    When you think about it Anakin spent his time as a Padawan in an era of peace, as did Obi-Wan and most other Jedi. Ahsoka didn't have that, she spent her teenage years, her latter Padawan years at war, she was at war when she left the Jedi order, she was at war when she became a young woman. While a typical Jedi get's to finish their training before going off to their duties as a knight, Ahsoka's training was on the battlefield.

    I never realized until I started watching everyone react to the episode, but Ahsoka crosses her arms in unconscious imitation of her master. That moment when she and Anakin are standing together on Mandalore was when it finally clicked. She's been doing that since the second season of TCW if I remember correctly, and now it suddenly makes sense. The fact that Rosario was doing that in her first appearance in The Mandalorian does credit to her interpretation of the character.

    I think that really was Anakin as a Force ghost. He admitted he didn't recognize the Siege of Mandalore and he appeared there as a mentor to train her further. It's also clearly post-RotJ Anakin because he's clearly mastered using both the dark side and the light side of the Force (being the chosen one, after all).

      I saw in a video somewhere that Anakin has transcended and become a being akin to the Ones (the Father) or even the Force priestesses. His ability to pull Ashoka into the WBW and alter aspects of that place, shift their physical appearances, lightsabers, surroundings, as well as to summon and then cast off the Vader persona suggests whatever Anakin has become he can wield the Force far beyond the abilities of any Jedi at this point. Remember that this was not just an illusion in Ashoka's mind...it actually happened because Jaden sensed it.

    Those scenes with Anakin were absolutely PERFECT! When he ignited that red lightsaber I literally said “oh shit.” Some of those lightsaber hits just reminded you have how powerful he was. Those flashes between him and Vader gave me chills. With that armor he looked EXACTLY like Clone Wars Anakin. Hayden was on a whole other level of epicness and I loved every single second of it.
    Something else that I want to make sure is highlighted is the music. It was perfect and fit those scenes very, very well.
    I love how Ashoka seemed more hopeful when she woke up. Like she FELT like the Ashoka that we have always known. That scene with the Purrgil was glorious. The ending of this episode felt like the end of Empire Strikes Back. “Don’t worry, we’ll find them.”
    I can see why they showed this in theaters. Some of those shots were so cinematically epic. For real, Dave Filoni needs to be in charge of everything Star Wars. This was probably some of my favorite Star Wars ever!

      This show makes me want Hayden to have a significant part in training future actors to do good saber choreography.
      While I personally enjoy many aspects of the sequels(Unpopular stance, I know), I'll be the first to admit the saber fights in the sequel trilogy are typically, at best, aggressively mediocre.

    • @JAIstarkillerkid
      @JAIstarkillerkid 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@JAIstarkillerkid Star Wars is a space fantasy series with magic, laser swords, space travel, dozens of humanoid alien types and planets, and planet-sized space stations.
      You will forgive me if I do not look for much realism in the fight scenes involving said laser swords when wielded by people who use space magic.
      Practicality in lightsaber fights, in my opinion, should take a back seat to ensuring all fighters have a unique style, the fights portray those styles clashing, and it should be aesthetically pleasing to watch.
      As realistic as the Rey vs Kylo fights may be, and don't get me wrong, they do have some good moments, they feel clumsy by comparison, closer to the OT saber fights, which are a stark downgrade from the prequel fights.
      "Realistic" lightsaber duels would essentially just be pure fencing. There'd be no need for any wide swings, and they would, in fact, be deeply impractical.

    • @JAIstarkillerkid
      @JAIstarkillerkid 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@perrycarters3113 I'm going to argue that they are proper fights built with dramatic intent, and the fight with the guards in TLJ was theatrical and sublime. I much prefer them. They harken back to the base the original fights were constructed on, measured samurai duels, as opposed to the Wuxia influence of the prequels. The sequel encounters are raw and savage, which I loved. You have your preference, I have mine.
      And, as a logical counter, "clumsy" is fine since Neither Rey nor Kylo had any REAL proper training (Luke didn't either) while the culture of technique on display in the prequels was the culmination of centuries.
      And, yes indeed, the prequel fights ARE showy and entirely impractical.

    After seeing Ahsoka having a moment of catharsis with her master, and letting go of her guilt and pain to more fully embrace the Light Side, Rosario Dawson now truly has become the Ahsoka we remember from Clone Wars!
    I loved how this episode showed the more of the fact that Ahsoka was sadly both a Jedi AND a child soldier. What’s more is that while while the Jedi were taught to not form attachments to people, she and her master clearly cared for not just their men but their friends and family. And while Anakin failed and fell to the Dark Side because he couldn’t let go of those he loved, Ahsoka succeeded and not only learned to let go and move on, she has now risen and has now become tied with Luke Skywalker for me as the greatest Jedi of life time.

    On the second skirmish, Anakin came later and said, "I don't know this battle".
    Yup, that's because he wasn't there at the Battle in Sieged Mandalorian, as Dustin pointed out.
    He was at the Coruscant and about to embrace his dark path to become Vader. That's why his next saber was red.
    He then gave two options to Ahsoka, win and killing the foe (Anakin) or lost and possibly killed in the duel.
    But she chose to win and forgive. Forgive Anakin, forgive her past and forgive any wrongdoing.

    I think the 1st time Huyang said that it was about Ahsoka and Sabine, the repeat of the line was a lamentation of all the Jedi he was on a mission with over 25000 years that died because they didn't listen to an old droid.

