have a choice. I was told permanent will be fitted in about 6 -8 months. These temporary suck, I hope it gets better. Unlike most I want functionality over looks.
I had 10 teeth extracted and 8 implants set in one procedure (4 upper, 4 lower). I had no teeth for two weeks until the swelling went down, then got my temporary dentures. After 5 months I got my permanent snapin dentures, which I am very happy with.
I got my "immediate" several days after having all of my upper teeth removed, 7 implants and bone grafts put in place. 4 implants on top for a full arch, 3 implants below for 3 individual teeth. I sincerely appreciated how they looked and that they made me look normal. It was 6 months before I got my permanent implant denture. While 6 months seemed like forever, it was worth it giving my gums time to heal and adjust and most importantly to allow my implants to go through proper osseointegration. Didn't have any real issues with either. My permanent implant denture has been a huge blessing to me.
@@daMillenialTrucker It was about 12K total and this mainly due to having the 3 implants in the bottom be individual crown supported implants. I used no insurance towards it either, tho if you can insurance will cover some of the cost of the crowns and the dental appliance. Friend is having all his teeth pulled right now with 4 implants on top and 2 or 3 on the bottom for 10K total. That's all inclusive. We both went to "Affordable Dentures and Implants". Implants will never replace real teeth, but this will be the next best thing and well worth it if you need it.
@@TheStevrod shoot! I’m pricing getting implants, and my teeth look like they will run anywhere between 15 k for removable implants, to upwards of $60k for permanent ones! I’m at the point where I’d forgo a whole lot of other stuff in my life tho, and financing a decent meal and my old smile back! And to live tooth pain and headache free!
@@kristentrep5038 Both have their pros and cons, but in the end I got the snapins because I'd much rather prefer to be able to take them out if I get a sesame seed or something stuck than not be able to with permanent ones. I'm sure that can be a rare thing tho. People say they don't want snapins because you have to go in for maintenance and replace your nylon rings, but this is about once every 18 months to 2 years. With permanent you have to go in yearly for maintenance. Also, truth be told, the cost between the two is rather big. Still, I love my snapins and wouldn't change a thing. Being tooth pain and headache free has been a whole new world. 😁
@@TheStevrod it’s certainly priceless! Thank you for the response! The coat difference is quite large, and I hadn’t thought of the sesame seed thing! It’s something to surely consider tho! Im excited to begin my journey!
Going in for my initial consultation in a few days. I haven't heard much about waiting for the permanent dentures. I like the sound of that a lot. The thought of shoving that big mess of plastic into a freshly sutured sore mouth frightens me . . . plus there's the potential $$ Savings of not messing with that initial set. I am retired and live alone . . . and sort of a hermit . . . so going without teeth while my mouth heals doesn't sound like too much of a negative.
I love your video, great explanation. I had my extraction yesterday and walked out with my temporary dentures. They call them “healing dentures.” They fit beautifully in my mouth but I don’t like the way they line up when coming together. I paid much more than you but any and all adjustments are free. I’m noticing when I close my mouth my left side hits way before my right. Your video made me feel better, thanks.
Thank you for a very well-informed video, just had my 17 teeth pulled 1-19-23 and kept four fangs since they were in great condition in order to have something to clamp and hold temp and perm dentures in place. temp crowns were placed on the four teeth i kept, until perm crowns are put in, temps kept falling off, top temp crowns looked and felt too big, went back to dentist twice to have temps glued back in, same day one fall out, so i pulled the others out with ease and decided i would just wait on the perm crowns to be put in, should have them in about week at this point, hoping they will stay in place and feel right, told that they will, gums healed rather fast, did have to make some adjustment on the temp dentures in the office and did some myself at home, they feel great, never got any sores at this point, fingers crossed, eating was a challenge from day one, but i adapted to my current eating situation with ease, still at this time, soft and well cut up foods is the key. currently, fried is off the plate, down the road later just started using polydent in small amount to aide in holding dentures in place since i can't use my fangs to aide holding dentures in place with wire attached to denture, in short i will say this, getting informed well before you get your teeth pulled and stay informed after is key. It has helped me understand what to expect, what to do, and keeps the stress down for me. Don't be afraid to tell your dentist how you feel and what you want, your mouth, not theirs.
Just got my immediate dentures today. Got alot of info from this video. Thank you now I know what to ask when I go back in couple weeks for first follow up.
