I hope this will be the case for me. No matter what I do my teeth chip and break. I just turned 40 and I’m terrified. I’m scared I’ll look funny, talk funny, etc. These videos and comments from others going through the same thing is helping my anxiety so much. ❤️
Im about to be 48 as well nov 8th and went today to start getting them done. I got 4 extracted today and 14 more to go and immediate dentures on Oct 19th
@@neeshaheun4436you'll talk funny until it heals and they fix them enough to fit perfectly. I have yet to heal entirely got them a few days ago... Gotta love being 21 with a top denture hey? 😂
I have had mine for 20 yrs. My dentist told me to sleep with them to hold my bone structure. I only had top for about 10 yrs and then I got bottom also. I soak mine while I shower and get ready for bed. I brush my gums and tongue every night with toothpaste and a toothbrush. Then put my teeth back in. I have never had a problem
I'm embarrassed about my husband seeing me with my top denture out. Lol don't want to scare him off. I Go upstairs ( I'm very lucky I have a room for all shit 😂) I stay up there for maybe 2hrs. Denture in sterdent. I'm a bit sneaky, I'll have a cigarette up there to. I'm finding I'm having to put on quite a bit of fixadent. When I tilt my head forward I am actually drooling, my saliva is the a running tap. If anyone has any suggestions for me I would greatly appreciate. Your fellow denture wearer ❤
My husband been wearing his dentures at night for over 50 years..thats why they fit so good ...only on his second denture now fit so good you have to force them out with 2 hands..only takes them out to brush them and soak them when he's in shower...
That's what I'm saying.all info people try to give u is not always true.most dentist or ppl thats telling her this probably don't even wear dentures.what need to be talked about it why so many ppl implants fails and it's been hiding for so long....
@@tesathompson35 Every long term dentures wearer I know who is happy with their dentures, eats everything, says they fit perfectly etc. etc. only takes them out to clean them. This is also the advice that I am getting from the CONSISTENTLY. Do not take them out other than to clean. The people that have issues with dentures not fitting, are uncomfortable with them, have bone loss and so on, all take them out, often whenever they aren't seen in public and surely followed the advice to take them out at night which got them there. The youtuber herself doesn't even wear dentures anymore and has only worn them what, 2 years? She's parroting what dentists (who don't have dentures, let's be real) say just like society in general does. Of course modern dentists want you out of dentures or to go straight to implants. After the full mouth extractions, immediates (if applicable) and then permanents are done, you don't make them money. Maybe you need a bit of a reline sometimes or new dentures years down the line. If you actually DON'T follow their advice and don't constantly take them out, you need even less to do with them. But implants and hybrids make them a hell of a lot of money. They are also a gift that keeps on giving because you need them professionally cleaned and they don't last forever. They use the same tricks to sell them that they do with braces. They tell you that you will have all these problems in the future, that you won't be able to eat and have lower quality of life and so on. As if they are a fortune teller who can see the future? Of course they never REALLY warn you about the potential side effects of the very expensive and very lengthy treatment they want to push on you. I find implants seriously CREEPY. Everyone shits on dentures but have metal that you cannot even clean properly screwed into your jaw?? Ew.
@@mchobbit2951 Wow! Thank you so much! I was warrying a lot of not being able to take my dentures off for sleeping or any long period of time. I actually forgetting I'm having them quiet often. And implants do look very scary procedure to me with lots of complications. Was wearing my dentures for over 32 years. Thank you for sharing your opinion and experience! Made me feel much better.
I have an uncle who never takes out his dentures. He doesn't like being seen without them even his wife barely ever sees him without dentures. He cleans them every morning and night and put them back in his mouth. He doesn't use anything to keep his dentures in like fixodent etc. they seem to fit him perfectly and they don't slip while eating or talking. He has had dentures since his early thirties due to an accident that caused him to lose his teeth. He' in his 50's now and looks Great!
I sleep with my dentures in my mouth for 25 years I went to the dentist and they can't believe how much bone I had I think it helps to sleep with them in your mouth in my case
I will be getting full dentures soon when I get them I plan to wear them as much as possible even at night. Im 61 ... My Mom is 83 and had dentures since her early 30s she only has them out for about 30 min to 1 hour per day. She uses no adhesive because the gums adjust to the denture. Take them out clean them good and brush during the day.
@@bobpoland6042 I’m 59 and I’ve had partial bottom plate combined with full top but the partials have always failed and I’ve had 3 .. I just don’t bother anymore with partials as they are just a waste of money .. imo
Thank you! I started wearing a partial at age 26 now I'm almost 35 and I knew my husband was THE one when he didn't not only not care but also accepted me and the way I look now. I believe that by talking about this stuff we can help normalize it. I appreciate that, always, your videos are amazing.
Getting my dentures soon, I'm 15 years old btw turning 16 this year. I got extracted 4 of my front teeth. I am waiting for my 2 extra tooth to shift down into missing teeth and I could finally get my dentures. So insecure with my smile. This video is so helpful! Thank you so much!
My father too. I thought it was weird, but he only takes them out a few times a week. He's been doing it for 30 years. At 79, he's also as healthy as a horse.
I've had a partial with hardly any of my own teeth on top for 7 years and today I got a full top denture. I've never taken my denture/partial out when I sleep, but id also never heard any of what you said in this video. It makes so much sense so I guess I'm going toothless at night from now on. Thank you so much!!
I have never taken my dentures out other than to clean them never had any problems and have had dentures for over 40 years and my dentist says I've got good bone in top and lower.
