Thank you much! I wanted to get 14 pro but it was slightly over my budget, I see that there are no major differences between regular 14 and 14 Pro. Yes, 14 Pro performs slightly better in low lights but that's okay for me. Really helpful video.

Hey man, love your stuff. It would be great if you could show how cinematic mode holds up with objects as opposed to just a face. I play the guitar and I'm wondering whether the cinematic mode will be able to keep me and my guitar in focus. A similar shot or test would be very helpful. Thanks!

No one is testing in all light conditions. There is sunset and sunrise missing. I don't take pictures in the dark but interested in sunset pictures!! Is there anyone who does that?? Pls help 🤔

I tried iPhone 14 pro for a couple of weeks and then I decided to change it to iPhone 14 one of my reasons is the phone weight . The iPhone 14 pro was so heavy on my hands because my hands are small. I also didn’t see any big differences between both phones, iPhone 14 is a great phone specifically battery life.

I thought 14 and 14 pro have the same size... They did in the shop how can it be heavier. How long is the battery lasting? How are landscape photography and sunsets especially!? I don't care about night pictures but sunsets!!!! I come from a huawei p20
@@carlco3378 The weight difference between both phones are 34 grams. The iPhone 14 is 172 grams but iPhone 14 pro is 206 grams.
Battery life iphone 14 pro is 3200 MAh. But iphone 14 is 3279 MAh.
The cameras are very good will give all you need if you’re not a photographer.
Also you will save some money about $200 before taxes. If you ask me about my opinion choose what you really need not what you want.

Good content. Does the screen on the iPhone 14 stay on all the time when recording video (so you can see what you're filming)? I like the direct sunlight tests you do and I see that the iPhone 14 in this video has more lens flare and even sun streak than the iPhone 14 Pro.

What i like more about regular 14 is less post processing, photos are more vibrant, brighter and less muddy

Nice review. The iPhone 14 holds up very well against the 14 Pro. I thought the second generation sensor shift stabilization in the 14 Pro would perform better at night, but it didn't appear to be dramatically different than the iPhone 14. The ultra wide is a bit better at night, which makes sense as it's a new sensor.
The only significant anomaly I could see was with the Front Facing cameras. Especially in the final shots, it appears that the foliage behind you was moving strangely on the iPhone 14. But not on the iPhone 14 Pro. It may have been a stabilization artifact. But I thought they shared the same sensor on the front camera.
Overall, I agree with your final thoughts. I would add that if you're a content creator who wants to grow on TH-cam, the iPhone 14 will do everything you need to tell a story with acceptable production value. The iPhone SE, the cheapest new iPhone that you can buy, will also do fine as well. Story, character, and consistency are more important than the gear. But it's important to have these kinds of gear reviews so that we have perspective and are reminded what matters most, as content creators.

The biggest thing you get on pro models is “telephoto” lens. I would really do no doubt for replacing ultrawide lens in my ip14 for the zoom lens

Very helpful review and comparison, thank you. The only thing I miss here is a comparison between the regular jpegs from the 12MP sensor on the 14 and the Apple ProRAW from the 48MP sensor on the 14 Pro.
And I wouldn't call the difference between both models "slight", as some others here do, at least not in lower light condintions. Then the Pro advantage turns significant, if you ask me (and I guess it would be even more significant and visible shooting on Apple ProRAW).
The 2 main differentiating factors in 14 pro as per me were
1. The 2X 3X zoom capability in portrait mode
2. The 15X Digital Zoom .
I mostly use my front camera to record videos. before watching your video I was considering buying 14 pro but now with this detailed comparison I will go with 14 . Thanks for saving my money.

Great side by side…. I was actually about to get the Pro (14), then my provider had a massive sale on the 14…. I would like a macro lens, but not necessary, and the 48 mp main is great, but only usable for giant posters, and a waste for most other stuff. 12 mp plus good enhancement software works for most applications. I also really like the weight of around 7 ounces for the 14, verses 8 on the Pro, and better battery…. I think the 14 is underrated. Honestly both phones pics look great, with slightly higher exposure on the 14. I will miss the deep purple colour though, lol
there is no macro lens actually apple could put auto focus into base model but they didnt you can use ultrawide 0.9 for macro shots

Very helpful comparison thank you. I mainly shoot music videos in a room, with little or no movement of camera and mainly wide angle. I think for that reason there is no significant difference between the two, so I will go for the 14.

i don't know if there is big difference between iphone se and iphone 14 pro by video shot. and iphone did not update it's video quality dramatically for a long time,maybe got be catched up by samsung some days later.

I'm a content creator and I really need a good camera for video especially in low light since I live in an apartment which doesn't have natural lighting. Do you think iPhone 14 is enough? The only thing that I noticed is iPhone 14 pro has only an advantage on zoom and that's it.
Regular 14 is enough, but shooting with any phone or camera you'll want some LED lights as they will make a big difference. You can get a pair of lower cost smaller LED light panels and light stands, but that could be around $100. For a bit more, if you have enough space since this is a big light and diffuser, the GVM (amzn.to/3j0moeY) is a good band for buck. Good luck!

I got the 14 pro and won a 14 on a contest. The 14 pro has better sound quality, and the screen by itself is a must for me since it has the 120hz. Camera wise is still better but not a must when i look at a phone

That's just the image processing. If you don't like it, then try different Photographic Styles in the camera settings.

Hey, I was wondering if 14 would be good for taking jewelry photos, as these are the main thing I take pictures of..? I was thinking if 14 not having micro mode is really that big of a deal 🤔
Depends how small the jewelry is and how close you need to get. Regular 14 2X or 3X can take good macro photos. Macro mode is if you need to practically touch it.
Also, if you don't go Pro model, then previous iPhones like the 13 or even 12 can do a similar job with digital zoom.

If you don't use pro file formats (Pro RAW, Pro Res) and don't need optical or longer digital zoom, then go with the non-Pro model.

After 500000 comparison and facts videos, my final decision:
1.) Camera enthusiast? Buy the Pro model.
2.) You're not? Buy the normal model (trust me).
3.) You have big hands? STILL buy the normal model.
4.) You watch / read a lot on the phone? Buy the big (Plus / Max) model.
5.) Your budget doesn't matter? Buy the Pro model.
6.) You're a mobile gamer? I would still choose the iPhone 14 normal model but if you really need that screen space, choose the plus size. Don't even think about the A16 chip if you don't care for every single frame (like for real +/- 5 frames difference). But keep in mind, that the plus / max has like 1 hour more battery life.
I have big hands and lemme tell you what: The normal model ALREADY is no fun to use. It fits "too perfect" in my hand, there is JUST enough space to reach the left part of the keyboard with my thumb on the right hand.

The ultra wide camera on the iPhone 14 is the worst I have ever used. My old A31 takes better pics with it ultra wide camera..