I lost one tooth 8 years ago and ordered the snap on veneers which really messed up my teeth after awhile. So now I am in my second day of full top extracted with immediate denture. I happen to see a picture of you 11 years ago when you got yours and I swear my face is identical and have the same problem with way way way to much gum. Really hope in time I will make my way back to a beautiful smile like you have now..
I got my immediates the same day as my extractions. I was supposed to wait 6 to 12 months for my permanents but I kept putting it off due to having depression from the passing of my child. I waited 1 year and 8 months before finally going in to get my perms made. It's been 5 in a half years since then and they still fit great. I don't even need to use adhesives.
I’m so sorry for your loss first of all. I too have suffered the loss of a child. But I’m really excited about your denture journey. I have been putting it off for way too long because of fear. I just needed to hear a success story. I think I just found it. Thank you so much. 🌹🌹🌹
Just had my 3 month post op appointment yesterday. No sign of infection and the bone is fusing to the implants perfectly. The amount of infection in my jaw at the beginning he thought it may take my bone a little longer but he said it was doing exactly how anybody’s would. I am so thankful! I also found out that I have 12 total instead of 8. He only charged me for 8. I almost started crying. I am so excited for the permanent ones. As different and better these have been than my teeth, I can’t imagine how awesome the permanent set will be. 2 months I get to start picking stuff. I can’t wait. Wouldn’t have had the balls to ever call for the consult without you! Thank you! 💙💙
Wow, your dentist gave you 4 free implants, that's amazing ! Can I ask what type of perms are you getting on your implants, acrylic, zirconia, snap in or hybrids ?
@@ashmac_dear_dentures_implants I know they are zirconia, and they are fixed in place, not snap ins. Due to my jaw issue several dentist said that wasn’t really an option for me, I am not sure why. I am not sure what the ones you can’t take out are called. I have really bad anxiety with the dentist so I am usually medicated when I go, my husband listens to the info cause I don’t remember half of it. This past week I wasn’t because it was only a bone scan and having him check it. I am going to try not to next time either cause it’s when I start picking stuff out but also when they will remove these for the first time and do impressions. My fear of pain is usually a lot higher than the actual pain but I get so worked up. Lol I hate it.
@@susanwright1931 thank you for your response, and it sounds EXACTLY like what I'm doing lol, I have my extractions Feb 18 and implants that same day... Thank you for your videos. I just left the dentist and I had three teeth extracted, so easily. The dentist did not need to apply an injection, the teeth were so loose. It is not easy, but it is better without them. I will collect my half dentures this week. It makes me feel better watching your videos. Greetings from London. 🙏🏽
I bought myself a new truck as a retirement gift to myself little that I know months later I would be in a situation where I would need my teeth all pulled out they gave me temporaries and they can get the lower ones correct as hard as they tried now I'm waiting five months for them to make a new mold from my permanent dentures which I don't want since I've paid I'll have to get that. So I went to Novia in Arlington Heights, Illinois. They made me feel so comfortable explained everything to me so I'm trying to come up with the money to get permanent dentures done. I love that you share your story that's very brave of you congrats and they look good on ya, power to you.
I will be getting my few front top and bottom teeth extracted next month. I've had a denturist consultation and will not be going with immediate dentures; I want to wait until I'm fully healed and get a better fit with the permanents. Now, I haven't done this yet, so I may wish I had gone a different route after the fact, and will comment again later on.
I really would like to thank you for the videos, as I, like my father when he was my age, had to get dentures due to bad gums. These videos are providing me with a lot of info and support.
Thank you so much for your videos they have helped me so much. I'm in the process of getting dentures. 2 weeks ago I went to get my lower teeth removed and Yesterday I got my upper teeth removed . I'm in the process of healing right now. The scariest part is over for me, And tbh it was not that bad as I thought. I remember crying to my husband about how nervous and scared I was to get all of my teeth pulled and now I'm so glad I got to this point I'm looking forward to my brand new set of teeth. Any one going through this or thinking about dentures. I know it's scary but if I can do I know you can to!! God bless all and I just want to tell you thank you I've been watching your videos and they have helped me so much. Much love ❤️ to a better smile .
@@coleparker yes I am so excited for my new smile. Right now my gums are healing and healing fast 🙏 thank the Lord. I wish you the best throughout your process ☺️
I am definitely scared and pray my immediate denture will fit ok. I am having my top teeth extracted in two days! Thank you for your kind information. Pray for me!🙏❤️
I got my permanent dentures immediately. I am only 2 days out and my lower denture feels way loose. I have read that this is pretty normal as they are just floating and held in with gravity. Looks like I may need to get the mini's to help with it as it's already driving me crazy. Thank you for being you and being a voice for us!