Bone gets reabsorbed by the body when it's not stressed. The same way lifting weights fights bone density loss as we age, eating tougher foods keeps healthy bone in the mouth. People who just avoid eating things like steak because they have dentures will lose bone a lot faster. I clean mine nightly, the soak takes 8 minutes, brush the gums, and put them back in. 17 years and no issues. I tried leaving them out once and when I put them in the next day I immediately realized how bad a idea that was.
I have also got mine two days ago and have decided m gonna sleep wth them won't take them out except when I need to clean them just that time Nd will put them back on
Why aren't more people talking about failed implants??? I personally know of two people that had such trouble that ended up having surgery to remove them 😔 now having to go back to regular dentures they regret ever being talked into getting them. They battled with multitudes of infection in the gum....Sudden deep pounding headaches from the titanium implants being toxic to the body so the body rejects them. They are now heavily promoting ceramic implants which are Zarconia material which are not as strong as metal and Crack and break !!! Full dentures is the way to go 👌
Just took my first step on the journey, thank you for helping with your videos, they gave comfort knowing I was not alone, encouragement that life can be better again! Tips and advice that are so helpful. Thank you again, you are a lovely lady!
I've watched your videos for several years and gained both knowledge and inspiration from you. A heart felt thank you as your words of encouragement convinced this dental chicken to get all on 4 implants a couple weeks ago, a big shout out to Valium, several actually, for relaxing me enough to remain in the chair without restraints. It really didn't hurt but it was not pleasant by any means, I'm just glad I'm on this side of the procedure. I have my temp dentures in until my mouth heals and the permanent ones are put in. The temps look good but not very comfortable and I hate having the roof of my mouth covered up. I keep worrying I'm going to sneeze and projectile launch my chompers across the room. I would recommend anyone to do this as it is life changing at least for me it has been so far. It's not affordable by any means but it had to happen. It's like having a monthly car payment for a Lexus but without the car. Thanks again you really did help me.
New subscriber here 👋. I had my extractions a week ago. I'm still very sore and honestly I was feeling like I made a mistake. Not anymore! Your video really helped me with some of the anxiety and frustration. I am slowwwly adjusting. Thank you again for speaking with honesty and encouragement. I'm looking forward to smiling without worry. I'm so glad I finally did this for myself!
@@angelaschaefer5883 you can do it. I'm almost 3 months in and I am completely adjusted to my lowers. My dentist made me a new upper and I am still getting used to it. I will suggest bringing a photo of how you expect them to look. I'm still so glad I did this for myself. Good luck ✌️🙏
Once you get through the process ... I still have a little trouble with my bottom plate because I have such a narrow / thin / small (?) gum line which I knew going in. It's 2 years now with my permanent denture. But! Where I used to have a "crooked" smile - no more! The tech at Aspen Dental took a couple pictures and I don't know what she did but I'm not afraid to smile anymore! Oh 1 thing: don't buy into the Dawn dishwashing soap to clean them. It doesn't remove tartar from the denture - then they still need regular cleaning. An old dentist told my sister they are taught in dental school how to make money with root canals and cleanings.
I generally soak mine with Polident and never sleep with them overnight. If I take a nap during the day I don't take them out tho. But overnight is good to give your mouth a break.
I’m so glad I found this video she hits all concerns-😢 glad there’s women out there that completely understand how this subject makes us feel😊THANK YOU FOR THIS
Thank you..I always soak my upper denture at night..Ive been following up for a long time & always look forward to your videos..P.S. I live alone so perhaps its easier for me to be without my denture during sleep..Wish I had gone with implants but at age 68 I guess a denture is ok...
I have worn dentures for 50 years and have never slept without them and have never had any of the issues you describe in your video. I am on my second set and wish I could find a dentist as good as the one you had for your dentures! If you hadn't said they are dentures I would have thought they are your real teeth!
That girl does not have dentures I can almost bet on it. I’ve never had a problem and hardly ever have mine out. The only thing that was suggested to me was to at least leave them out for 10-15 minutes every day. I sometimes soak them overnight but rarely
To each there own.....my Sister has full dentures...no implants for 20 years and never ever sleeps WITHOUT them she's healthier than ever....never got thrush or other bacteria that is mentioned in this video.. .she wears adhesives as well and just focuses on keeping them clean three times daily. My Mother had partials and slept with them as well for over 30 years and just focused on cleaning after every meal.
@@snookerb6777BS. People who brush dentures and rinse mouth with listerine after eating any meal wake up with better breath than ones who leave their teeth in a cup of nasty water overnight. People who don’t have dentures need to NOT comment cause they know nothing about them.
Wrong. The bone does not shrink. It's exactly the opposite. The dentures overnight, keeps the bone tissue right and the structure tight. Don't mix "bad" healthcare ( not cleaning the mouth and dentures daily like regular teeth) and nasty unhygienic behaviour with "bone loss". Wearing my dentures every day and night BUT I also CLEAN regularly.
My grandma wore them for over 30 y rs and she has always slept in hers also and kept them nice and clean with no problems.all info is not good info just because someone told her that.just like 88%of implants fails but was hidden from society.i say so what's right for you.my grandmother is living PROFF.
@@tesathompson35 I don't get why people are so freaked out about how you would keep dentures clean if you don't take them out at night, but nobody questions how Kalinjax would keep this contraption that is screwed into her jaw clean? Just like nobody questions how children keep all of the metal we stuff into their mouths (braces, appliances) clean. It just shows how brainwashed society is by the implant pushers. I don't get why it would be gross if sleep with your dentures in. Just freaking clean them before you go to bed as you would with real teeth. I mean...duh? All the people that screech how you need to take them out also wear adhesive and want implants...hmmm?
