Clear Curve Foot Serger Circles

- In this Serger Tip Clip, you'll learn a clever workaround for creating circles on the serger.
I’ll use the clear curve foot for optimal maneuverability. The clear curve foot allows you to turn corners and go around deep curves very easily. A great analogy for this is - with the standard foot it’s like turning a bus around a city corner and with the short curve foot it’s like turning a sportscar around a city corner.
The curve foot is also great for facings or pocket bags.

I bought the L890 for the screen and the free arm. Have you seen the Viking Amber air 600? I bought the Bernina for its quality, but the Viking is lower priced and seems to have most of the same features. If you get a chance to try the Viking, let us know about it. I sew on a Bernina 790 plus and love it. Of course I embroider on it too. One smooth machine there.
@@lynnleipold2617 Hi Lynn, I haven't seen the Viking Amber air 600 in person and can't give you any info on it because I don't know anyone who has one. I looked at the manual online and it looks like the widest overlock stitch it has is 6.5mm. Bernina's is 9.0mm-big difference. Let us know if you try it out. Thanks!
@@GailPatriceDesign well, I am sure it won’t be as fabulous as the Bernina but it looks intriguing. It seems to be reminiscent of Viking’s old 936 which was a fabulous serger but so hard to thread.

Gail, hi. Please tell me which serger combo machine you are using here. I have bought Bernina B590 and then saw the Bernina L890 Serger Combo. It looks like you have a Babylock here. Can you recommend which one to use? Also can you compare with the Bernina L890? Because very costly but worth the extra expense?

The Curve Foot for the L890 is C23. You'll love it!
I really wish a circle foot was even available for my Imagine. Only on the extremely pricey machines.
Hi Sue, Use the clear standard foot and lighten your presser foot pressure. Make a few practice circles on scrap fabric and let me know if you need help. Thanks!

I used to sell those rulers but the company that manufactured them was sold. Try Amazon-they have everything!
Could you let me know if the Babylock Victory ( formerly known as the Imagine) can use this curve foot?
No it won’t fit the Victory.
Can the Baby Lock Victory use this curve foot?
