Family is boring, egotistical, and old school, leave behind a legacy instead, accomplishment that served humanity in a good way, instead of just doing like everybody else, starting from zero with bringing new people into this world, having to teach them everything from the ground up, watch them do the same thing when they’re older with their kids, and so on, for nobody to remember them when they die, and all they’ve ever done being forgotten. I know there’s the idea life not having any meaning, why you should make the most of it for yourself, but we don’t know that for sure, it’s just a theory, and people don’t think about the choices they make, or do it for their own reasons, they just do the “normal” thing, and live boring, miserable, or simple lives cause of that. The 3 goals of life are in my opinion, for your personal life, strive to have a consistent level of happinness, not exstatically, but a stable source of cherishment instead of unhealty mood swings, be 100% selfless, and do good for others only, and find out the meaning of life, this of course only for those working with space exploration. Also, worst episod yet, Ahsoka looked awful, no clone wars actor cameos or voices, flashback set was a cloud of dust, and no story progression.

Seeing Hayden back makes me so happy! You can really tell he's watched The Clone Wars and added Matt Lanter's influence to his performance.

Yep, this is what I wanted to say. He really felt and sounded like Clone Wars Anakin, which is nice because those two performances have always felt so different in the past. Props to Hayden for doing the work and pulling it off.

"One is never too old to learn, snips". He was 45 when he died. Ahsoka is 47.
To me, the lesson he was teaching her was the difference between surviving and living. It was the last lesson he learned, from Luke, when he was her age.
From the moment he betrayed Ahsoka, she's been surviving, and her purpose, her conviction, gone. She's got no friends, family or companions around her, no attachment, just as a Jedi should be. But Ahsoka is no Jedi, and like Anakin said he's now passed on the final lesson he learned to her, even what he learned in his final moments.
And then as he's smiling and remembering about his last lesson by Luke, she says, "I won't fight you" and he chuckles, because that's also what Luke said to him before that last fight. When his heart was full of rage and darkness that fight is what brought him back. So he turns on his lightsaber, and gets ready to pass that on to her.
You live, truly live, or you die just like he did when he became Vader. Just surviving is as good as death.

The actress for young ahsoka did such a great job, not just with the voice and mannerisms but with the lightsaber action as well. Would really like to see her back again if they decide to do a live action clone wars.

Problem with a live action Clone Wars though.. That's 4 seasons, and even if quite some time passes, physically Ahsoka changes little, except for her lekku. Greenblatt would outgrow the character fast. She's already 16, Ahsoka season 1 is 14.

@@jarlhenrik I dont think she'll grow beyond the point of making it work. There's already a lot of make up and prosthetics involved anyway. Facially she won't age much in that time.
Besides, I was thinking more of adapting certain episodes rather than the whole lot...let's be honest, the animated shows had a LOT of filler that were very obviously aimed at younger audiences.
When he says "is that what this is about?" He's not downplaying the things he's done, he's disappointed that Ahsoka has lost he way and is in this funk because of what she thinks is the problem, and his lesson isn't getting through to her. As you see after that, once she understands the lesson and chooses to live and move past everything and become Ahsoka the White, he smiles and says "there's hope for you yet."
Your eyes did not deceive you, Ahsoka's eye color did change to red there! Whether they changed due to the dark side or just the reflection of the red lightsaber in front of her eyes is up for interpretation. 🤔
Sith eyes, it’s what Ahsoka has been battling with inside. Is she going to go down her masters path? Why she didn’t want a Padawan of her own because of fear of passing on anakins legacy. But this last lesson from anakin set her back on the right path.
@@thomaskearse3086 You would get the yellow from the blue contacts reflecting the red light. Pretty sure it was a happy coincidence for the scene and not something intentionally done so it's still up for interpretation.
@@mightheali think it might have been intentional to get ahsoka to lean in closer to the saber in order to see her eyes. like i don’t think she gained sith eyes, but the look on her face combined with the reflection of the saber as she got closer to it was meant to represent something similar

Ahsoka's natural eye color is Blue. If her eyes had simply reflected the Red lightsaber, they would appear Purple (Red + Blue). Her eyes briefly flashed to the Sith yellow. This is similar to the previous episode, where she force choked Baylan's apprentice Shin. Force choke is a Dark Side power, and at the time Ahsoka believed that Shin had killed Sabine...
This episode was so good! It really put into perspective just how young Ahsoka was in clone wars. She was a literal child soldier. AND not only did she go toe to toe with Maul but she won too! It's crazy!

@@KD-cd2ck well exactly that, 17yo isnt a "child soldier", even tho you could make a n argument that "once a child soldier, always a child soldier." I was making that statement cause some people who havet seen Clone Wars might think that Ashoka is the same age in both of the flashbacks.
@@asiimov1617 is a child soldier, your brain is not fully develop until you hit 21 year old if I'm not mistaken. And even then 21 is still very young to fight a war. So 17 still is really young to be in a battle field and no one should in the first place.

