I’ve been a dentist for 35 years and dentures are the most ridiculous and absurd concept in history. Patients who need them should reflect on how negligent they were to lead to losing their teeth. I have no compassion for them. All they do is drive the dentist out of his mind with ridiculous expectations. Dentures should be a do-it-at-home procedure. We dentists don’t deserve the hell you put us through.

One tip for anyone struggling with eating. I found crock pot cooking helps. Right now I am eating cube steak something impossible with my crappy dentures.. not only is it soft enough but is tastes more like roast beef...one recipe is mushroom soup and beef gravy mix the other recipe calls for onion soup mix and beef gravy mix. Whatever works when the dentist doesn't

My husband also has started to cook steaks in the crockpot,so I can eat with my dentures.

I have been a dentist for 30 years, For the most part, I thought you were dead on-- on how dentures work. Usually patients are to apprehensive or overwhelmed when they get their first dentures, that they truly don't either understand or have realistic expectations of how dentures function. Your explanation of the process is quite accurate. If you and your dentures cannot function properly, eat and speak with your dentures, they can be adjusted. If your dentist cannot fix the basic functional issues, find another dentist. Today there is heavy stress on implants and more cosmetic forms of dentistry due to PROFIT motives. A quality, functional denture should be the norm, but many newer dentists and laboratories do NOT have the significant experience to master this type of restorative option. In fact it is becoming increasingly difficult to find quality labs to fabricate and repair dentures properly. There is a learning curve to wearing a denture, but it should not be impossible to enjoy a quality and nutritionally healthy diet. Demand satisfaction from your dentist or find a better, more helpful one !

It’s a shame the implant industry is so profit driven instead of being helpful and affordable. I’ve been quoted $40k to $80k and it’s disgusting and disheartening since the majority of people aren’t rich. There are probably many that have contemplated suicide from going through tooth loss knowing they won’t have their natural teeth and going through all the changes. Without teeth or dentures it dramatically changes your facial structure. From looking young to looking like an elderly person in a short time.

Went to my doctor with an ear ache, she saw nothing. Next day my wife had made me a dental appointment. Infection of my teeth. Had all top pulled 5 years ago, now all bottom had to go. I brushed my teeth 2 times a day and tried to take care the best I could. At 72 I figured, GET ER DONE. Their are problems to overcome, but I think I'm doing O.K. Lower set gives me the most trouble, but I just add more Fixodent to them in the afternoon and it does the trick. Glasses, teeth, hearing aids! Got the top part of my body working, NOW!

I'm 70 and have glasses, hearing aides and dentures. My top dentures were I think 9 years ago. Fixodent helps tremendously. Just 6 or 7 weeks ago, had my bottoms pulled. I'm still adjusting with my bottoms. I'm sure I'll be needing them relived. I was told in around 6 months after the extractions. So it will be in March. But until then, I'm managing. Just struggling eating with them in. Prayers this will improve soon.

Did you have any issues with throwing up?? I am on day 3. The 1st day I had 13 teeth pulled at 3pm. By 8pm I was throwing up. I finally fell asleep around 10pm. Woke up again a little after midnight vomiting again. The 2nd day I begged my dentist to take out the dentures, at least for a little while. I couldn't take anything for the pain or my antibiotics because I kept throwing up. Today is day 3. He did take them out and said we could leave them out until Monday (day 6). I've stopped vomiting, with the help of anti-nausea meds. But I'm not putting much on my stomach for terror of breaking my stitches trying to eat anything. I did manage some mashed potatoes today though.

@markbailey7584 I had mine done 1.5 months ago. Eating will be easier when you're able to use adhesive after you've healed up some. I ate with mine out for 2 weeks until I got a soft liner and was able to use adhesive. And even then I had spots that hurt when chewing. I went back in and they made some adjustments that helped. Everyday gets a little easier. If you got any questions just ask I'll be more than happy to answer if I can.

