After spending some quality time with my Sunbender, it actually helped me figure out what the heck was wrong with my setup: my pickups were too high. Gearmanndude says this pedal is really sensitive, and it is! Thought that might help some of you if your usual tweaking doesn't seem to bring you into the zone. Try lowering your pickup height, it'll make a difference for sure.
Awesome sounding MK1.5 bender for sure, also FYI to the Zepaholics while this is close to the pedal Jimmy used I believe his was the MK2 the three knob version from Sola Sound, JMI does a reissue that page now uses as his original crapped out, featured and talked about in the It Might Get Loud documentary.
Pages fuzz was made for him in late 1964 no 3 knob till maybe later, but he used his early maybe built sustainer as it was called..till fuzz was going around...to me mosrite is real fuzz n shin ei...
Obviously., You could prattle on about minor differences all damn day long, but always felt the earlier 1 & 2 diodes did the job right....the 1.5, that good balance, before it starts biting it's own tongue. The damn Ge just so sensitive, though, like owning 4 pedals in one, depending on the temperature.
It's a FuzzFace circuit. Just biased slightly different. I think the order of high and low gain transistors is backwards like the "FuzzBox" AKA One Knob Fuzz by Colorsound. It's why they don't really clean up with guitar volume.

Damn, that tone is sweet. That's all you need between the guitar and a nice tube head.
Tasty, vintage toned Sabbath riffs.
I’m pretty sure that’s Zeppelin 😂
Damn I thought we were going to get some Sabotage at 1:55
Great demo!! Please do a comparison between this and the Sunface!
If I had some sick boots like those I would make pedal vids too

Around the 2:40 mark, it starts sounding Warren Haynes-esque. And out of a STRAT! VERY nice!
Yes dude thank you exactly what I was looking for
It's funny cuz he put yardbirds, beck, clapton, and page in the tags when I believe they used the mark II
really nice pedal - nice Zeppy sound.
GMD!! That is one THICK fuzz! Love it!
WOW!!!! Sounds awesome!
That pedal sounds Great!!!
damn that pedal rips
Sounds great. The soul bender is way over the top even though based on a mkII
Is it me or do the older Analogman Sunbender MK 1.5 pedals with the red Sundial sound better then the current production ones.
Agreed don’t like the OC43 transistors
was hoping he'd make a Mark II version...that's the shit
can you do a comparison of this w/ sun face?
Awesome, how about a demo w/ some hum buggies???
gearmanndude, you should make a review of the new Dreamscape by TC Electronic! I would love to watch that!
gearmandude, do you want to be a rock and roll star?

So that's why he was selling all those pedals on eBay...
3:09 20th Century Boy!!!! xD
who doesnt
jack black?
Play Time solo on this thing
Whenever I think of fuzz I think of J Mascis.
DEME DIEZ!!!
ahhhahhh, t-rextacy!
Yup, it's really more like a primitive fuzzface than a bender.

1:55 it's a SABOTAGE
Z-wreck should be a name for a z-vex pedal
Jack Black !
why always volume up full on pedals.... just not practical