I tried taking mine out at night in the beginning but I grind my teeth in my sleep and doing that without teeth in led to a severe case of TMJ and migraines. Now I have the Karadent material dentures which isn't porous, and wearing them at night after the TCS soak for 15 minutes before I go to bed is what my dentist recommended.
I have a partial and i wear it 24 hours on day. If i take it out of mouth by night it make me sick in the morning. So in my case i completly disagree with you. I have front teeth so i dont have problems with estetick. Lern to eat on the way that you dont push to much pressure on gums, i do complete mouth cleaning every day in the moring, and before night with mouthwash. By the day i clean my teeth and partial denture with regular toothbrush. I take it out 'partial denture' only in the morning. Its ok to sleep with denture if you clean it every morning. Some doctors and dentis are saying that is good to sleep with it,, some say that is not,.. Its completly on you to decide what option will you practice. if you apply denture glue properly, food will not get under your dentures. Every day I smell the denture in the morning to see if i dont have any kind of infection, and since I have been using the denture adhesive I have not smelled a bad smell, so the adhesive blocks the entry of food.
Bone loss has little to do with blood flow since the denture shouldn't be constantly squeezing the gum. You lose bone density when bone is not stressed IE eating too many soft foods which becomes a habit with people who have sore gums. They should be soaked and cleaned daily but my tablets take 8 minutes for the soak. Otherwise mouthwash and regular oral care, brush the gums, etc.
So its better to eat normal foods/ hard ones to slow down bone loss ? That wouldnt hurt the gum by putting much bite force when wearing one, correct me if im wrong
I had 13 extractions 5 weeks ago. My gums are healing well and I am planning to get my top denture and bottom partial at the end of this month. I am watching videos to get some tips things I should know about having dentures and a partial. I still have 7 good teeth on the bottom. Thank you for the information.
I asked my dentist if I needed to take dentures out at night or if it was ok to sleep in them he said it's completely optional and my choice, whatever I feel comfortable with. He's been a dentist for over 50 years, still practicing in his 70's, so I'm guessing he knows a thing or two.
You’re dentist is one of the Good ones. I’ve slept in mine an used listerine mouthwash for 60 years. Still have a healthy mouth and tongue. Cleanliness has much to do with it.
@@SouthernBell0077 I've tried sleeping with them and without them. What I found was that if I leave them out all night, my remaining natural teeth move and I have a hard time getting the denture back in. I have a partial and it hooks around my existing teeth. So I'm sleeping in them.
Oh, it's so nice to take out my dentures any chance I can, especially at night. I don't even need to use adhesive because they stay in with natural suction.
I grind my teeth at night and still have my bottom teeth. Wearing mine during sleep is necessary. I take them out for a few hours in the morning while getting ready.
Did/do you use a mouth guard at night also? And what did you do for the grinding while still healing from extractions in the beginning? I'm struggling. I have to have them in to sleep or my bottom teeth hit the top stiched gums. Nothing it helping ATM. I'm in pain all night long. As soon as I wake, I get them out of my mouth. Any advise I'm desperate for relief. I have two night guards I got from pharmacy but neither fit right. I also have tried gauze rolled up.... It kinda helps but I'm still grinding and the pressure is causing me grief. 😢
@@lickitysplits832 I'm so sorry you are having issues. I have slept in mine since day one and still do. It has been a couple of years now and have had no problems. I take them out in the morning while i shower and get ready then clean them and put them back in. My dentist wasn't worried about it. In the beginning I would take an advil before bed and that seemed to help. I still get sore jaws but only during the day when stressed and clenching. I hope this helps. Also if you position your head on your pillow tilted like you are looking at your headboard it helps to keep you from clenching.
Yes ,it sounds like a good ideal to take them out at night time ,I used to grind my teeth while I slept ( according to my wife !) So it must be true , I used to leave them soaking ,but guess I won't now ! Always good to get advice about making life easier with my " new teeth " ,I am so thankful to my dental guy ,Craig ( a legend !) Most off all ,NO MORE TOOTH PAIN !!!
i slept in them the first week or 2 just to get used to em faster but after that i been soaking them and if you soak em without digging the adhesive out first than it rinses right off in morning
i dont see how keeping dentures in would be much different than an implant, you never take your implants out and thats basically all fixed implants are is a denture stabilized by implants how is that different than keeping a denture in?
I looked at 8 videos to find what I needed to know and this is the one I needed to hear. I'm soon to get all my back bottom teeth pulled and I needed this info. Thank you and now I'm subscribing
My dentist recommends taking them out at night for many of the reasons you listed. One you missed is a choking hazard should they come loose while sleeping. He recommends against soaking. Maybe differences in the materials. Instead he recommends brushing them 3 times a day with Dial antibacterial soap.
I was told Dawn soap - HOWEVER the tabet soaking removes any tartar build up. Might be another way to keep you coming back for cleanings ... for his benefit ($$$).
Thank you, Snow! It’s not an easy thing to talk about because I know what it’s like to have to take your teeth out but this is the info that’s out there. 🙏
What do you do in the military in the field then? Totally not practical to remove them. I’ve had mine for 50 years and always sleep with them in and have ever had an issue.
Just got upper denture last week looking for advice by somebody on TH-cam found you. Biggest problem right now is gums hurting when I eat. Hopefully that will go away in time. I keep them in all day take out near bedtime.
Thanks K, for sharing so much info on this topic. Your comments on dentures being porous sparked a question. Are crowns porous too and if so could many diseases be attributed to full mouth crowns?