Seeing clone wars in live action really puts into perspective how young Ahsoka was during all of it. Even though the show said she was 14, it hits different actually seeing how young she was in the middle of a war

The whales aren't just going in some random direction. The map was following their migration path between galaxies, so they should end up at the same spot. The big hyperspace ring might get there faster, though. I have no idea if the purgills can match speeds with that specialised craft.
Hyperspace was designed after the Purrgil so I imagine the ring isn’t as fast as they are.. power is strongest at the source kind of thing idk
In Mando S3 we saw a Purrgil traveling in hyperspace next to Mando’s ship, so in terms of speed they’re probably on par with any regular ship. As for the eye of sion (don’t know how you spell it), I feel like it’s faster, due to having quadruple the amount of hyperdrive cores then a regular Star destroyer. But maybe that doesn’t affect speed, and instead is designed for longer distance traveled.
@@canadianrage5224 definitely a distance thing. when one drive runs out of fuel, switch to the next one, then you don't have to dropout of hyperspace and worry about refueling along the way.
That's assuming the migration path is linear and ciclical, most are but then again there's no reason space whales would as stars and galaxy's also move, but then again it's fantasy and not fact so you just know they are going to end up where they want either way, you could also say the cosmic force is what guides the space whales at this moment which is why they appeared to ashoka when she needed them
@@nothingmusic42if that's the case then why was the jump powerful enough to disable several ships, and why does hyperspace look completely different? they're definitely going at a higher speed

11:18 At first, I saw this as a power move by Anakin. On rewatches, I recognize this is him showing Ahsoka how to disarm someone, which she uses against him a few minutes later. Just great stuff.
True, but Ahsoka has disarmed and defeated Inquisitors with that same move.
Reminds me of Maul disarming Ahsoka, and then Ahsoka disarming Maul during the Clone Wars.
Thank you Hayden for another phenomenal performance as Anakin. He will always be my favorite character. Love the lesson he taught Ashoka. Seeing the chosen one at his true potential was amazing. His control from light to dark back to light was chefs kiss perfect. And for those wondering, Anakin and Ashoka weren't fighting. Ashoka didn't defeat Anakin. It was a lesson. Master and apprentice. The lesson was to live on and fight, and continue the legacy of masters she comes from. Stop being hung up on Anakin becoming Vader. Remember the good. Don't get hung up on what you can not control. The guilt Ashoka felt from Anakins fall to the darkside was holding her back. So he let her beat that demon in her. She destroyed the memory of Vader. Great job by Dave understanding these characters. And best wishes to your family Holden.

In terms of what Anakin was I also agree with Holden that it was his spirit. Some theories suggest that he could actually be taking the place of the Father from the Mortis arc as he is the 'balance' in the force. I think it would be a neat payoff aswell as he still can be the chosen one, just in a different way
So glad the family is doing better! Holden, whether Ahsoka's eyes changed color is the big question being debated right now. I honestly am not sure if it was just a reflection of the red saber, or if she was letting some of her dark side out.
It was a flash of darkness. But mostly her defeating that drmon in her. That demon of Vader. A metaphor for the guilt she carried for Anakins fall to the darkside. But that's just what I think.
I like how Anakin was shown to be the chosen one here with his balance and perfect control of both light and dark

I loved this episode so much. Hayden was fantastic. His performance was layered and wonderful as he transitioned between light and dark and back again. His physicality hasn't lost a step either.
In that scene, Anakin forced Ahsoka not to give in to despair, forced her to confront her fear of becoming him, her regret at not being there to save him, and to reconcile what he became. Her spirit was so much lighter after his final lesson. She has now faced her final trials to become a jedi knight fully.
The music in this episode was wonderful. Especially the ending with the Purrgils. Brought a sense of magical adventure. Already the 2nd best of the Disney stuff.

I'm somebody who loves andbrespects everything that has been done via the animated shows, but has not watched them, so trying to imagine Ahsoka and a young Anakin together during the Clone Wars in my imagination was tough, this episode REALLY made it feel legit.
The tone of the Clone Wars scene is very telling. The animated shows are very upbeat where this was more "horrors of war". I mean, Ashoka was a child soldier.
Don’t feel bad that the video came out later than usual. Always should focus on the family first and make sure everyone is ok. Hope everyone feels better soon and things get smoother!

Some people say that Anakin's actually become the new version of The Father, from the Mortis Arc in the Clone Wars
The previous Father basically told him that was his destiny. It would be cool if they confirmed that. It would really be such a great way to keep Anakin incorporated into the SW Universe and a fitting destiny for the Chosen One.

Easily my favorite episode of SW in the entire Disney canon, the moment in the fog when Anakin and Askoha were sparing was absolute perfection.