My dentist wants to place my permanent dentures immediately too. I thought they always placed immediate ones after extractions and then the permanent. He said he doesn't do it that way. How is it working for you? Did they become loose after the swelling went down?
I'm going in next week to get 24 extractions and the immediate dentures. I have a high pain tolerance for everything except oral & heartache pain. Been binge watching these videos to make me feel so not alone.
I just had my full teeth extraction done last Thursday and they immediately put my temps in before I left. I loved it except my sutures were still bleeding so my dentures were a blood bath. It hasnt been a week yet and I have to go back tomorrow for an adjustment HOWEVER, I still love having them because it makes me feel like I have a full set of teeth compared to over half my teeth missing. You have a new subscriber than you for your helpful information.
yeah Brenda me too, i'm so grateful that my dentist talked me into getting temporary dentures, i thought that it would be a hindrance but it's not...and i was like you, i had a lot of teeth pulled before deciding to get the dentures, so i was missing some molars so i couldn't smile fully, with this temporary set i can actually smile and not feel self conscious. Plus i noticed that they acted almost like a bandaid, in the sense that i was able to drink out of a straw etc without affecting the blood clot and getting a dry socket....also now im not going to be looking for my permanent dentures so soon as my dentist said it's best to wait about 6 months...if anything i'd be willing to get a new set of temporary dentures and letting my gums heal to the best of their ability before getting my permanent ones.. i only had a top set so it was only $200 for my temporary dentures...the dentist gave them to me at lab cost because i don't have a lot of money and no dental insurance..but i want to make sure my dentures are going to fit right
i did the permanent dentures, it was rough because i went almost 4 months with no teeth. have tried different denture stuff to keep them in and fixodent plus works really great for me.
I had all my teeth extracted couple days ago and watching your videos. help me so much.Thank you for all that you do. Your videos help me get a game plan together
Hi Kristi, great videos. I just had an All on 8 on bottom, All on 9 on top. These teeth have been in for three weeks now and all the swelling is gone. I feel amazing and love having a beautiful smile again. I guess this is called immediate, as I will only be going back for cleaning every six months. I really enjoy your thoroughness in these videos and it helped me through the first couple weeks.
This is my third week since my extractions, and I got the immediate dentures and partial for my lower. I'm happy that I went this way, I didn't want to go without teeth.
That is something I would definitely change. I didn’t think it would be so bad. Not having any teeth. It stinks I panic if my mom wants to go to lunch. I Nanny for my 11 year old niece and 8 year old nephew. They were asking me Ang what happened to your teeth. I told them that my teeth. Had broke because I didn’t brush them. My 3 year old granddaughter. Just said to me last Saturday. Meme your teeth are like Papa’s. All gone my husband had his pulled almost year ago Oh well it is almost over.😂
My journey just began a little over three weeks ago. I had immediate dentures at the cost of $2222! What a true waste of money. I was sent to a special Dentist who is also a MD. I was under anesthesia when I had 20 teeth removed. Three weeks from now I will have a bone density test to have full implant dentures. In hindsight, I wish I would have had more real information!
I can understand! I’ve been dealing with my process for about a year now. That is my major problem and complaint is NO WHERE have I been have they explained anything to me! I had no clue about anything. I knew of immediate and permanent just from looking online and at pricing. I ended up having to go to the dental school nearest me and even there they didn’t give me options or explain why A would be better than B or C might work etc. It’s infuriating!! The dental community should be ashamed of themselves and what that field has turned into. It’s not to help people and care for their teeth and keep them in good health it’s about finding ways of making money and drawing things out intentionally. I’m sorry I get so upset and could go on and on about that. I got into the shape where I needed dentures because of neglectful dentist. I would definitely keep researching and looking at things like this before you commit enough to where yoh can’t go back or pay all up front. I’m in sort of that situation myself and trying to figure out what I should do. Reach back out if you’d like & maybe some of my experiences could help you. Either way, I wish you the best with your dental journey 🌻
@@rachel_tries I totally agree with everything you said! Dentists are all about the money and not the true health of your mouth and teeth. They never give you all the information you need to make a true informed decision! Unfortunately this cost me over the last two years $20,000 dollars! $8,000 for dental work including upper and lower partials(my dentist did not inform me on what that was going to feel like and the actual upper partial had a huge piece of twisted metal that gapped the top of my mouth! I threw them in the garbage! Less than two years later I went to a new dentist who ordered regular temporary dentures at the cost of $2200 dollars along with $295 exam and x rays! He then sent me to an oral surgeon to have the rest of my teeth removed $8,900! I had no time to look into what I should do due to caring for my mother under hospice and caring for my husband after 4 basis carcinoma surgeries. While I was recovering from my full teeth extraction I finally was able to do my own research in which I found Nuvia Implant Center! Very expensive and is worth every penny! They tell you everything you need to know, the good, the bad, and the ugly! Great testimonies on their youtube channel! You have a team of people in the room with you for the entire surgery and they do not leave you to work on another patient! The cost is high, however; well worth it! You have an anesthesiologist, oral surgeon, dentist, and two dental technicians! Mouth health is so important and shame on these dentists who only care about taking your money!