I am 62 yrs old and after spending thousands of dollars and many hours in a dentist chair in the past I am looking at having to go full dentures-due to TMJ not being caught early on from trama/accidents; my bite never being corrected and then bad dental work on top of it 🤬!!!). I went recently, had all of my raggedy teeth removed at once & left with a full set of temporary dentures. I wanted an oral surgeon to perform it so that i could be put to sleep for the extractions but I settled on another place who gave me a much sooner appt than my regular dentist and the local oral surgeon. With an oral sedative, I was able to get them all removed with minimal pain & discomfort.
Day 2 & I'm eating pizza in very small pieces with yea, u guessed it (with a fork & knife).
Before the dentures, I ate foods and drank drinks at room temperature, but on day one (yesterday), I enjoyed my very favorite ice cream for the 1st time in years.
I'm still kind of numb, so I've bitten my lower lip a few times, but I'm hoping to get better at chewing within a few days.
And guess what? I can actually taste my pizza just as I had tasted my ice cream yesterday. Please note tho, my gums are still very sore, but at least the bleeding stopped, and it is taking me a very long time to eat these small pieces of pizza.
I'm praying that this isn't the norm and it's only bcus my dental work is freshly done.
Also, bcus I'm still experiencing a little numbness, I've bitten my bottom a few times, but nothing serious like drawing blood. Hope this helps.
P.S. I plan to keep my dentures in at all times except when I clean them bcus IM TOO YOUNG FOR DENTURES😅😅😅
however, i now have the absolute best smile... i love it.
I didn't choose the brightest white dentures. I chose a more natural shade bcus TO ME, bright white looks like veneers and i'd like my dentures to go unnoticed by others❤

I attempted adhesive and immediately broke out. Without adhesive when I wear my uppers now, I have a rash within an hour or two.
Restricts EVERYTHING about my life right now and I'm embarrassed to socialize at all. Going out to eat sounds like a nightmare in reality.

I'm really not happy about the whole procedure so far but watching your video I realize I need to give this mouthful of plastic a chance. Thanks again for uploading the vid as it is extremely helpful for those of us new to dentures.

I just got top dentures about 2 weeks ago. The first day was agonizing - however, I was able to make it through the week on soft foods and now I'm learning to cut up some food into smaller pieces depending on what it is and to chew more thoroughly. I appreciate you making this video as it has boosted my confidence 100%

I eat just about everything now, thought would never eat good again the 1st few months, now, 4 years later I dont even blink at any foods, sometimes forget and just start eating at parties, restaurants etc. I eat everything I want, it can be done. Videos like this encouraged me to not give up and keep trying until it was natural. Other than jawbreakers and candy apples I can bite and chew anything down. No adhesive.

I’m 57 and have had my dentures for several years. I had all my teeth pulled at once, it was not a problem. Everything she said was exactly right for me, except I always have adhesive. I’ve never had them adjusted. I leave them in 24/7. They come out about once a day if I need to re-glue them. I just wipe them down and apply new adhesive. I always wanted to give support to those that are nervous about getting them because they are life changing for me. I never would believe that they would feel like real teeth. The one thing she didn’t say is that I can feel the sensation of every tooth just like they are real. They feel like they are original teeth except no rot or pain. I can eat almost anything except taffy and I don’t bite hard things and I don’t chew gum. It takes a while to get used to them, but when you do it’s great.

I've had dental issues as long as I can remember but recently lost one of my front teeth so my insecurity about my smile is at an all time high. I ordered some pop on veneers for now but I'm looking into permanent solutions. I've always thought the best option for me would be implants but the price tag is outrageous. I just got my dentures roughly 2 months ago. The first month was very challenging to eat and you are correct, it is a learning process. Fortunately I have an amazing dentist, if i need adjustments i can go into the office any time and they don't let me leave till I am comfortable with how the dentures fit. I am now coming to the point that they will be putting in my first set of liners and I am told that especially the lower denture will fit much better. I am now at this point able to eat most of what i did before I got dentures, some things take longer to be able to eat. I try to eat certain things and if it is to difficult I adjust how I eat it or wait a little longer and try again. Before I got my dentures I rarely went out in public to eat, I was very self conscious about how I looked, embarrassed really. i had always taken care of my teeth yet they still went bad. I have never been a drug user so that wasn't the cause. A month after getting my dentures I took my family on vacation and actually allowed my picture to be taken. We went out to eat for every meal and had a blast. I am still trying to train myself to not cover my mouth when I smile or laugh, old habits die hard. Not only am I not ashamed of how I look any longer but I feel that my wife doesn't have to be embarrassed either, although she has never said she was nor acted like it. Getting dentures, for me, has changed my life for the better. I am happier, I have no pain any longer, I feel healthy and have so much more energy. Thank you for your video. I believe your advice is pretty much spot on.