Thank you for this information. My Prosthodontist insisted that I remove my denture for at least 6-8 hours a day.My denture is new and I'me a first time denture wearer and I've had very little trouble with them, in fact the only trouble I had was the first three weeks I had an abrasion form them and he adjusted it and my denture now feels almost like a natural set of teeth. I use an adhesive and this makes it secure and eating and speaking is really quite easy. the metal plate going across my front lower teeth is odd but it gives my tongue something to play with! One thing I find is that after a day's worth of wearing them usually for more than 12 hours, I'm glad to get them out of my mouth. It's like compression stockings, they feel great when you put them on but after a long day they start to feel annoying and "lumpy" It also give the upper molars a rest to not be abutted up to the molars on the partial
I have partial top and bottom plates , I was told by my dentist not to wear them going to bed , he specifically said not to, I brush my teeth and dentures every morning and then, then soak them after I've finished brushing, when I eat I take my dentures out and clean them, you be surprised how much food gets under your plate
Just want to say thank you. Learning so much from you. I am in the process of getting upper anchored dentures. I had my upper teeth pulled the end of May and now have a temporary denture while I heal. I go back in August for some kind of imagining or something. In Sept. I get the implants in.
Don’t make my mistake…proven most implants fail because “dentist” not qualified “surgeon “ operating…like asking your GP to do face lift….any dentist can put out sign stating “cosmetic”…my dentist Botbol, Toronto, caused ONC…then told m3 bye…nothing I can do for you…don’t even think of suing….dental association is the policy holder…complaints go nowhere…best of luck….
It is imperative to clean them overnight! First of all it is just gross if you don’t get all of that bacteria off. I have a denture on the top and my temporary implant arch on the bottom. I take out the denture and soak overnight. I also use my water pic to clean the lower arch and brush my tongue and cheeks. People I know it sucks to look at yourself with no teeth but you can’t be running around with gross smelly bacteria stuck to your dentures. Yikes!
It is what it is! It sucks! None of us wanted dentures in the first place but here we are so we have to take care of them. I really didn't think time of day mattered but now I see there are other factors involved. I'm not sure how much weight those factors hold but it's still worth mentioning. Literally just realized you can get gum disease with no teeth! Like how did I not know that already?!
My brother sleeps in his and has been doing so for 18 years with no problems. He takes them out each morning to clean them while he’s getting dressed . My mother takes hers out each night and lets them soak. It seems as if some can get away with it while others can’t or shouldn’t try. I take mine out before going to bed. I hate being without them though.
Just had 11 teeth extracted & lower 'immediate denture' installed. Pain for my procedure was less than expected (had gas first then knocked out, Novocain used also). 24 hours later still bleeding, now have 'don't touch me' pains, even with Tylenol with codeine, if denture is moved AT ALL in the mouth. I'm not taking them out for cleaning until bleeding stops for at least 24 hours.
I’ve had my dentures for 3 weeks….can’t sleep with them in. Wow. I can’t get used to them. My ten titanium implants have to heal to September…still kind of somber losing my top teeth. Still can’t eat hardly anything good. Thanks for the upload
Follow up… Good to see you again! It’s been 6 months now and I never did get used to my temporary dentures and now I have a little over 2 weeks left until I start with my implants process!!! September couldn’t get here soon enough!!
@@xerilaun I wish I could have started the implant process sooner. I love my Apollonia implants. I can eat anything now. I could probably bite a piece off an old boot now. I would like to get my bottom teeth implants now but the good doctor says they’re still strong, but actually I’m going to start the process of a bottom back molar implant now. Bone graft, titanium post implant then cap $2,300
I sleep with my lower partial dentures at night. Ofcourse I clean them and brush my teeth multiple times in 24 hours. I let them soak for an hour or two daily in the morning while I am showering and getting ready to go to work. This covers the part where some say that my gums need to breathe. But after that, for most of the time, they stay in my mouth where they belong.
Hi kalin , I’ve been searching the internet and sure glad I found you , I’m in such a dilemma, I have bad bone loss and was looking at implants but they kinda scare me with all the things that can go wrong, I’m finding it hard as to who or what sort of dentist I need to ask about removing my remaining teeth and having dentures and which are best to ask for . ? Im In the uk so I know it’s not as advanced as 🇺🇸 but is it an expert in periodontal disease or an orthodontist or?? Whose best to see really appreciate any feedback thank you Heather
I heard a lot of bad things about implants. For example, after you spend so much money on implants if your body rejects them, you’ll become ill and you have no idea that your body is rejecting them. Also a lot of infections. Then you have to remove them and start all over with dentures. Those two alone made us decide that my husband go with dentures. He just got them today and they look amazing!
I'm about to get all 20 teeth extracted and have the immediate denture places while I wait for the permanent dentures. How do I clean the immediate dentures, what supplies will I need? I've been so somber about this because I'm 38 and I wore braces for 4 years almost and 3 kids later, my teeth just started falling apart on me.
I see that many people in the comments say that they sleep in their dentures and don’t have any issues such as bone loss. My mom has slept in her dentures since her 30s, she is now 61 and doesn’t have any bone left in her mouth. Her dentures are too big for her and the only way she can get new dentures if she gets bone grafting . Everyone is different so sleeping in dentures works for some but not all.
My dentist gives no instructions for new denture wearers except for "wear them for 24 hours, then do not sleep in them. I had to harp on him for the most basic of care, including how to take them out.
I take mine out at night. My husband said it didn't bother him to see me without my teeth and that he wanted me to be comfortable. I still get the cracks at the sides of my mouth. The doctor said it was angular cheilitis and I have to use a cream to get it to go away.
You got a great husband! I’ve had angular cheilitis. I actually mentioned it by name in the video but realized after that I pronounced the name wrong so I edited it out haha! That stuff is no fun!