I had my total extraction in 2013. I had general anesthesia. I did wake up once, pointed to my mouth and basically grunted and they put me out again (yes, scary)*. I had immediate dentures, also stopped excessive swelling and bleeding. I was sore for about 5 days. But I developed a complication. My entire face swelled up, I was in pain and went to the ER. I had a mersa staph infection, the Doctors put in a drain, sutured into my upper lip which I had to irrigate several times a day. Of course I was on major antibiotics. When I finally healed, I got my permanent dentures. With a couple reclines and two broken teeth I have successfully worn the same dentures ever since. I am a bit concerned about the ‘shelf- life’ of 10 years...I am concerned about the cost of replacement dentures. Love and Luck to you all 💜😝
I went from December 2019 to November 2021 with no dentures at all. Perfect timing I got a good 2 year healing! Got my dentures Nov 2021 and going for a new reline tomorrow after my first year with them. I'm almost 42 and so happy I was able to wait. It was recommended by my dentist who did the extractions to wait at least 1 year. I waited 2 lol 😂
I have had mine for six weeks and feel the same way you do. I know that a lot of people don’t have good experiences. Getting dentures or wearing them. They need to fit so you can eat and smile. EVERYONE deserves that!!!!
i got all my teeth removed, then covid hit,so i had 2 years of my gums healing,so they fit perfect and never move around,i love my dentures they did more positive then negative in my life, and i no longer have overbite
26 and getting 26 teeth removed in 2 months. I could have continued with fillings but they told me I have extremely soft teeth and dentures would be the best bet. It sucks because I always took care of my teeth but sometimes genetics comes into play, I hope others realize sometimes it aint your fault and you'll still be able to smile again :) Enjoying eating ice cream might be a first soon...I've never once even as a kid been able to have ice cream without it hurting badly
I really like your videos. I got my dentures when I was 26 also. They put me to sleep pulled the 12 teeth I had left and when I woke up I had full set of dentures. I went back for the follow up the next week and that was the last time I seen the dentist for about 20 years. I had a reline in Thailand when I was 46 or so and a new set made about 3 years later. When I was about 60 I had a new set made when I was working in Saudi Arabia. The dentist was a young man from Nevada. He did a great job but the only gum material he had was a shade for Arabian people. A few years later I was working in the Philippines and had a set made but they didn't last long. They got loose in a couple of years so I had a set made here in Thailand they have done real well and maybe the last set I'll need . I'm 70 now and can still eat anything including corn on the cob , apples, and so on. Thanks for sharing your story. Now you know mine
@@familyinstitution2874 it is now. I had my first dentures when I was 26. Since then I had a set made here and 1 set made in Saudi Arabia by a dentist from Nevada and the last set was made here a few years back
I just got 21 teeth pulled today 08/22/23 and I went home with my new teeth. I had no idea I’ll need replacement in a few months. Thank you for the info. For my permanent teeth. I’m going to Mexico way cheaper.
My immediate dentures lasted over 10 years. Top full denture was replaced because my top immediate broke. Bottom partially still fits great after about 15 years
I got all my theeth pulled too . It has been 3 month sense then . It's really bad because I caint barely eat anything. So starving all the time . Hopefully in 3 weeks I have my permanent once . Thanks for your video . It helped alot .
I went with immediate. I’ve been following you from the beginning and have had mine about 9 years. I’m in the process of getting implants so I need to go back and watch your videos when you went to Vegas and Gainesville. I just had the bone grafts and sinus lift so I should be ready to go in March 🙂
Hi Brenda, I was told to have the bone grafts and sinus lift as well, and the price is $56000 total. That is so crazy for me. How much do they charge you if u don’t mind?
