    Hi Ms. Elise! I have a question, for your bath salts how do you stop them from hardening?

    • @WholeElise
      @WholeElise  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They can clump together something's usually if there's too much oil in the salts, you can reduce the amount of essentials oils so that they don't stick together. Alternatively they may be packed too tightly in the container. Hope that helps 😊

    Hello everyone. I am glad I found this channel. I love making my own products. I have a question about perservatives. When you add the preservative eco can I use Leucidal liquid Sf in its place? I usually make body butters, salves and deodorants. Using preservatives are new to me ( and a bit overwhelming). I want to try out some of your recipes but I only have the Leucidal and optiphen preservative.

    • @WholeElise
      @WholeElise  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as it's a broad spectrum preservatives, you can use whatever you have available. Just make sure to follow the usage amounts listed on the preservative. I explain more about preservatives here: wholeelise.com/blog/beginners-guide-to-lotion-making/ 😊

    When making perfume, what’s the difference between making perfume with alcohol and making perfume with oils only?

    • @WholeElise
      @WholeElise  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's completely down to personal preference, alcohol dries faster and can last longer but some find it irritating on the skin. You can make the same fragrance blend and mix one with alcohol and one with oil and see which you like best 💚

    Help help what do you do if you cannot get hold of PEG 40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil. Do you just omit it or replace.. if so what with. Trying to make it now!!

    • @janetedge2358
      @janetedge2358 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @WholeElise ...any chance of you giving me some of your expertise on this please.

    • @WholeElise
      @WholeElise  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, feel free to omit by increasing the amount of water to make up the deficit. For specific instructions please see timestamp 10:48 in my previous tutorial: th-cam.com/video/FiriLkStGpI/w-d-xo.html
      Alternatively, you can use a traditional oil but that would require an emulsifier 😊

  • @janetedge2358
    @janetedge2358 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    For the hand wash can someone tell me if I can use ordinary castor oil instead of PEG-40. If not , can someone suggest what I can use instead. Love these recipes but the list of different ingredients its getting very expensive. Went to the Luxury Hand wash formula one, but again despite lots of 'ingredients already' more ingredients to buy.