So, I haven't had any side or back teeth for about 10 years. I haven't been able to have them extracted either so they're just broken down to the gums. I relate so much to what you're saying about perspective, It's SO HARD to eat with just my front teeth (which are starting to break down as well from eating on just those teeth) and I haven't eaten anything enjoyable in years. I deal with constant pain. I feel like getting these teeth out and getting my dentures will be a relief, because ANYTHING has to be an improvement compared to what I've been living with. I'm about a month or so away from getting this done, I had my initial consult about a month ago, I didn't qualify for any financial assistance or payment plan so I've been scraping together the $16000 (it's expensive for 30 surgical extractions and both sets of dentures) and I'm almost there. I am honestly just looking forward to getting these bad teeth out, I can deal with any other struggles as they come.

I'm in a similar situation. I'm about to be 43 on Sept 12. 5 days ago, I had to have my 7th extraction since I was in my early 20s, due to infection. The one before that was infected & abscessed.
I have so much bone loss from having teeth pulled, that one of my bottom, front incisors is always loose because there's not enough bone left to hold it in place.
This of course makes biting anything a challenge, since I'm constantly worried about that tooth falling out. I have only been able to chew on my right side for yrs & it's making those teeth bad & painful to eat as well.
All my incisors are so sensitive it hurts to eat, hot or cold, even breathing through my mouth the air hitting them hurts. They also told me I have paradontal disease.
A few years ago, I cracked my front tooth on my hula hoop & 2 winters ago it chipped off.
I have barley anything left to chew or bite with. I'm finally ready for dentures.
I have always taken care of my teeth, but they just keep getting worse. Bad genes I guess.
I also have a blood clotting disorder, which makes my blood so thick, it does not circulate as well as it should. I believe that has something to do with it as well?
Not sure what my insurance covers yet. Hoping the cost of getting immediate healing dentures is not too expensive? I live on a limited income, so saving takes time. I'll take bottom of the barrel since as you said, anything has to be better then this!! I've been told my insurance should cover the extractions. It's the rest I'm worried about being able to afford. I feel your pain! 😉

I just came across your channel. I have full uppers and a partial on the bottom with 4 teeth on one side and one on the left side. I have had mine since 1978. Thank God for three good dentists, I can pretty much eat anything that doesn’t eat me first. I have been very lucky in that none of my dentures have required an adhesive. My main problem was the real teeth and a couple crowns on the bottom were so much harder than the acrylic of the upper. Hence I was wearing thru the uppers about every 5 years. My current dentist solved that issue. He simply added filling material the the upper above my lower teeth. My last upper was made 2011. You are very correct in your statement that we may need to some foods differently than with real teeth. DO NOT GET FRUSTRATED WOTH THEM. AND DO NOT HESITATE TO RETURN TO THE DENTIST FOR ADJUSTMENTS. Thank you for this video I'm 45 and lost my teeth a couple years after I gave birth to my son. For some reason pregnancy didn't agree with my teeth. Well my son will be 18 this May so I've gone many years with no teeth. I haven't wanted dentures because of all the horror stories about them falling out or causing sores in your mouth. I can't tell you how depressed I am. Going out has become such a task, I'm so embarrassed that I was actually sad when they lifted the mask mandate. I have really bad credit from a divorce so implants and snap ons are not a choice for me. Sometimes, I've felt death might be better it may sound extreme but I'm very unhappy. I've thought of doing a go fund me but I've never been the type of person to ask for help. You've made me reconsider getting dentures and I like to thank you, you're a beautiful person inside and out.

I hear ya girl! I'm 43 and have had my dentures since I was 25. I was an addict and my teeth just got really rotten. When I got clean, I got pregnant with my son. So the only reason I got them done was because I had to go out in public with my son and I couldn't hide in my house forever. It was so awkward, but I got used to them probably about a couple of months. I didn't smile tho for about a month. Lol. And being a cook for 16 yrs; there was no way that I was going without my favorite foods! I can eat anything but no carmel. And whole peanuts would get stuck in between my dentures and it would hurt my gums because my dentures would rub against my gums, which is really painful. And I really loved Oh Henry chocolate bars. ☹️ lol. I can eat steak with baby bites, as long as I have adhesive, but I'll take out my dentures when I eat steak or something that is chewy. I also have a tooth missing because I chewed a mint 🫣. I went to a dentist's office and they told me that it would cost me about $400-$500 to just get that tooth put back in. But the sad thing is; someone had told me to use super glue to put it back in 🤫 . Don't do it. It don't work anyway 🤣 And my mom also had dentures when she was 25, and my brother at 36. So, I guess it's hereditary for some people. My piece of advice..if your mouth is full of rotten teeth..get them all ripped out and get a full set of dentures; because it's cheaper than getting implants ( well cheaper in 🇨🇦 anyways). And smile, because you'll start to love them! Thank you for talking about this! 💜😃