@@suongtruong93 it will be about $35-40,000 before it’s done and I am just doing the top. I still have my bottom. I’m doing everything I can to save them. I just cannot stand these uppers. I don’t like the glue. Having to take them in and out. Just everything that comes with them. I just kept telling myself I would get used to them. But I have just tolerated them cause I’ve had to 😉. Good luck.
My experience with an immediate upper was excellent,so much so that I wore it for almost 8 years.I had an upper partial before,so only 7 teeth had to be extracted.Soreness only lasted for about a week, and 0 issues with extraction fragments. But I dread the day when I have to have a lower done, currently have a partial there.Don't look forward to the day when I need a lower one done.
Your procedure sounds like mine scheduled for tomorrow morning.I have about 7 uppers I can't turn back as I recently broke my FRONT tooth it was a veneer so I'm done. I'm going to try and keep my bottoms my jaw moved a bit; it seems more narrow from missing back teeth maybe I'm hoping I can bleach my bottoms so I can hopefully get a whiter smile, just wondering how you matched your teeth and any pointers I should ask my dentist for tomorrow? thank you.
I got my immediates a couple of months ago. I lost mine because I have anorexia nervosa and my teeth didn't get enough nutrients for the last 30 years 😞 I love your channel and this video was really helpful. ❤️ Thank you
Back in 2015 I had 26 teeth (what I had left) extracted. I got immediate dentures. They SUCKED. Like literally. After my mouth healed, they were huge on me. They caused a lot of pain and infections in my gums. Sooooo let's jump ahead 9 years. I have been without teeth for 9 years! I am currently undergoing a bariatric diet for bariatric surgery and dentures is the one thing I needed in order to get the surgery. I received my permanent dentures 2 weeks ago. It was worth the 9 year wait! They fit perfect and after about a week of a little bit of pain from getting used to them, I love them, and I love my smile!
I live in Jacksonville FL and last year had the all on 4 done with a dentist at Gate Parkway. Your videos helped a lot with my journey. Thank you for sharing.
Can I just say, as a guy trying to talk with no upper teeth, that you sound so natural? The smooth-base plate I had made me whistle, so I'm investigating other options, like 4-in-1. Mmmm! Chewing salted peanuts again!
I have had my temporary dentures for a week today. The first few days I was so out of it from surgery I really didn't know how they felt then on Friday I realized get hurt like crazy from rubbing my gums almost everywhere. My dentist only does ajustments Monday through Friday so I had to wait ask weekends in so much pain for today to come. I'll soon get my first adjustment and wish I had been more with it through last week so I could have gotten it done then. I'm in so much pain and they feel like they're 2 sizes too big for my mouth. I didn't research dentures because I knew people that had them and thought I knew what I needed to know. I did not!! I knew the concept but not how much pain I would be in. I'm glad I got immediate dentures because I have lots of Dr appts so I can't just isolate until I'm healed waiting for my perm dentures but I wish I had known more to know for sure what to expect. Thank you for doing your videos.
Im getting snap ins. Its been 2 years since i got all my top teeth removed, thankfully i still have my bottoms and they are in great shape(i dont know how). Anyway this past Tuesday i just got 6 regular sized implants at the top. I’ve been watching all of your videos and they have helped me a lot. Im really excited for the end result even though its a few months down the road. I’ve waited so long for this. At 34 years old it is unfortunate that i lost my teeth so young but it is what it is.
I just turned 50 and got my extractions and immediate dentures placed at that time. I've had the immediate pair for 30 days. My permanent pair is set for Feb 2024. I am having a hard time with eating. I suppose I just have to learn how to eat again, and adjust to a different bite strength. The top stays in place all day, but the bottom is a different ballgame. I've got a standard appointment in April for a liner. I'm hoping that helps the bottoms feel a bit more secure. I figure after getting the final pair if I still have issues with the bottoms I'll consider the snap in. A month in and overall I'm happy minus my eating struggles, and figure by the time I do get the permanent I'll have figured it all out by that point. A year is a reasonable amount of time to adjust. I opted to go with the dentist that recommended 12 months before the permanent. Another place gave you the permanent after 6 months.
I got my dentures and had temporary put in after sugery with no problems at all!!! Great decsion. 5 months later they are not fitting well at all after trying everything, so will be going for my first dentist appointment after surgery. Love my decsion and glad I did it!!! Your video was very helpful😊
Your teeth look amazing. I’m constantly having trouble with my teeth. I wanna get dentures. I’m tired of spending a fortune. Every time I have to go to the dentist. My fear is that they won’t look like real teeth, but yours look incredible.
