“How precise you are depends on how precise you are as a person, really,” is my sewing quote to live by. 😂 Thanks for such a detailed walkthrough!! It was incredibly helpful.

Thanks for making these videos. I'm finally almost finished my spencer... just need to do the petals!

This is really like a very in depth instructional video O_O It deserves a link on the pattern shop page...
Thank you for showing us the fiddly bits!

Thank you so much for this super detailed walk through! I haven't gotten to the petals yet on my spencer, but I can already tell me this video is going to save me a *ton* of trial and error.

The fabric choice is bold. And thank you for the explanation. I haven't started my Spencer yet. Been a bit chicken because of the sizing. I have the larger size and I'll definitely need a mock up to see where it needs enlarging and such. Looking forward to the challenge.

I love your fabric choice. You are going to absolutely rock it when you step out in some leggings and long boots.
Thank you for this. I'm a visual learner and this is really well done.

I wish I had your videos before I started : ) I've made all the same mistakes: cutting out those darts on all the petal pieces, putting the staytape right on the edge of the lapel where the seam allowance will be.... My mock-up is size 16-18, and I'd have to alter it a lot to get a better fit, so I'm grateful for your explanation about the size 18 of the plus size pattern: I might invest in another pattern. I'm impressed with the alterations you did for fitting, it's what I find so complex that I can't get my head around it myself. Like other commenters, I love the fabric you've chosen and it works so well with the paracord. Greetings from Dublin

Thanks Jalea this is going to super helpful! Love the camo print! This will be fab! I've a question for you if you don't mind- what kind of transfer paper did you use for the leaves? Yours looks like it works really well. The stuff I have has to be pressed hard to leave marks. Thanks!

Thankyou! It’s just called “carbon paper for dressmaking” and is by Burda. I do have to pressure fairly hard, thus the blunt pencil.

I can’t aspire to this skill level of dressmaking at the moment, but your “sounds off” were too cute!
Ps I do have family living in your region of the country!
