For a young man you have a very impressive skill set. The fact that you're using that skill set to to build machines that give folks a glimpse back to the early days of motorcycling as also very impressive.
Don't mind all that other stuff. Anyone who will re-spoke their own wheel has my full respect from the jump. Great work, creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication.
very nice build. I noticed in a reply above you are a engineer. It is good to see one who can actually build something. I really liked your solution to connecting the drive sprocket. That was some nice bridgeport work.
Gosh i love that bike. Douglas we gotta take a ride sometime on our bikes man. Mines been working pretty good lately thanks to you. Plus if you ever need an extra hand in your work shop im always free. - Geoff
anybody that has to question something about this build doesn't get it. magnificent job man especially the way the lifan motor was fitted. cheers brotha
It's so refreshing to see a young engineer who still can visualize things..Your craftsmanship is impeccable..I wish you all the best and many happy hours motoring...Next question is WHATS NEXT ?
Fun fun fun . . . Just subscribed . . . I'm impressed with your abilities at your age . . . quite commendable ! I'm an old 'geezer' . . .ex aerospace machinist, surveyor, bit of a design engineer, rock faceter, . . .wish I had access to machinery when I was younger ! Now I'm getting into metalcasting . . .so I can make anything I need . . . who needs cash ? . . . oh yeah . . the banksters . . take care ! . . . and keep the vids coming ! Thanks
Fantastic job. You really captured the spirit, especially by building it yourself. I'd love to ride it. And thanks for using "I Remember", one of Kaskade's best.
those 125cc lifan engines are the best for small bike projects, i got a 250cc V-twin one and stuck it into my mud bike, the ones from Canadian tire with the briggs engine in it.
All homebuilt with pride , knowledge and tons of hours ,attention to detail and perfection, keep at it as you'll soon be another burt Monroe(home tuner that set one heck if a land speed record)
Loved the bike and the skill it took to build it however whoever done the camera work needs some help . I would have enjoyed it a lot more if it hadn't jerking around so much ! Other than that though I thought it was great !!
Thanks man. I checked your bike out and is beautiful. I hope to build my own engine one day like you. Ive been wanting to do it for so long now but is going to be even harder for me now i lost all my tools, No lathe or mill anymore. I know though's two combined i could fabricate a custom 1900s style engine. Ive made non working single cylinder engines before only for display. Hopefully i will do the real deal next. We all have to start somewhere don't we. cheers from Doug
Nice. I want to do one but I already have more projects than I can handle. In case you do another, websites that sell cruiser bikes have some cool springer front ends that would be perfect for board trackers.
With that kind of talent you would think someone could set you up with an period type engine and you could go racing. Might be worth the effort to circulate this video.
I love all of ur bike projects keep the good work i likes to see more beachcruiser projects im working on my Micargi at the beginning of the 2014 year Just to get some ideas!!!! :-)

Wow what an amazing build! Do you have a blog somewhere or a build thread on some forum? where we could follow your steps and get more info on the specs? specs like engine, frame, hub..etc. Thanks and keep up the awesome work!
Awesome!! Great job, really! May I ask if/how you put brakes on it? I know the real board track racers didn't have any, but if I were to build a replica (thing that I'm willing to do sooner or later) I would prefer to have some sort of braking system.
вот смотрю я на вас американцы и думаю о том, что если бы у меня было столько инструмента. то я по выходным летал-бы в космос.на собственноручно изготовленом папелаце ъ
Beautiful job, finished product looks awesome. I'm really curious though, why you would make those filler plates out of brass.. only to paint them black?
Doug GREAT job ! What bike frame did you chop & modify at the start of this project. I bought the same engine with the same plan as you. But I,m looking for a donor bike?

Or that much skill in machining their own parts!
Re-spoking is messy. I want to try it someday