I have had two surgeries and radiation for oral cancer in my right jaw, in the last three years. So I only have teeth on the left side of my jaw. My cancer surgeon tell's me that there is not enough bone left to put in implants. So I'm considering getting a partial lower denture but I'm concerned about whether it will stay in place when chewing. It's a tough decision for me as my dentist tells me I first would to have a surgeon remove the scar tissue from the two previous surgeries and have a skin grafted in to make room for the denture. Has anyone had success with a lower partial only attached to teeth on the opposite side? Thanks.

Thank you for your video. I have been very apprehensive about getting my teeth fixed. I have never been good about my dental hygiene. My parents had bad teeth themselves and never made it a point to make it a habit for me. I never went to the dentist until I was 19. At that point my dentist told me that I could save my teeth if I started taking care of them. But because it was never a habit and I often suffered with depression this never happened. I'm now 36 and my mouth is a trainwreck. Eating can be very painful. I used to be able to adjust how I eat and avoid the bad teeth. In the last few years this has been becoming more difficult. I've pretty much reached the point of dentures or nothing. I was holding out for getting implants, but they are not cheap. Now I'm really considering getting some normal dentures. My teeth really embarrass me. I can barely eat. My mouth is constantly in pain. Luckily I've made some strides in fixing my credit. I'm going to try and get some basic dentures to start out with and eventually add implants later. Thank you for giving me some courage to pursue this!

Watching your video, as well as selected others, have put me a lot more at ease. I guess it really does help to find others who have been through the same process. I also think perhaps dentists/oral surgeons should better prepare patients for what it's like to have dentures, as well as classes post-placement to help with the transition. Your teeth are beautiful! (and you have very pretty eyes too) I've had my upper dentures for about 10 or 11 months now. 3 weeks ago they finally did a hard reline. Using the poorly made imminent denture as my now permanent denture. Oh they do fit better, as they are not as thick in the front pushing my lips out. But, maybe one thing to tell your viewers, when they go (for me anyway) from a temporary denture to their permanent denture, they will fit and feel different. I had gotten use to eating or I should say, mastering different methods of eating, and then had to train myself almost all over again when I got the permanent hard relined ones. Probably my biggest hurdle is I still have my ugly crooked half missing, mis alined natural bottom teeth. Only 1 or 2 of the outside edges catch the flat part of the denture tooth. BUT, I hesitate pulling them for lower dentures, because I can still use them in biting some foods, and I do pull out my uppers sometimes to eat, and when I do that, my old ugly lower teeth can grab onto the sandwich and bit and gum it into a eatable piece. Im afraid if I got them pulled, they'd never fit or stay in place, and I'd lose being able to do that at least. There are times I look at some food and get excited to eat it only to remember I can't bite it. Had a birthday picnic for our foster daughter yesterday at the park. Out of the foods we had there, (and we had lots, my wife is Filipino and if you know Filipinos, they love lots of food) I choose a hotdog, thinking I could eat that in front of a bunch of people. My first small bite, the denture pulled down in the back and almost got lost in my mouth. I ended up getting a knife and slicing it into small bite sized pieces and using a fork to eat my hotdog. I find I can chew most foods once I get them into my mouth, but I just cannot bite anything anymore. That part is something I am still having anxiety over. I try not to dwell on it but it still makes me sad. One thing that helps me when I feel depressed about my new teeth is, before I had my old teeth pulled, I took selfie pictures of my teeth, real close ups. So I will bring those teeth up on my computer to remind me of what I did have and what I have now. I do get some comfort in that. Knowing how ugly my smile use to be and how much nicer it is. I think maybe a lot of my problem is the dentist I choose. The guy seems caring, and has spent a lot of extra time with me, with cosmetic part. After he pulled my teeth, he took extra time in reshaping my gum and tried to push back my over bite, knowing the denture would cause some bulking, and when he made my hard reline, he took them down to the lab ( in house) and explained to them how he wanted the front pulled back more to make even less of an overbite for me. But, I've noticed these teeth are so thin, if I ever did drop them or bite anything hard, they WILL break. But, money don't grow on trees, and my insurance on my retirement, only goes so far. WOW, sorry I didn't mean to write a book on your video post. Please keep making videos, they really do help those who watch them. God Bless.... ( Robb from Albany ORegon)