Kudos to everyone's acting here, and thanks Dave, for gifting us this special relationship between Anakin and Ahsoka! Hayden nailed Matt's Ani and showed us his fighting skills are still SO GOOD! I'm so happy for Hayden.!! Anakin has become a fan favorite for many star wars fans mostly because of the CWS.... And I feel like Hayden never got the recognition he deserved.. Anakin is his character, .. Plus seeing him as a mentor to young soka was amazing.... I almost wanted to cry... Both actors did such a good job capturing the dynamic between Anakin and ahsoka... I would LOVE to see more of that...

    Ariana Greenblat… the queen of the young character IP… young Ahsoka, young Gamora…
    I don’t want a n explanation of what that was… keeping the World Between Worlds as such an enigma is really more interesting and very much keeping it up to interpretation. I think that’s more fun.

    Ahsoka was barely a teenager when she became Anakin's padawn. She literally grew up in the middle of a horrible war that turned out to be nothing more than trap for the Jedi Order. Even as conflicted as she was about the Jedi, having them slaughtered the way they were BY ANAKIN... Ouch. Yeah. She is a mess. She is good, dedicated and skilled, but she HAD to face this.
    She did. Props to Hayden, Rosario and the girl who played Young Ahsoka. This Was AWESOME!

    I think Anakin pooled Ahsoka's Soul into the world between worlds Because she was SO close to death; like an out of body experience.
    Reason I say this is because in episode, four obi wan said that if you struck me down, I'll come more powerful than you can possibly imagine So when Anakin can died in return of the same happened' and I think that was a fusion of Anakin and Vader Which is why he flashed between the 2.
    And that was the circus equivalent of going into the cave on Dagoba.

    I have noticed what I think may be a clue to the Ahsoka series. When looking at the title card graphic 'Ahsoka", I see within the 'O' of the name Ahsoka a pathway, like in the WBW's, leading to a portal. You can see it if you follow the line, or path, from the bottom of the 'O' to the center, where there is a larger solid circle, the portal. When she reaches the Peridia Galaxy 'alone' and faces the challenges there, I would not be surprised if Ahsoka finds herself in a desperate and hopeless situation where everything she cares about is crumbling down around her. Will she walk that path? Will she step through the portal? Will she cause a shift that would have a dramatic effect on the Star Wars universe?

    Remember how the lightsaber battles in ESB and ROTJ felt so good because there was emotional *weight* to them... that's what this feels like. It's not flashy fighting for the sake, there's story to be told through the fights - and the choosing *not* to fight.

    Word has it Anakin shows up for 7 and 8. We also have that dialogue of him talking to Ahsoka that we heard in that one TV spot trailer that was released. He most likely speaks to her encouragingly in a time of need, much like Obi-Wan to Luke as a force ghost/voice. We have yet to hear that new Hayden dialogue from the trailer, so obviously with rumors of 7 and 8 still having Anakin in some way, shape, or form. I can conclude it must happen in a time of need to Ahsoka, etc. Maybe more flashbacks as Ahsoka thinks on things? Who knows!

    George Lucas said the most powerful force user is Luke then Vader. Luke has more flesh than Vader thus he has more Midichlorians in his body make his connect stronger to the force...Ahsoka's power level is "up there" around their level according to George. Knowing this information I believe, Ahsoka's fear is that she is as or more powerful than Anakin because he trained her an is apart of his Legacy. She always been holding back not going all-in in fear of turning to the dark-side like Anakin did. It's why she hesitate with Sabine training in fear she'll pass it on.JMO

    Do you believe Ahsoka's test is similar to Luke's test? Luke gave into his fear, anger and hatred. In Ahsoka's case, she gave into fear of continuing to fight and be responsible for losing soldiers. As Anakin mentioned, she needs to adjust to the times, which means she needs to fight when it's needed to survive.

    I like that Carson has taken over the Wedge role of the story; a good pilot with a good heart. Wedge to me was the real hero of the Skywalker Saga, he did more for the rebellion on pure abilities and no powers than most of the SPB's. Kind of like how Samwise carried Frodo and the plot to Victory, big things from ordinary people.
    Best Ep. of the Mandoverse, really sets up the upcoming movie.
    On to Thrawn, what future scares him so? SPECULATION;
    The return of the Rakata could fit the bill. they could have established a colony in the other galaxy and now are strong enough to return to rule once again. The Rakatan's main foe were the Kwa of Dathomir. Morgan comes from Dathomir. What legacy did the Kwa pass on to the Night Sisters? Thrawn and the New Republic having to team up to repel an invasion would make a good movie, plenty of intrigue and mistrust to go around.

    There are many parallels in this series. I noted the personality change in Ahsoka as soon as she awoke from her Gandalf Grey to white conversion. Someone posted the mortis mural and Ahsoka now represent the sister, Anakin is more the brother, so who would be the father. We have not seen the guiding spirit bird since The Mandalorin season 2 episode 13 The Jedi ... as for comments on why Ahsoka did not drown ... she is not human, and who can say that her lekku tentacles could hold breathable air, or a filter. We never visited Ahsoka homeworld in Star Wars, except for that little bit in the animated short, so it could be a water rich world. Starfish in our seas live ... no ... I am not saying the put a Starfish on Rosario's head 😂😅 .. but it shows how little we know of her race. So the mortis connection is the direction it is going. That's my input .. good reaction btw ... D.