As someone who is facing getting full dentures, I want thank you for your video. I am elderly male, so please forgive me for asking this question, approximately what is your age? You do not have to be exact.
Thank you so much for being so informative and strightforward I saw a youtuber who is 27 with dentrures who was telling people to wear them 24/7 and I made sure to dislike n tell ppl in the comments DO NOT do that unless specified by a dentist
I figure that if you grind your teeth at night as a child on up till you finally lost them all, like me, you will likely grind your dentures at night while you are wearing them too. Like I do. I always take them out at night because of that fact, and also for the fact that I am much more comfortable at night not having them in there.
I have upper and lower partial and at the top i have two caped teeth that when taking my denture out at night my top lip does put pressure on the two teeth that is why i sleep with it in. Am i just being paranoid that it will make it loose if i take my denture out at night.
It does, not all information on the internet is accurate. You need to do your own research and ask your own dentist. My dentist contradicted the information in this video. If you read through the comments you wont find one example of someone having problems from sleeping in their dentures, but lots of examples of people who have slept in them for years and been fine. Of course they need to be cleaned regularly, but that's all.
i was told the first day to leave them in until the next day (until i went back to the dentist) and then i was told "if your shoes are off, your feet are up and you are asleep, take them out" LOL he told me the gums need to rest!!! good advice!!!!
So, I have a genuine question. I’ve heard conflicting things about immediate partials. I’ve seen some dentists saying to sleep with them in for 1-2 weeks, some 2-3 days and so on. What one is right? Why the discrepancies? I’m going into my 4th night with my immediates and have no idea what the protocol is supposed to me.
Took 4 months to get mine,, first time i sneezed i had my top plate in my hand,, thankfully i had my hand over my mouth,, or they would have shot across the room 😅🤣🤪😃🙂

