The trigger is a whole another level …it’s that good!
Crazy man! I had been wanting this pistol for a while! So glad I bought it, my fav pistol that I have atm
Good choice
@@stephanm.932 For sure, wish I would’ve got it sooner lol
PDP SD owner here... amazing gun out of the box
Most definitely, I was amazed at what it had to offer from factory, for the money in my opinion nothing better
Bro- great video and presentation. I’m tired of paying ALL these upgrades for my Glock 19 - thank you 🙏
@@seanharrington4768 crazy that you say that ! Thats what led me to the Walther, I put a shit load of $$ in a 19 I built for it to run 2 mags and not shoot anymore, I knew at that point I wanted a factory set up, highly recommend it.
I’m actually doing a video on the 19 next week, I had a slide milled for an optic and the specs didn’t match up with the radian comp, so I had to use the factory barrel, nonetheless I was like man this is crazy haha
They are sweet i have tried alot of semi auto pistols except for those 2000$ and up models and when i take this ro the range people often ask if i shoot compation before the pdp i was just above a novice you can't miss it suppresses great i use 147 grain but i just got my hands on some 158 looking forward to see if the diffrence is noticeable.
Man agreed, can’t wait to get this suppressed and take it out. For the value this gun is crazy! I’m glad I purchased this pistol, if I could only have one this is it haha I’ll have to try it out with some heavier grain ammo once it’s suppressed thanks for advise 💪
Excellent review man!!! It is nice to know there is at least one youtube video reviewing a gun (pistol) that does not entail sucka-ass cliche' youtube bullshit begging for subs, likes, shares and notifications along with sell out annoying commercials. Good up man!!!
@@cipher2 hell Yeahh man I appreciate that! I do this for fun. Told myself if I help one person make their decision on a purchase it would be worth it lol but actually enjoyed it, all these guns I bought no bs, being forced to lie about a product that sucks. Have some guns I regret buying for sure, which I will gladly tell my opinion haha but again much thanks 🤙
If there’s only one thing you do to this mod wise, it’s switching out the recoil spring to a 15lb one. It’s sprung for 18lbs from the factory and it’s too much, that’s what makes it snappy. Just switch out that spring and it’s a whole new animal
@@MoreLikeYewTube wouuld you do this over a compensator I’m torn between which route to go? I believe Herrington arms says to keep the factory spring if I go that route
@@MoreLikeYewTube also what brand ?
Thanks
@@Clvch4life I don’t think the compensator does much for the pistol outside of aesthetics. I would only put it on when I’m not using a suppressor for the looks. There’s a bunch of different companies that make different guides and spring weights for these. It’s an easy Google, there’s lots of options. I would suggest sticking around 12-15 pounds. Lower than that and you’ll run into issues.
@@MoreLikeYewTube appreciate that🤙
I see a lot of people saying it’s really snappy? How do you feel about it?
@@antoniocarrion340i7 the muzzle rise was more of my grip on the gun, I fixed my stance and torqued my hands a bit tighter and it’s much better.
It’s not the flattest shooting gun on the market, but it definitely it’s not bad at all, once you shoot it you’ll fall in love with it. Everything else it has to offer makes up for the slight muzzle rise in my opinion
How do you like the C&H red dot? Can you lower cowitness with the factory iron sites? I just got a PDP Compact and trying to decide on the C&H or Holosun red dot. Great video!
Honestly so far I like it! What really made me go with it, was the price point and that it mounts to factory set up without an adapter plate needed.
I personally don’t like the adapter plates and the C & H has everything the Holosun has to offer for about same price. I haven’t had an issue with it at all.
I run a few other Holosun optics on a few other pistols and they’re awesome! Can’t go wrong with either one, but for this particular set up I’d go with C & H, just for the limited options on set ups with out adapter plates.
Thanks!
@@Clvch4life Thanks for the information, I was leaning torwards the c&h or the holosun EPS. Holosun makes a direct mount SCS but it has the smaller carry window and only in green dot
@@jackmurphy7529 ohhh yes your right they do make a direct mount for the compact. EPS is an awesome optic, I have it on my CZ shadow, you can’t go wrong either way!
You really don’t need a red dot with this gun….especially if you practice on the 7-10 yard range. You should be able to hit the the red a few times, the 9 a lot, and stay at 8. It’s that good. But I do have a 5 inch. I got a free Ameriglo red dot, but haven’t even bothered putting it on…,it shoots that good. If you’re wondering at 25 yards… one shot in the red center. One in the 8 and one in the nine. I had one in the far left lower corner, and the the 5th, I couldn’t tell ya! But you can hit all 25 yards, but really….come on! Get this gun in the size of your choice; you’ll be happy.
@@chriscorbray4457 for sure I agree, I threw a red dot on it because I wanted this as an all around just do it all pistol.
Originally intended for it to be my daily but I like it so much that I don’t want to be put in a position of losing it, plus it’s always best to carry iron sights for a daily.