Hi there. 36 year old recovering alcoholic and addict here. My mouth health was in the gutter, I couldn't eat, drink, or do anything. I was in constant EXCRUCIATING pain and discomfort, I never smiled, I was afraid to date, and was completely miserable. After doing thorough research, I decided to have my teeth taken out. All of them (that were left or halfway there). I'm on my first day of permanents and 6.5 weeks out of E-Day. I purposely did not do immediate dentures because I got some good advice from my aunt. I realize that may not be an option for some folks, but if you can go toothless for a month and a half, do it. My dentures fit and they fit well. Eating is really hard right now, but coming here and listening to this has been so uplifting and reassuring. This and "dentures vs food" have been incredibly helpful, a God send if you will.
My advice? Do what is going to help you LONG TERM. My health is already 10x better since I got those teeth taken out. Talk to many dentists and find somebody you like and trust. Dont settle for less. Ever. This is incredibly important. Also, be adamant about adjustments and making sure they're comfortable. It's their job and you should be comfortable while you have them in.
Implants are being pushed super hard now. The reason for that is simple. PROFIT. The procedure is fairly quick, the recovery is straightforward and it's a one shot way to make a lot of money for the practice. Essentially a one and done for the dentist. No free follow ups, adjustments, etc.. It just makes more financial sense for them to push implants. They'll spook you with "bone loss" warnings (which is real but not nearly as bad as they make it sound if you wear your dentures), face changes, cheeks sinking in, anything to sway you to pay for implants. I'm from DC and a full mouth of complete implants is 65K+. Its insane.
Anyway, THANK YOU for being here for us. Get the dentures, they aren't horrible and your confidence and happiness will be back sooner than you think.

Given the fact that they are elderly and need help caring for themselves, it isn't surprising. Could the cause of the infections possibly be due to not having the implants regularly checked and cleaned professionally, or perhaps the patients already having pre-existing issues that facilitate the infections? Those two factors make a huge difference.

Often when new especially you're told to leave them out at night and they can feel uncomfortable. They'll be 100 times more uncomfortable when you put them back in in the morning. So clean them, clean your mouth, put them back in your mouth and go to bed. Your gums will get used to them a whole lot faster, and they won't feel uncomfortable half the day after you put them back in every morning.

While there is some truth in what you are saying, it's is different from individual to individual As a dentist, I tell my patients not to wear them at night. The gum tissue is just like any other tissue in the body and needs time to repair after a denture has say I'm them all day. It's the same as person working out arms or legs in a gym, rest repairs and makes new tissue grow. Second, many people grind and clench during sleep. Just like mentioned in the video, grinding and clenching can break the dentures or teeth. These pieces can be aspirated into the lungs while breathing during sleep and can cause a severe lung abscess or pneumonia. Last, if the denture stay in place all day and night, ulcers can occur from tissue break down. The mouth contains yeast microbes that can get into the ulcers and grow creating a major infection. These microbes can live in the tiny spaces of your denture as well causing repetitive yeadt infections. The main thing is to be educated and to clean your dentures as well as your mouth, and know wearing dentures is an individual experience. What tips and tricks that works for one person does not work for all people. The end result is sickness, damage to the denture, and more expense out of your pocket hoping the denture can be fixed.

