It’s such a fun car, I love shiny cars too, but there’s something about being able to beat on them without guilt 😂

Hey man I just found your channel and wanted to say I really enjoy watching your videos, specifically the Golden nugget ones. You production is pretty good, your commentary is nice and not too much and you don't try to act like you know it all. Really hope your channel does well and keep up the great work!

Not sure if you give out this kind of advise or not, but do you have any recommendations on cleaning up some aluminum wheels on an old 1990 Chevy C1500? They're old and showing their age, I'd just like to clean them up some without doing something that might mess them up somehow.

Those ones are tough, because they’re clear coated. Once the corrosion starts under the clear they pretty much need to be stripped right to bare aluminum and polished, or just sand and paint

John I hope you know that anytime you work around na cam you have to use a brake in oil that is high in zink because that is what will happen? All work and no play makes for very unhappy person !

Yep, used a ton of assembly lube, and always run high zinc oil in these engines. The cheap manufacturing of these engine parts has been an epidemic with engine builders in the last few years. Friggin $200 set of lifters is now going to cost me several thousand 🤦🏻‍♂️

I had the same thing happen to cam and lifters in my Camaro 3 years ago...complete rebuild...I know your pain...I've since found out that flat tappet cams getting to be a big issue with this..Ive been using Lucas Hot Rod oil.....

I would contact them and tell them you may have to send them back but it's worth a shot, never know it may pay off, back in the early 2000 a buddy of mine built me a 415 SBC with a lot of after market parts the cam and lifter even a rotating assembly came from Howard Cams and the lifters that was in the kit ran all year, now im talking dirt car circle track and went to change the cam and lifter to a roller and had to literally knock the out of the block with a hammer and punch, I had to send them back but they stood good for everything and sold me a cam lifters springs new locks and retainers plugs the stud girdle and new Polly locks for $800 so I was happy with how they handled it !
