Love this example!! Can you show us how you would finish the beads if you did the edge of a skirt or table runner? How would they connect when you get close to the other end?
@@GailPatriceDesign my late mom also left me with a gazillion beads. I would have to strand them but just getting info in my head on ways to use them since I don’t make a ton of jewelry. Thanks for all the inspiration. I am finishing a BOM and then will make some things on serger. Assume we email pics or is there a fb group?
Thank you, that was very interesting. I was wondering whether a beading foot was worth buying, but looking at your rhinestones I realise I have a necklace I never wear, I might well now chop it up and sew it onto a garment instead? :)
Great idea. I don’t know if you’re a fan of the series “Victoria” but one of her gowns had beautiful gems on it and I read about how it was created and the engineer chopped up a bracelet or necklace and attached it to the dress bodice. Thanks for watching Serger Tip Clips!
Hi Caryl, Snip off the last few beads that are in the seam allowance to make stitching the seam possible without breaking a needle. Let me know if you have more questions and thanks for watching Serger Tip Clips!
