I love the structure of this song. The first half has that slow eerie chill vibe as till describes the stalker just watching. Then bang! The song changes and gets harder as the story gets more physical and stays that way. The two parts, fire and water.
for me its in the Top 5 even its maybe a crazy rapist story or whatever...always when i hear it it kills me and breaks my heart...and i think sometimes there was also that buddy whos cutting onions next to me
Since the Mutter album they've always finished the album on a slow, chill song like this, which I love. Nebel, Amour, Ein Leid, Rotor Sand and Hallomann. All really great songs. Nebel is a song with a story and lyrically, probably their saddest song. Hallomann ,a SUPER dark song with a story. Unfortunately can't put the audio of studio songs from the new album on TH-cam
The guitar solo on this song is amazing. Really kicks this song to a new level. I’m gonna see them in Los Angeles next year. Don’t think this would make the set list but kind of glad because it’s definitely a hidden gem
I just love that at first glance at this song it is a stalker/predator but after some lostenings it could be a bad relationship as well where one person just keeps on chasing something that just isn't to be and the person just can't let go (at least imo) -and that could either be out of grief or hatred..

Fire and water don't come together unless a pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico is on fire. For me Till describes here a fanatic fan who describes his relationship to his admired star.
Actually that makes perfect sense, especially with the more aggressive part, indicating that the admiration can turn against the star for being ignored. Unrequited love/admiration works an many levels.

The red effect along with the breaks just heightens the experience imo. And I think the visuals are beautiful! The precision of the guitar riffs, that’s what brought me to Rammstein in the beginning. No all over the place metal but very controlled and clean. Simple but perfection
Great. Had been waiting for this. I suggested it once together with Hilf Mir from the same album. I'd give some credits to Richard here for the guitars, I don't know for sure ,just a guess based on the way some Emigrate(Richard's) songs sound, I believe he created most of it here.
He will probably wait till EducatedMarine does a video on that, since it's a song with a story it helps to have English lyrics and visuals to go with the song

There was a custom video on here I saw years ago which had really great footage in it, probably from some movie I wasn't familiar with.