I carry a FN509C daily with the tritium iron sights, but yes I feel grouping @ 10-15 yards should be pretty consistent with enough practice and rounds through any carry weapon
Bro- I meant to ask you, how do you like that C & H optic ?!
Up here in DFW it’s all holosuns and Trijicon optics.
Thanks
@@seanharrington4768 highly highly recommend it, I was actually happier with it than I thought I would be. I run a few Holosun’s and they are great, but I think the window on this one and clarity is a bit higher quality as well as the material around the frame of red dot, I don’t own any trijicon’s so I can’t attest to them, but if you like Holosun, you’ll definitely like the C & H
@@Clvch4life - I’ll definitely check it out - thanks for the suggestion recommendation
@@seanharrington4768 for sure bro🤙
@@Clvch4life - I’m researching these C & H optics. Which one did you prefer / purchase ?!
Direct Mount
Comp
EDC
Thank you SO much 👊
@@seanharrington4768 I went with the direct mount, in my opinion that’s the way to go, no adapter plates, no worries about threads stripping etc.
PART #: WL-DMO
What part of Texas are you in ?! I’m up here in the DFW area 🗺️
@@seanharrington4768 I’m in Houston area, DFW is where it’s @ tho, we enjoy going out there , much more to do than here
How many rounds does it hold?
@@marvinwrisby4937 17+1 💪🤟
Do you think I can buy it as a first gun ? Thanks
@@musicologo1556 most definitely!! This will set the standard high, you’re going to love it. For the value this is by far one of the best guns under $1000.00
This thing must be too big for edc. Been watching a lot of videos on this, and no one mentioned they edc this, even in the comments. I may get the 2.0 carry comp instead idk
@@ResplendentRaider after running it for a while it is slightly too big for an EDC. Check out the FN 509COMPACT, gun is stupid accurate, and small enough to carry, I just did a video review on it, it’s a 3.7 inch barrel, but it feels and shoots like a mid size, hard to explain. I personally like the feel 3.5-4.0 inch barrel, especially for conceal carry
High left normally…adjust your left middle finger
@@aaronspaulding3679 appreciate that, been working on the fundamentals, slowly but surely getting there 🤙
@@Clvch4life looking great brother!!
@@aaronspaulding3679 gotta get better with irons next lol! Made a pledge no red dots until my groupings are as good as the red dot haha
@@Clvch4life I couldn’t agree more! I purchased my PDP PRO SD and have yet to venture to the dot setup. When i’m good enough with irons, i’ll switch also brotha!
Dang that muzzle rise is crazy as hell. It’s the only thing stopping me from buying this gun.
It’s definitely not the flattest shooting gun for sure I admit, but man every thing it has to offer kind of makes up for it.
See if you can shoot one before buying it, it’s not as bad as it looks, but I do see where your coming from, that and the iron sights are really the only knock on the gun in my personal opinion
@@DMOLISH I’m thinking about it! A lot of people have good feedback on Herrington Arms, not too bad on price either
If you practice, and use it correctly, the gun falls back EXACTLY where you first pulled the trigger. I’ve never seen anything like it. If you’re a good shooter, you’ll be better. If you’re a new shooter, you’ll get pretty good….fast!
@@chriscorbray4457 for sure after a while the trigger break, muzzle rise, etc. are so predictable and it just becomes muscle memory. I agree 100% with you
There's a steel spring you can buy and out in it. Makes it shoot extremely flat
TTI Canik trigger is a little better
@@briancarrier9299 I’ve been wanting to get my hands on one to try it out, I’m a fan of Canik as well
Man, I’ve been trying to decide between this and MR920 by Shadow Systems. You might have just helped me make my decision. Thanks
So dope man, I told my self if I help 1 person make their decision it would be bad ass lol
I’ve shot both (don’t personally own the MR920) and I can honestly say, go with Walther you will not regret it, this performance trigger is stupid smooth, the grip feels perfect, threaded barrel, if I could only have 1 pistol, till this day I’m rocking with this one all day long
@@Clvch4life what holster are you using?
@@Clvch4life I just caught you said its Tier 1 holster. Axis Elite? If so, under choices did you just choose PDP Compact 4"?
@@Andrew-im7fg I actually got the MSP (universal light bearing holster) for the Stream light TLR 1 - HL. Works great highly recommend ! I run my HK’s, Glocks, etc no issues it works well. Fits snug and holds well, good bang for buck because you can rotate pistols
Brother, I just got mine in FDE. I really like this pistol. Definitely going to be my carry. It’s ACCURATE. Thanks for recommending bro
Whats with lights..
@@JeffZumbrock me personally I think they help keep muzzle rise down, a better grip if you hold high when shooting.
Also if you ever need it @ night you’ll have it.
Plus the holster I have allows me to transition between different guns as long as the same flashlight is on . A lot of pros in my opinion
Many uses
Because seeing is cool.
@@bsojdfo lol for sure 🤟
@@celphalonred1999 most definitely 🤙
