This is probably one of my favorite songs from Them. First time I listened almost wanted to cry at the end bc I felt his emotions.
The song was almost haunting and I don't remember the original giving me that, like that chill down to my bones.
She really just has such a unique sound that I really felt like I wasn't really ready for her. I am sure during the song some of you probably noticed that my mouth was hanging open and I had to remind myself to actually close my mouth so I don't look like a big dummy.
I am not really sure why shes not better known here in the US, because honestly, before people were telling me in the comments to listen to her, I had never even heard of her. But somethings telling me that's probably not going to be the case for too much longer because she has a lot of talent and she is super unique. I feel like that's going to take her really far. Thank you guys for recommending this. She was awesome.

Fiercely good song. Again with double interpretation. The fanmade video shows the obvious. But you can also interpret the song completely differently if you relate it to the band and their celebrity and the negative side of this business.

It's on the album "Rosenrot" along with one of my other favorites "Spring". I'll try to find a link to it, that's accessible for you.
A lot of people interpretate the lyrics of this awesome song that it's about a stalker in a negative way.
My take on it, is portrays someone too shy to approach the woman he desires. The lyrics play out as a fantasy just in his head. Till, (who used to be an Olympic swimmer in the GDR) is just daydreaming, caught up in the moment. Who hasn't been caught up in a sexual daydream while looking at the person of desire (photography, movie, real life)?
That's the beauty, along with the phenomenal music of Rammstein. They never explain the lyrics. Instead they leave room for the listener to think about the meaning. Whatever that might be.
Regarding your question about the boiling blood, in German it can be taken both ways. Raging anger and lust.

I've seen a lot of recommendations for "Spring". I think that'll be my next one. And I like Rosenrot. I don't know how I don't remember it.
And now that you mention him being a swimmer, I do remember reading that about him. It's clever how he can use metaphors of one thing he's passionate about that's unrelated, but still make them the same thing. 🧠

To me, the song is about an ardent fan stalking his star.
It could also be a song about a Rammstein fan who just wants to know everything about the band. This is such a poignant song for me. The idea of desiring and wanting to be with a person, but knowing that you are just too different and wouldn't work. Reminds me of my early crushes on people off whom we would actually have nothing in common.
I hope you get a chance to see them during their north American tour this fall. I recommend educated marine's translation of "Klavier."
