      I just saw this at Costco too. Does it work well on pet hair? I just returned the bissell robot because it was terrible

      @@KUROBLK350 I find it able to do ok with pet hair, the S9 is more powerful and will pickup more. The dual extractor bar design makes cleaning the hair off very easy.

    Pretty impressive job, shows you how important self emptying is. how many times did it need to recharge? I'm hoping costco will have a great deal for christmas. doesn't seam like none scan floor surface for debris left behind just run padden and hope they get it all

      It did the entire job, with 60% battery life to spare. The reason behind this is the robot was constantly going back to it docking station to empty itself. While it was emptying the robot was charging too.

    How often do you empty your S5 Max during normal use? Is the self emptying function really that necessary?

      Empty it once a week. I don't have any pets and not a lot foot traffic, so me personally a self emptying system not necessarily, just a convenience.

    Felt up a Roomba i6+. Maps, self-empties, sucks...so far so far.

      Quick FYI you may not know about because you do have newer ones RobotMasters. The feature to add cleaning zones is not applicable to Android version 6 or less. It is in the fine print.

      The robot does not store whole objects afaik.

      Right now Roombs are the only self emptying system that can handle this much debris. Other good alternatives which is currently on sale is the Roborock S5 Max amzn.to/34pI6xS

      Lastly the T8 offers a good self emptying system amzn.to/33ylrAr

    I found robovac 11s at goodwill. Was dirty and i clean it. It works. To bad isnt one u have self empy station

    Does the roborock s4 support automatic multi floor mapping? What I mean is if I put it upstairs will it automatically know it’s upstairs. (Same with downstairs)

      No that only for the S5 Max and S6 Max. You have to manually select the correct map within the App.

      It can empty up to 70 times last time I recall in a single cleaning run or until the bag full

    The overall design of the Roomba has been the same since the 500 series. It does make me wonder though, I wonder if you can dock a 500 series Roomba on a self-empty bin. It wouldn't empty the bin, but it might charge from it.

      Yes you can physically place the 500 series on the self emptying bin and the robot will charge. The robot won't recognize the station or activate it.

    So I bought a ozmo t8 3D the other day thinking it was the newer one that came out. It cleans fairly well, but I'm disappointed that it doesn't come with all the cool new features, and it's bad about picking things up around edges, and trash near random objects. The Ozmo t8 3d has a hard time scooting on floors when you use the mop on it's highest setting. I'm going to exchange it tomorrow morning for the one I want.

      I'm in a toss-up between the Ozmo T8 Aivi or a Roomba i3. Right now the cool Aivi's cool features are calling my name, but it doesn't come with the self cleaning bin which I'm sorely going to miss. Which one do you recommend?

    Hay, today came my roomba s9 and when it turns it makes weird noise like rubber shuttering above my carpet :( is this normal?

      No check to make sure the extractor bar housing not bent. Do you have hardwood floors? If so does it make the same sound? Now try removing the extractor bars and run the robot again on carpet and hardwood floors. Does it make the same sound?. If so it a bent housing and iRobot can assist in getting a replacement.

      I can't believe there are people who think that a robotic vacuum cleaner is a spi gadget , there's no cameras in them or microphones that could even be used by someone to be a creep towards someone else's private life.

      @@josephbennett3482 it is a spy and actually there is cameras and microphones equiped on them. I have taken many apart and can confirm that they are on 24/7 as long as it has power. It takes video 24/7 and stores it to a 16GB EMMC chip and when it has a connection to a iRobot server it uploades the videos to the server and erases the chip so on and so forth. So for you to say it's not spying is a very very stupid and nieve claim. Check your facts ass hat.

    Try vacuuming pieces of toilet paper

      I tried with regular paper and the static buildup caused the paper to clump together and clog the robot vacuum. For just a few pieces the robot will do fine but anymore will cause issues. The same case goes to larger pieces like Cheerios and lucky charms.

      Hmmmm I would personally go with the i8+ because the majority of the features are there on the i8+ for less. The S9+ is nice if you like the D shape design and better carpet cleaning performance.

      Hard to tell had the i3+ that has a newer tower but didn’t notice any performance boost on the tower. Maybe it for certain models

    For all of the crazy things you do im very surprised that you don't have a rodent problem cause you throw a ton of yummy food all over your house , you must do a lot of thorough cleaning after goofing around like that.

      @@RobotMasters you know one thing i had in mind that the manufacturers of all of the different robotic vacuums should do: they should put a rotating beacon light on them in either Amber or Red like what is seen on commercial vehicles to warn people to be careful when around the device since they move in random patterns especially the shark vacuums.
      I just got the Shark Ion robot and it's easy to lose track of especially when there is noise from a TV or music playing.

      @@RobotMasters i mean to have a beacon on them so they are noticeable whenever they are in operation and moving about with a bunch of noise drowning out their motor , my robot is quiet and i sometimes almost trip on it so i try to not walk around my bedroom when it's cleaning.
      They do an awesome job at cleaning up bird seed , hey that should be your next test with yours to see if they can get all of the dropped seed cleaned up as if they are cleaning up after pet birds.