I went with immediates but I had to wait nearly 3 weeks after extractions before I could wear them.. you'll have a lot of swelling and your dentist may recommend healing a bit before you start using them. I think it was a good move.
Update from me: Cushion grip. Get some. Makes them fit and comfortable. When you do get your permanents, it pretty much starts all over again. But, they do last a lot longer before you will need the Cushion Grip. I could not wear my Permanents without some discomfort for some time. They are fitting pretty good now and I hardly need or use adhesives. Now, Adhesives are for big meals & all day wear. Best Advice: Learn to cut up your food into small peace's. This makes it pretty much so you can eat anything with or without adhesives. And never expect it to be like your old teeth. It's still an adventure. I am about to reach the 1 year mark. And hell, I forget to put in my teeth a lot. It's not that big a deal. Just learn to eat again haha. Cushion Grip. And if you are a handy man/person, Thermo-plastic works pretty good to.
This video really helped me relax a bit my procedure is tomorrow afternoon getting top dentures only with extraction so I’m praying I’m not in too much pain and can walk out the same day with the immediate dentures still kinda worried about the healing process
I'm 47 and going in on August 16th for my upper teeth extraction and lower few getting a full upper denture and a lower partial and my immediate dentures that same day, I'm scared as ever getting this done, not sure of how I'll deal with the pain and the thought of not having my real teeth in my mouth but dentures, how I'll speak and eat with them I'm afraid of sounding funny as well but I need to do this for my health.
Just had them extracted in month ago I plan for two sets of dentures immediate an after Final ones but she said something about grinding bone down and I forgot everything she ever said to me immediate didn’t say I was upset went through a lot of hard times for a couple weeks then I had my wife come in there with me she explained it my wife explained it to me and it all worked out it’s hard it’s different but I just got back from the dentist for an adjustment there was no drilling or Novacaine that’s the plus thanks for all you do this is what TH-cam is good for
Thanks for this video, I went with the immediate denture, this helped me understand a bit more about them, I got them for 2 reasons, 1. I was afraid of not being able to eat. and 2. I did not want to be seen in public without any teeth. I'm only on week 1, or day 6, and I'm not a fan of how sharp they are in some areas on my gums, he adjusted them Yesterday which was a little better, but geesh, it seems based on what you said that it will be a long road.
Just got all my teeth pulled out today, and I'm riding the hole year with no teeth with no problem , I'm not planning to go get them any sooner , everybody is different , I'm not gonna pay double for something temp , plus go thru all that pain , and relines , nope , so is all soft foods for a good 12 months for me , cheers
I went with immediate dentures and I’m currently waiting on my permanent set. I just went and done my impressions for them and gotta go back for wax fitting. The place I went made me wear the immediate set for 1 year before getting permanent set.
Just got all remaining upper pulled 3 days ago and once extractions were done they put the immediate dentures into my mouth and it was so uncomfortable I had to remove them. My dentist didn't explain to me what to expect. Therefore I haven't put the dentures back in waiting for the healing. Now I know the difference between immediate and permanent. Thank a lot for sharing this critical information. Peace and love.
Thank you so much for your video, it was very helpful, I am 5 months into my new full denture on top and partial on bottom, I will be going back and getting my permanent set real soon,, yes it is a journey and a new learning experience... Looking forward to getting my permanent set . 😁
My Dentist will do the relines for me. And that was included in his total fee that he charged. I am still on my temporary dentures. Will be getting the permanent dentures in September.
Im almost at 4 weeks with impressions i went with Aspen n it was like i went in for paperwork n next thing they pulled all my teeth i wish i had met dr n talked with her before but it was all so fast. I hate this impressions because I can't eat n all i hear is you have to get use to them! Also I'm getting financial help with Care Credit for amyone out there to be useful.. Praying for all of us!
just paid $7000 for this process to be done, got the immediate dentures, its been 5 days now and im adjusting. Due to osteoporosis i had bone lose in my jaw that lead to loose teeth so this was my only option.
First. You're very pretty and your teeth look great. I just had my extractions yesterday and am waiting for my temporary ones. I couldn't see myself without teeth while waiting although i have to wait for the temps a few days anyway.. ..thnx for sharing
You look great, your smile looks natural, too good, really but not fake. I made my own set of partials and my teeth are crooked so no one will suspect I am wearing dentures. But without them I have no smile at all, not enough teeth. So I embrace a few minor defects but I thought Elvis had the best smile of all...
