as usual highest respect for your effort putting in all of your videos, I had to laugh when you hit the DIY recommendation for the SB19 which is already here at my place waiting for a project and only from raw listening I can say it´s a very good tweeter.😎🥳
nice video, i knew the vifa/peerless would do well, i have used them in several projects with great results, they work really well in a 3way, if you want to cross over lower they make a 25mm version NE25VTS. They have some other models that are larger that do exceptionally well, their midbass drivers are also really good but not always ideal for automotive (not in doors) and they are typically non coated wood pulp/paper. if you want to go up a level and money isnt a barrier have a look into the scan speak revelator and illiminator lines they are really high end but performance matches. the ScanSpeak Illuminator D3004/6600 AirCirc are pretty exceptional they do all the airy sparkle stuff but are listen to all day non fatiguing, the D3004/6020 & D2004/6020 are physically smaller and would do better physically in an automotive setup with limited space.
Well not exatcly, the NE25VTS-04 is 25mm whereas the NE19VTS-04 in the video is 19mm. So mostly the same, but the bigger one starts to roll off sooner at the top end as is typical for bigger drivers
These comparison videos are quite enlightening. You could do these exclusively as a Project Farm style audio channel. I'd feel you'd burn out doing your own builds though. Like a vehicle mechanic who never wants to work on their own vehicles
I'm very interested about square AMT that gives nice characteristics. Maybe you know any information about model name, or manufacturer, does it Chinese or European? It may sels on AliExpress?
Could you do a "how different full range speakers measure"? I mean how does the beaming high frequencies change from size to size, how does a wizzer helps, and what are it's downsides, maybe throw in two different coaxials? Like one similar to car audio coaxials where the tweeter is further away in the midrange cone and another one more like hi-fi coaxials where the tweeter is basically in the dustcap's place.
Well as interesting as it is, it is not useful for my purpose as my channel is focusing on car systems, not home audio. In cars we do not use big full range drivers, we utilise 2-3-4 way systems.
Boss check the manual about 96k and windows ❤ mac users no problem up at that resolution. Also for considering measure all at at 1 watt or 2.83Volts, many of those measurements will reflect characteristics in distortion. Level it out in Rew on the graph, peace bro.
Excellent video, thank you for sharing. May I know the SPL meter used? is it capable of A/C/unweighted measurement? And what weighting used in this video? TIA
@@RAW-CAt Much appreciate your reply, hesitate to spend too much, but worry it's not sufficient, now I'm getting one with only A weighted. Enjoyed much of your videos, especially REW related measurement & learned lots of new things. Thank you.

Hey guys I have a question. I have noticed that my subwoofer in the back blends in very good in thw front seats but in the backseats it is out of phase with the midbass and is also too loud do you know a way where my sub is also in phase with the backseats ?
@@RAW-CAt if you will announce when you will do the tweeter shootout i will be happy to send you some dayton amt mini 8s and dayton amt pod 4s (i think these are discontinued). these will ship from USA, so i'll need some advanced notice.
Thanks! The main problem with the Chinese parts is consistency. I would also like to see a waterfall diagram of the beryllium tweeters, impedance plot looks a bit weired, too. They are somehow tempting, but the risk to spend 240,- for the pair and receive lemons isn't worth it. Same is true for AMT and ribbon knock offs from CN. With Vifa, Peerless, Scanspeak and everything after the restructuring to Tymphany Group, you don't have to worry about manufacturing quality, consistency and driver design. The ferrofluid used is also long-term stable, with the Chinese drivers you don't know what kind of soup they put in there. It is, what it is. Anyway, is your measuring microphone actually corrected above 10k? Greetings!
Agreed, hard to generalize as there's often superior results from each type. 𝘽𝙐𝙏, planar magnetic certainly have performance advantages that other platforms don't.
You must have a solid Mrs!!! I love how you just set your laboratory up where u need to! Amazing information and effort on the videos. Priceless!
Now my wife and kid is on vacation, so I have the house all to myself😉

Can´t wait for the full range driver series!
Cool! I just used the SB 29mm ring dome in a build. It measured great.

That Vifa tweeter is called Peerless Tymphany NE25VTS-04 in the Netherlands
