    There's a reason the D-18 is considered the studio reference model and used on more recordings than probably any other acoustic in the last 50 years.

    Purchased a D-28 Reimagined this past weekend and I plan to return it today for the D-18 Reimagined. Love the D-28 too, but really like the warmth of a D-18. Nice demo!

    Great looking guitar. Still love playing my 2014 DX1RAE. The Spruce top has really opened up. One day a D-18

    GREAT sounding guitar. Nice demo Joe. Very clear notes. I prefer a Martin 000-18 VTS cause I'm older and want that mature sound sooner. Thanks for the demo.

      @@soofitnsexytry a 000-28 Custom Authentic 1937. I'm a rosewood guy when it comes to smaller guitars

    out of 9 martins, the D-18 is my favorite - over the HD-28, OM-28. The only one I have that comes close is a 000-15SM

      Funny you mention this. Im currently stuck between deciding on a D18 or a 000-15m

    Would you still get a d18 if you have a j45 or a 000-18?

    When I think of mahogany, I think of warm and sweet. And doesn't mahogany excel in the high and low ends, not so much mids? I had a Guild D-40 which was mahogany, and it was nice and warm.

    I thought the D18 got a revamp in 2012?

    • @G_Demolished
      @G_Demolished ปีที่แล้ว

      It did. The reimagined D18 started then.

    I would love to have a guitar shop by me where the staff is this knowledgeable. It seems anymore you get the high school kid who is clueless or the old guy who has no idea about anything other than tubes.

    Is there a difference between the D18 reimagined and the D18 modern deluxe? Or does the D28 only have the reimagined series?

    • @EmpireMusicPgh
      @EmpireMusicPgh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a difference! The D18 Modern Deluxe offers a VTS Sitka Spruce Top, Protein Glue Construction, Asymmetrical Neck Shape, Carbon Fiber Bridge Plate, Liquid Metal Bridge Pins and some cosmetic changes such as Gold Frets. Please let me know if you would like to discuss further. You can reach me at joe@empiremusic.com Thanks!! -- joe

    Recordings had the shit compressed out of it. Those guitars don't sound like that
