  • iRobot created a Costco exclusive, the Room ba i8+. With 20% better battery life, additional accessories like Extra Air Filter, 4 disposable self emptying bags, and Virtual Wall Boundary. In this video we will look at how well the iRobot Roomba i8+ does and look at the New App Interface.

    I’ve only used the lighthouse a couple times with my i7+ due to the excellent mapping function, but I’ve found that if you place the lighthouse on the opposite side of the doorway, it allows the vacuum to get much closer to that entryway.

    I just saw i7+($1000 CAD) and i8+($1100 CAD) on sale for the same price $750CAD. So I bought the i8+ I hope it’s decent because I have a bunny and doggo and I like to do a deep clean with a vacuum 1-2 a week and then mop but my dog has severe dust allergies so I’m hoping this will help lessen any dust build up over the week.
    I hope it’ll help both doggo and bunny since bunnies are also sensitive to dust because they’re so low to the ground it can cause respiratory problems because dust and anything can get stuck in their little noses.

    • @RobotMasters

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm hard choice, both have unique features. I would get the iRobot i8+ for homes that are messier and have a lot pet hair. Found the dual extractor bars to be easier to clean the hair off. The T8+ offers every feature imaginable. Lidar, the ability to live stream the front facing camera, an optional vibrating mopping system. One way audio output. So if you want a fully featured robot the T8 hard to beat.

    is it even worth getting camera based robot vacuums anymore? I heard it's not, and that LIDAR vacuums are the best

    • @RobotMasters

      The main reason to get a camera based system is for the durability. Cameras have no moving parts so they tend to be more reliable. Overtime Camera systems can be more advance if they incorporate better hardware and software. Tesla uses camera for their self driving system over Lidar.