Ew.
They are not made as good as they were back in the day …we do clean them but omg not going to leave them out all night ..lol you never know 😖😂😂😂😂

I 💯 agree.so do what u feel.my grandma did it also for over 30 yrs and she is just fine.
You leave them in, it doesn't make since if you have implants. They are left in.
I sleep with my dentures in my mouth for 25 years I went to the dentist and they can't believe how much bone I had I think it helps to sleep with them in your mouth in my case
I’m the same
I will be getting full dentures soon when I get them I plan to wear them as much as possible even at night. Im 61 ...
My Mom is 83 and had dentures since her early 30s she only has them out for about 30 min to 1 hour per day. She uses no adhesive because the gums adjust to the denture. Take them out clean them good and brush during the day.

Dad had denture s at 25 now 84 never sleeps with out them . Never had a problem.
Really ?
My father too. I thought it was weird, but he only takes them out a few times a week. He's been doing it for 30 years. At 79, he's also as healthy as a horse.
As someone who's just starting their denture journey, thank you so, so, so very much for all the great info you're sharing.
@@slimjim7411 may i ask why it was a bad idea please?

Why aren't more people talking about failed implants??? I personally know of two people that had such trouble that ended up having surgery to remove them 😔 now having to go back to regular dentures they regret ever being talked into getting them. They battled with multitudes of infection in the gum....Sudden deep pounding headaches from the titanium implants being toxic to the body so the body rejects them. They are now heavily promoting ceramic implants which are Zarconia material which are not as strong as metal and Crack and break !!! Full dentures is the way to go 👌
My mom has had few implants fail. But she likes them. She is,76 as for me dentures are good.
Just took my first step on the journey, thank you for helping with your videos, they gave comfort knowing I was not alone, encouragement that life can be better again! Tips and advice that are so helpful. Thank you again, you are a lovely lady!
Felt the same way and I just found this video
I have put it off because I am scared. But I know I will be better off. Once it is done.
Thanks for still watching! Glad you still enjoy the videos. ♥️

