I just bought a 00018 Modern Deluxe. I have owned at least 25 Martins inc D45, 00042, etc. This one has Amazing tone! It is my all time favorite already.
I got one a few years back. It’s the finest instrument I’ve ever owned across guitars, drums, trumpets, and keys. Opens up fast. Super loud. Crisp. Buttery. Beautiful. Like a race car.
I got this exact model a month ago and it is the best martin that I have played. I own the D28 Modern Deluxe E as well and i love it, but prefer the D18 MD. It is a canon. These modern deluxes cant be beat plugged in as well.
I made it up. In the first one of these acoustic guitar demos in the Guitar Center, I played a little bit of a Tom Petty song called 'won't back down', I play all the same tests to keep it consistent but I didn't want to keep doing something copywritten so I made up something with bar chords that was similar.
Thanks for the review! I LOVE it too!

I think the D 18 is one if martins best ,sounds good all around 😊😊
1938 martin D-18. best guitar ever
"You can see like the stuff in the wood..." Welp, I'm sold lol
Right?!?
Probably 5 of my favorite guitars I've played, that really stand out in my mind over the years, have been D18's.

I was just thinking about this guitar again the other day and I think it would be my perfect guitar if it was a cutaway
That thing shounds great. Love your reviews man. Do some Martin 000s sometime!
Thanks! They actually had a Martin 00028 used, I don't think they still have it though. I'll definitely do a video if they do.
Also, I played a few D28s The other day, and I think they’re pretty good, but not amazing. I think the HD 28 is genuinely unbelievably good
I'll give you $2200 with a joint custody offer. Sounds SO sweet. Great playing, great demo!!
lol tempting
No volute on the D18 brother. Nice video.
Really? ...I Guess I didn't even look on the D18
I played one of these other day, I thought it was nice, but it sounded a bit bright to me, I like the standard d 18 more
Yeah I think those torrified tops give you a sweetness on top but at the expense of low end
@@BillySoundFarm yeah
Do they have a 1934-1942 D-45 there? Love to hear your review or it!
lol
What’s that little bar chord progression you start playing at like 3:47?