Hey. Good to see you again It’s been 6 weeks since they extracted all my top teeth and implanted 10 titanium posts. Had to wait 2 weeks to heal enough to start my temporary dentures. Still struggling though. September can’t come soon enough
@ Oh,, It takes ten to 12 months to heal before they they attach the permanent teeth I’m grateful to have got them because they ain’t free $30,000 up front for the uppers
Had my bottoms for almost a year. They were immediate. Not one problem. Went to the dentist for three months after extractions. He put a temporary liner in and adjusted accordingly. Then a permanent liner and not a problem one.

I enjoyed and appreciated your personal story and info. I'm 65 years old and my teeth are just now (hard for me to even believe) getting bad. I'm suffering bone loss and loss of some teeth.
Love your videos
I got dentures when I was 26 due to gum disease. Got tired of going to the dentist so decided on dentures. That was 46 years ago. I got immediate dentures that lasted 20 years and only relined once in Thailand. Few years later had a new set made here and some years later had a set made in Saudi Arabia. My latest set was made here in Thailand again and probably my last set.
A lot of time has passed....i thought you got implants?
I was considering 4 on 4 but my dentist told me the permanent denture will be temporary, made from acrylic and resin . Then I would have to upgrade to zirconia. Does this sound about right ✅️. I canceled the surgery. It would cost another, $4000 to upgrade.
And can you please tell me how long the acrylic resin denture will last.
I had all my teeth extracted at 45 years old and wait a month to get permanent dentures upper and lower dentures. Now 25 years later I still wear the same dentures problem free.
how did you feel about that... im in a similar position and devastated at the thought.
@@carol2408ify That is the best decision I ever made for the 25 years I had the dentures.
Where are you located?
How long after full extraction did you receive the permanent set?
@@joetoscano3875 Once full extraction - 2 days later stitches all the gum close, another week removal the stitches then form the dentures in cement. 4 days later form the permanent dentures took another week. All together about a month.
I work in a busy coffee shop 40 hours a week it took me 4 months to get use to wearing my permanent dentures. Getting my teeth reconstructed has helped me gain so much confidence and faith within myself.
Why did it take so long to get used to wearing perm set 😱 did you have to have them do more work to them?
It's been 5 and a half months for me and I'm still not used to my permanent ones!
Thank you, this helps so much❤

They should refund the difference full stop
thank u for ur vidz.
So happy for you! You got this!
Do you use fixadent or poly grip on the bottoms?
Year later. How's it going. I was in the same boat 11 months ago. Did the soft line help? I had so much completed bone spikes that I finally just got my permanent dentures. Lots of trips to have tweeks done on sore spots. Still love my immediate lowers with soft line more then these new ones
Im in the same exact boat at this moment of typing lol. Got an update? Im curious.
Oh man, I was like you. I'm 5 months out, getting reline in 2 months since gums will be healed by then, I hope. It's been a learning curve.
Same I have been so frustrated.
🥹🥹same….I got mine two days back and I feel so depressed 😭
I saw recently that some dentists don’t explain that you have A choice. They should because you should be given all the information. In order to make informed decision. Pretty crummy thing to do too you and other people. I am really sorry.
I am a denture/lab tech here in Colorado. You are such a breath of fresh air. It is definitely not and easy road to go down for any patient, but a must in many cases. Wish all patients understood this.
My dentist is a butcher he is super mean and very aggressive I almost busted him in the mouth

Hey can u get permanent dentures same day you get them taken out or what wld you recommend?
@@Os-Xp you can get dentures the same day as the extractions, but they would be considered "temporary". They are a good option for someone who does not want to go with out teeth. However There is always the possibility that they may not look the best or come together the best when biting. The bite can usually be adjusted. Basically its a matter of if you want teeth while you heal up. Or if you want to heal up first, and then make the dentures.
@@ryanslapz ty bro you're a God send
I waited for my permanents. Had my extractions when I was working from home during the Covid shut down. Plus I received a full bone graft and had stiches. Since mask wearing was required in public I had no issues when I had to go out. I found a variety of soft foods to eat. Within 3 months I had my permanents and they fit great. It's been a little over a year and they still fit great with no adhesive needed. My dentist even ordered the same canines you have from Ivoclar. You have been such an inspiration for me throughout this process. Thanks for sharing your journey.