I have worn dentures for 50 years and have never slept without them and have never had any of the issues you describe in your video. I am on my second set and wish I could find a dentist as good as the one you had for your dentures! If you hadn't said they are dentures I would have thought they are your real teeth!
My mother went to a “ denturist “ to get replacement dentures due to Dentist usually send impression to a denturist lab then fit them into your mouth
That girl does not have dentures I can almost bet on it. I’ve never had a problem and hardly ever have mine out. The only thing that was suggested to me was to at least leave them out for 10-15 minutes every day. I sometimes soak them overnight but rarely
She has implants but her previous videos show her from before dentures to temps to permanents to implants

ME TO. OVER 50 YEARS!
Most beautiful lady. I have my dentures from a local denture clinic and am as pleased as I can be. Keep up the good work!

I asked my dentist if I needed to take dentures out at night or if it was ok to sleep in them he said it's completely optional and my choice, whatever I feel comfortable with. He's been a dentist for over 50 years, still practicing in his 70's, so I'm guessing he knows a thing or two.

In the beginning I would take an advil before bed and that seemed to help. I still get sore jaws but only during the day when stressed and clenching. I hope this helps. Also if you position your head on your pillow tilted like you are looking at your headboard it helps to keep you from clenching.

i dont see how keeping dentures in would be much different than an implant, you never take your implants out and thats basically all fixed implants are is a denture stabilized by implants how is that different than keeping a denture in?

My dentist recommends taking them out at night for many of the reasons you listed. One you missed is a choking hazard should they come loose while sleeping.
He recommends against soaking. Maybe differences in the materials. Instead he recommends brushing them 3 times a day with Dial antibacterial soap.
I was told Dawn soap - HOWEVER the tabet soaking removes any tartar build up. Might be another way to keep you coming back for cleanings ... for his benefit ($$$).
If they fit snug I can’t imagine how they would “ choke” anyone. Lol
It's so good of you to educate people about this. You're doing great things 👍

Thank you Soooo much you are really helping me,im only two months in. Is so worth it and I'm still in immediate dentures. 😃
Great information! I wanted to know the risks and reasons. Thanks
You can’t meet a hot girl and take your dentures out. Imma have to sleep with them lol.
Hi How many years can we wear dentures ? Means it will be fit at the age 100 years ?
Thank you for the information; I never thought about it. Educational video 😇👍

New denture wearer. I definitely take mines out before sleep. Idc what my mate thinks. 🤷🏾♀️

Thank you.
Thanks. Any information is good.
I have upper and lower partial and at the top i have two caped teeth that when taking my denture out at night my top lip does put pressure on the two teeth that is why i sleep with it in. Am i just being paranoid that it will make it loose if i take my denture out at night.
About the pressure on bones, I thought the pressure from chewing stopped bone loss???
It does, not all information on the internet is accurate. You need to do your own research and ask your own dentist. My dentist contradicted the information in this video. If you read through the comments you wont find one example of someone having problems from sleeping in their dentures, but lots of examples of people who have slept in them for years and been fine. Of course they need to be cleaned regularly, but that's all.

Good to know
What do you think about snap on dentures vs fixed
So, I have a genuine question. I’ve heard conflicting things about immediate partials. I’ve seen some dentists saying to sleep with them in for 1-2 weeks, some 2-3 days and so on. What one is right? Why the discrepancies?
I’m going into my 4th night with my immediates and have no idea what the protocol is supposed to me.
I sleep with mine for over 30 years
Thank you for this video!!❤❤❤
I soak my dentures nightly with tabs. They work really good.
Hopefully I get my full set today.
Took 4 months to get mine,,
first time i sneezed i had my top plate in my hand,, thankfully i had my hand over my mouth,, or they would have shot across the room