At this point in my life I am having all my top teeth removed, scary stuff, but unfortunately some of my front teeth cannot be saved 😢 unless I get implants, they are so expensive here in Australia. I am so worried about eating in the future. I love to cook and eat! I am going in for my teeth removal in January and am 💩ing myself

Before I got my dentures I found you & started watching your videos. I had all my teeth pulled last April. The dentist told me not to get immediate dentures because it would cause problems to my healing. It was horrible, since I work with the public. I had my dentures made by a new dentist who didn't have much experience, there is so much to be said about a dentist who's been making & doing dentures for a reasonable period of time. My 1st set never looked correct, felt correct & were so far into the back I couldn't keep them in due to constantly gagging. I had another dentist adjust them, however things still didn't help. I eventually went somewhere else to get another new set of dentures. These have been so much better, however still struggled with gagging. I realized since I didn't have an immediate denture, my tongue never got the change to get desensitized. I had heard if you wear them your mouth, muscles & tongue will eventually adjust, it just takes time for this to take place. I've been faithful wear my new dentures for over a week now & have noticed things are getting better. I still find myself gagging at times, some of what I think is in my own head, however much better. I was also told to cut my food up & chew with the back teeth. I've been holding off on eating with them till I'm past the gagging. I just want to Thank You for all the videos you have shared on your channel. I was grateful to find you! No one told me anything I needed to do once I had my teeth pulled & even when I got dentures. I do need to understand oral health better when having no teeth. What is proper care for the oral health of our mouths without teeth? Is that something you could explain for any new & existing denture wearer? I'd really appreciate a new video just on that. Again Thank You for sharing your story & empowering all denture wearers!

I'm two years into my top plate. The first year and a half, it was pure misery. Lost 40#, lived on mashed potatoes and peanut butter. Couldn't taste anything! my dentist is of no help. But six months ago, I found a adhesive that work extremely well. I can get two descent meals out of one application. I still can't even think about eating an apple or corn on the cob, but I'm calling it a win. The worst thing about the adhesives, is the clean up. What a mess. But at least I don't have to eat vicariously through others!

I’m so glad I found your channel. I’m 63 and have terrible teeth, broken cracked, decayed missing and no longer near functional and very painful. I don’t care as much about looks as I do functionality. I love to eat everything period! I have a beard and goatee, so it hides my teeth well, unless I full-mouth laugh, which I don’t.
I think I can only handle all- on- four. Traditional dentures are not something I think I can live with. Snap -ins just sound like they would be weak and a a real hassle. I’m hard on everything. I break things just getting them out of the package. I also grind my teeth, ( which I know I’d need to stop.) Your videos sure are helping my decision-making process. I’m less angry and fearful after watching them. Now I’m going through a cost/ benefit analysis phase . I’m very healthy and other than teeth, I have no other issues. But I’m thinking the cost of all -on- four is about as much as a car! My family is long-lived, usually into the mid- 80s, but the average mortality rate is 76.3 years for a man so, that’s 13 - 20 years. Of course, being able to eat anything I want with no pain would be the best thing I could do for myself.
I’m concerned that wherever I go they are going to give me the hard sell. I’m scared embarrassed and crabby.

Christopher. Don’t be embarrassed. I assure you, the staff and dentists have seen worse. They shouldn’t be pushy. Unfortunately, I realize that some are. Their job is to educate as to what your options are and give you the pros and cons of each option. It’s your job, not theirs, to choose what is right for you. If the office seems too pushy, try another office.

I was eating 5 days after getting my denture. My upper teeth are mine. I think that helped a great deal. It has been 3 weeks since getting two lower implants. I was so determined not to be on just soft food. I have eaten steak, chicken, fish. I can eat any cooked vegetable. Not raw yet. I cannot eat a sub yet, but I can eat a sandwich I make. I have eaten chips, tacos. I love to cook so I was headstrong about eating. I have been experimenting with all foods. I just dont assume I cant eat something until I try!

Good video! Almost a month I had my dentures in. I did a full 6 hr 10 tooth extraction. Accident knocked out of the rest, so I had no gauze the dentures were the substitute. Bad accident knocked most teeth out and a lot of gums. You have to train yourself how to eat. I have few more adjustments, cant give up like a lot of people. Bread and a lot of stuff I hold in My mouth so saliva will soften it like bread, crackers, broccoli, and fried fish. Poligrip helps a lot. Brush every day especially if you smoke. Don't use efferdent the first few months it softens that pink stuff on the top of your top denture.

You will be able to eat most foods. Cut meats into thin, small pieces. Broccoli and cauliflower can be bought "riced" or you can do it yourself. Cauliflower can be boiled and mashed like you do potatoes and it's good piled up the some butter. Italian bread is so chewy it can pop your denture out unless its dipped in soup broth. Made a lot of casseroles for mom using ground meat or made ground meat with gravy and put it over mashed potato. Biting and tearing/pulling is challenging but cutting things like pizza or a meatball sub into pieces does work.