I LUV reading comments like yours Laura! Your story is inspiring!! So happy for u 😉
I got a full extraction in November they want to give me my perms March 15 I feel like that’s too soon
My immediate dentures were terrible so I learned how to make my own with the proper materials and tools.
Thank you.
I had emmediate pernament 12days and doing good. So y others cannot get pernament at the same time.
Because the implants are 500.00 bucks a pop, initially I was only going to have them on the bottom.
if it is not too personal, can you tell me what insurance you have....if not...I understand.
This is the best video on TH-cam about dentures that I have found. Going to my dentist Monday . Keep up the good work .
I had 10 teeth extracted and 8 implants set in one procedure (4 upper, 4 lower). I had no teeth for two weeks until the swelling went down, then got my temporary dentures. After 5 months I got my permanent snapin dentures, which I am very happy with.
Are you still happy with them?
@@JennyJAldrich Yes, I am.
How much did you pay?
My deepest sympathy to you. You took the time you needed. I am glad that they are still fitting so well after five years. This is very encouraging!

I am so sorry for your loss.💔
I got the immediate dentures glad that I did. I did a lot of research it has been 2 months for me.

Polidenture is great for that
My dentist wants to place my permanent dentures immediately too.

I am so sorry for both of you. They need to explain all your options. So you can make informed decisions. This was not done and that makes me mad.
Thank you for this video. I am freaking out. I am getting the Immediate dentures. 68 in Texas.
What did you eat for two years?!
One month now with dentures and I’m so happy I have them. I can flash my beautiful smile again.
Update? Hopefully it is going well for you so far.
Hey ice dog dentures aren’t to bad and I have them so you’ll love them like I do
I really like your videos.
@@eddyriyadh where is your dentist clinic in Thailand?
@@familyinstitution2874 it is now. I had my first dentures when I was 26. Since then I had a set made here and 1 set made in Saudi Arabia by a dentist from Nevada and the last set was made here a few years back
I just got 21 teeth pulled today 08/22/23 and I went home with my new teeth. I had no idea I’ll need replacement in a few months. Thank you for the info. For my permanent teeth. I’m going to Mexico way cheaper.
I did both and with the first set I wore them for about 5 years until they broke and had the good they gave me 5 years ago. I just got use to them.
I am going to do as you said. Waiting for my gums to heal and naturally develop for a prefect mold.
Good luck.
Thank you
How did you sinus lift go? That's the part I am afaird of.
Hey neighbor! Glad the videos helped and happy it worked out for you!
You got this Missy! Years in the making, these next few months are going to fly by!
I'm new to this 36yo and get full extraction next month
I decided not to go with Acrylic and went with Zirconia. Your teeth look great and you have a beautiful smile!😁
Your teeth look amazing. I’m constantly having trouble with my teeth. I wanna get dentures. I’m tired of spending a fortune. Every time I have to go to the dentist. My fear is that they won’t look like real teeth, but yours look incredible.
She has implants - not dentures
I went with immediates but I had to wait nearly 3 weeks after extractions before I could wear them.. you'll have a lot of swelling and your dentist may recommend healing a bit before you start using them. I think it was a good move.
Not every one. I had not swelling at all.
@@antoniodecastro1194 you’re lucky then ! I mouth was sore for quite a while.
I was scared too. I had mine pulled in March. I got my permanent dentures in October. Everything is fine now.
I did not know anything and my questions went unanswered. Thank you!
You explained this very well😊🎉
I went with immediate dentures and I’m currently waiting on my permanent set. I just went and done my impressions for them and gotta go back for wax fitting. The place I went made me wear the immediate set for 1 year before getting permanent set.
Im also going through the process, bottom dentures right after extractions. Its only been a week .😢im anxious to get better ( healed)
Going soon to get dentures.
Hey. Good to see you again
It’s been 6 weeks since they extracted all my top teeth and implanted 10 titanium posts. Had to wait 2 weeks to heal enough to start my temporary dentures. Still struggling though.
September can’t come soon enough
Why do you need temporary dentures when you already have permanent implants? Please expalin
@
Oh,,
It takes ten to 12 months to heal before they they attach the permanent teeth
I’m grateful to have got them because they ain’t free
$30,000 up front for the uppers
Thank you Jesus for Apollonia!!🙏🙏🙏
Had my bottoms for almost a year. They were immediate. Not one problem. Went to the dentist for three months after extractions. He put a temporary liner in and adjusted accordingly. Then a permanent liner and not a problem one.
